Uriah was sure he didn't like Honor Newman.
No he didn't. He couldn't.
She was the girl that pranked and embarrassed him more times then he could count.
But then his mind would go to the wonderful experiences she'd given him this past month.
Like the time where she forced him to drive forty five minutes out of town to get her favorite pistachios.
"I can't believe you're making me do this."
"Hey for your information 'Nuts for you' makes some of the best pistachios in existence. I'm giving you an opportunity of a lifetime."
She had proped her feet on his dashboard and was occupied on her phone only for it to be snatched away by Uriah.
"Oh no you don't. I stayed up until three a.m last night for the Spanish test. You're keeping me awake whether you like it or not."
Honor had grinned. "Baby if you wanted to make conversation, you could've just asked."
Uriah had punished her with a poke in her ribs while biting his lips at her words.
Honor was sure her lungs gave out.
She had it bad for this guy.
And then a song came on. A song that Honor knew Uriah loved.
Her stalker tendencies were to die for.
So she had turned the volume up all the way and sung her little heart out while Uriah sat there, driving, mouthing the lyrics and laughing at Honor's moves.
By the time they had arrived, Uriah was sure he hadn't laughed that hard during his whole life.
Honor had danced around the supermarket, huming until she had found her beloved pistachios.
And Uriah had joined her at one point.
Not caring what other people thought.
There was also that other time, where she was on her period and had asked for Uriah to bring her chocolate.
"Okay, so it's the twenty first century. Me talking about my period shouldn't be akward right?" Honor had asked over the phone.
"Only if you want it to be."
Uriah had been laying down on his bed, mindlessly scrolling through his phone when Honor had called.
He had jumped up and fixed his hair even though she couldn't see him. He had cleared his voice and had tested out what he would say to her.
"Well I don't want it to be akward. Get me chocolate. I'm putting Netflix on, now let's get to open your feminine side."
Damn it. Damn it. Damn it.
She made him flush that pink color again but this time he was glad she couldn't see it.
"I'll see you in a few."
He had clutched his phone to his chest and had fallen backwards in his bed.
Why was she making him feel this way?
But they had also shared some not so fun moments.
One day, Honor didn't show up to school again.
Uriah had thought that she was up to no good like usual but when he had called, she didn't pick up, not like last time.
After school he had gone to her mother's apartment because he knew that she spent Tuesdays at her mother's.
Only to not find her there.
He went to his brothers' school and had taken them home.
He was surely tired of driving back and forth but he still went to Honor's father.
The sun had set and the moon had taken its place. The stars were shining bright and so were Honor's eyes.
She was sitting in the rooftop and the lights of the house were all off.
"Hey."
A pout had formed its way into her face. "Hi." She held back tears and that's when Uriah had noticed she was crying.
He panicked. What should he do?
"Hey, come down here why are you crying?" He had swallowed and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Will you catch me if I jump?"
"You're tall man, I don't know if I can."
A breathy laugh escaped Honor.
With hesitant steps she slowly stood up and climbed her way down.
"I would have saved you if you would've fallen."
"I already have."
"Huh?"
"Never mind. Do I have to explain?"
Uriah shrugged. "You don't have to, but if you need to then I'll be here."
Next thing you know Honor's heart stopped because Uriah Jones, her Uriah, her long time crush, the guy that made her sleepless with him invading her thoughts, had pulled her in for a hug.
"I'm sorry." Honor had cried.
"Not excatly what I was expecting. Why are you sorry?" He had tucked her head under his chin.
"For locking you into the school, for dying your hair, for stealing your clothes, for ruining the winter ball, for convincing Abby you had a footsie fetish. Believe me you had no idea how long I had to explain what a fetish was. But that's not my point, my point is that I'm sorry for doing all of that. I told you, I learned my lesson, I had to be away from you."
Uriah had pulled back to stare at her and Honor almost whimpered at the loss of contact.
"Most thirteen year olds don't know what a fetish is." He spoke.
Honor had scoffed. "Wow. I give this heartfelt speech and all you have to say is that? I'm not even sure why I like you Jones."
Honor meant to slyly reveal her feelings but Uriah didn't take it as it was meant.
"I'm over that. Yeah, at the time they were annoying but you have no idea how many pranks you inspired."
Honor had gone back to resting her head on his chest and she could swear she heard Uriah's rapid heartbeats.
"So you forgive me?"
"Would anything really change if I didn't?"
"Not likely, but still, I need closure."
"Well then you've got it."
So after all of these events, did Uriah Jones have feelings for Honor Newman?
You bet his mother's Netflix account he did.
