"So,"

"So,"

"Hmm."

"Hmmm."

"This is completely normal."

"I never said I personally was."

"Is what we're doing wrong?"

"I don't think so. Technically no."

"Really?"

"Honor we're literally spying on my sister. This is mediocre at best." Uriah puts a hand on her shoulder.

Unauthorised by anyone, not given consent by anyone, Uriah and Honor were hiding behind the bushes of one of Lina's friends' house.

"She snuck out at one a.m to go to this random person's house. It's now," Uriah checks his phone. "Two forty-five, way past her curfew-"

"Not to mention yours."

"First of all, I'm eighteen in a few weeks so that's just a technicality-"

"Oh, you and your technicalities." Honor interrupts with narrowed eyes.

"And second, I thought you were all about walking on the edge."

"Yeah, when it's a reasonable hour!" Honor hisses, standing up. "And I know damn well that when you were sixteen you wanted privacy!"

"She wants privacy? If she wants privacy, she can lock herself in her room, make us all leave the house so she can have a girls night or whatever. Privacy is not sneaking behind her parents back at one a.m! Before you go all saint Honor on me, I'm only sneaking out to watch her back!"

"What a caring brother you are!" Honor says in a sarcastic tone.

Uriah stands up, not caring also. "For your information-"

"What are you two doing here?"

Crap.

They got caught.

"Lina," They both drawl, looking at the angry girl in front of them.

"Um well, we were actuall-"

"Looking if all the street lights work." Uriah points at a random one. He takes a look at it and tilts his head. "Yep. Aha. I think our work here is done." He puts his hands in his back pockets, rocking back and fourth on the heels of his feet.

Wrapping and arm around Honor's shoulders, he pulls her to his side.

"We should get going."

"You think I believe that?"

"A guy can hope."

"Uriah," Lina looks at him with raised eyebrows. "Tell me why you got fake blondie to come here." She crosses her arms.

"Hey, I am a natural blonde." Honor flips her hair. "It runs in the family."

Lina nods her off with narrowed eyes. "Of course it does."

"Since Uriah isn't telling you the truth, I'll tell you." She pushes his chest slightly and steps towards Lina.

"He was worried about you. He dragged my ass all the way here, to check up on you when he saw that you were gone. And with what he told me, this is past your curfew and you have a driving test in a couple of days you need to prepare for. I'm all about 'you only live once' but not when you have this much on your plate. Are you coming with us or not?"

Looking down and clicking her tounge, Lina mutters "Sure."

Honor smiles and slings her arm around Uriah's neck.

"That's how you deal with sixteen year olds you dimwit." She flicks his nose and the three start walking to the car.

They made a good team nevertheless.
