Honor wasn't the type of girl that will get all flustered up around her crush. She didn't blush and she did not stutter.

She looked him dead in the eye, raised an eyebrow and left him speechless.

Yes, whenever she heard Uriah's voice a stupid smile overcame her features.

And when her thirteen year old self was in homeroom and he was a couple seats away from her and he heard him make a joke she laughed.

When she saw that he helped his friends or anyone that the teacher would call on she was in awe of him.

Or when he went to his brothers school to talk to their bullies her heart ached.

So of course, Honor liked him. How could she not?

Everyone knew she liked him. Honor and Uriah always made sense to people.

But could he see this? Had he ever seen them as a potential anything? Was she in his mind as much as he was on hers?

Did the first conversation they had in four years replay on his mind over and over again like it did for her?

Everytime she laughed during lunch, she hoped that he was watching, hoping he fell for her smile just like she did with his.

He was that 'nothing' when people asked what she was thinking about.

She pushed her vulnerable side to the back of her mind and aproched him.

Honor took one last full deep breath because she knew she couldn't do that around him.

"Hi Uriah."

The boy of her dreams turns around and meets her eyes and she has to keep her self in check.

"Hey." He turns back to his task which is stuffing books into his locker.

"There's a party on today. You'll be at my house to pick me up at eight. Don't keep me waiting."

This was normal Honor. She didn't wait around the bush, she said every word with honesty and Uriah didn't think he had it in him to say no.

"Do you want to wreck my car? Possibly lure me into a forest and murder me? Or would you be able to settle with spiking my drink and letting me wander around the party?"

Or maybe he did.

With each sentence he took a step forward and Honor looked like she was shrinking.

This was what Honor always wanted, the close proximity between them but it didn't feel right. Especially with the venom that carried each word Uriah said.

"Look, Uriah I know what I did was stupid but I was thirteen. I craved attention and that was the only way I thought I could get it. I learned my lesson."

Uriah stepped back and furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't know whether to believe you or just accept that this classic Honor Newman style."

Honor wanted to scoff. She wanted to say that she wouldn't be there when he would make up his mind, but she would.

She would be there at the end of the world if she had to, waiting for him with open arms as dramatic as it sounded.

Instead she took a step back as well. She nodded her head. "I understand if you won't want to pick me up."

With one last look, she turned around and started heading our of school, skiping her last period.

I hope he will show up.

But I guess he doesn't have a reason to.
