It felt like déjà vu.

Here Honor was ruining the pact she made with herself before even knowing what a crush is.

Don't cry over a boy.

It doesn't matter if he hurts you physically during recess or if he insults your hair.

You simply don't do it.

Because you're stronger than that.

Uriah Jones broke her pact.

Because Honor was sitting on the top of her dad's roof again, quiet fat tears slipping down her face. Her lip trembling and her mind clear.

She was hurt.

"Honor," With hesitant steps Uriah slowly aproches her, looking up at her since he was at the patio.

"You don't have to do this Jones." She shakes her head. "Forget about me and leave me wallow in pain."

"Can you please come down here and talk?"

Honor scoffs. "So you can tell me you feel sorry you don't like me? I mean it Uriah. Leave me alone."

"Honor, come on."

Her voice sounds different from crying. It sounds broken and if Honor Newman was one thing she was definitely not broken.

"You're so lucky I-" She stops her self. "You know what? I'm going to stop my further embarrassment and not say the L word."

She stands up again, climbs the vine wrapped around the pole holding the patio up and jumps down.

"That's what you meant when you said you already fell huh?"

"Are you really that oblivious?"

"Only for you."

"Don't do that." She sounded broken again. "Don't do the careless flirting when I've addressed my emotions."

"Who says it's careless?"

"This is a bad idea. A very bad idea." Honor looks away. "I think you should,"

As she turns her head to look at Uriah she doesn't have time to assess the long strides he'd taken towards her because next thing you know, Uriah slides a hand around Honor's waist, presses his body flush to hers and kisses the daylights out of her.

This is everything Honor had imagined and so much more.

Her bottom lip caught in his mouth as his hands hold her tighter to him. He inhales her sighs of happines and she threads her fingers on those messy locks.

Their first kiss together.

Did she get the guy? The one that had been always in her mind.

They were so intertwined with each other. Their tounges battling for dominance, their hands wandering and eyes closed for this blissful moment.

When they finally let go of each other, both panting heavily.

Honor's lips felt like they were tingling and as she brings her hand to touch them, the only thing that stopped Uriah for going for another round of rigorous kissing was the fact that she created a distance between them.

"I won't beg for someone to love or like me. I learned the hard way that there is no use of hopeless pleas of trying to make someone stay. I am too good to chase anyone who does not know my worth and I am too wild to keep waiting for someone who doesn't acknowledge my value. I want to be loved unconditionally. I hope you understand all of that. Yes, I was chasing you. I was trying to get your attention when we were thirteen and when I came back, fresh of seventeen  I wasn't chasing you anymore. I was opening you eyes and letting you know that you're a part of me. You're an extension of me. So this time I won't run. I'm telling you again for the millionth time. I fucking like you Uriah Jones."

Uriah takes a step forward. "I fucking like you too."

That's all it took for Honor to eliminate the space between them and initiate their second kiss.

And when they break apart, Uriah takes a look at her.

"We should make up for all the years I was supposed to be kissing you."
