Mufida was beyond speechless, she was suddenly feeling lightheaded as her head kept on swirling his words echoing in her head continuously. She couldn't bring herself to believe that the Arrogant, and most egoistic guy just proposed to her.

It better be a dream.

Gosh, it's damn real.

Mufida glanced at him, meeting his eyes for the first time. She saw something she have never seen in them, she couldn't tell what exactly but it was different. It was filled with so many untold emotions and feelings.

On the other hand is Haidar and now this ?

"Dr. Hisham please get up."Mufida finally found her words. She didn't want to shut him up or keep quite without saying anything to him. Of course, she will give him an answer but first he should get up from the position he was in as it's very disturbing.

"I don't know what to say seriously, but I'll surely think about it. I just need time to process everything."

Hisham gave a firm nod and said. "Take all the time you need, but I really hope your answer will be worthy of the wait."He gave her a lopsided grin, without waiting for her reply, he left.

Mufida waited till he was out of view before releasing the breath she had no idea she was holding. She walked back inside and met the girls in one of room upstairs. Immediately she entered the room, Raheenah started interrogating her. She couldn't even wait for her to settle down first and get her thoughts together before telling them everything.

"Where were you?"

"In the backyard."Mufida replied, she knew their next question will be probably 'why she went to the backyard' "Someone proposed to me."

The girls squealed and dragged her to the bed and forced her to seat down on the bed.

"Is that someone Haidar ?"Ruhainah questioned wiggling her brows at Mufida.

You know how girls who just got proposed act like right ? All shy and happy but Mufida's own was different she just rolled her eyes and said. "No, his twin brother Hisham."

"Omoooo today just got better."Laiba yelled earning a glare from Mufida. If they could all understand the kind of dilemma she is in they won't tease her.

"Wait, you mean Hisham loves you and he proposed to you to marry him?"Raheenah inquired furrowing her brows at Mufida who just nodded briefly.

"What about Haidar ? Will you give Hisham a chance?"

"Maybe, I think."Mufida answered unsure of her own words. "You see Haidar kinda lost his memory and he doesn't remember me..."She started but Raheenah cut her off.

"Memory what ? But Ridwan never mentioned something as such to me, he even told me that they had a good talk and he was recovering fast."Raheenah stated a crease appearing between her eyebrows.

This is confusing.

"That's not possible, I witnessed it myself, he couldn't recognize me that day and sent me away. Halima confirmed it to me that he really did lost his memory."Mufida said, owing to what she had been told.

Was it all a lie ?

"If he has indeed lost his memory then Ridwan will never hide it from me. Something is really fishy here."Raheenah added shaking her head.

"Do you think he lied to Mufida?"Laiba asked even though she didn't know half of the story.

"I can't say."Raheenah replied biting her lower lip.

Mufida was quite, so many thoughts crossing her mind.

Was it all fake ?

Did he did it just to gain her attention ?

If that's true then he is using her.

"Haidar won't do such a thing."Ruhainah stated.

"This is not his first time."Mufida paused briefly. "We'll just have to find out the truth, and I know what to do."

Haidar, let it no be what I think.

"What are you going to do?"

"I'll text Halima, saying that I want to have lunch with him tomorrow and if he agrees immediately then it's a lie, for sure."

"But what if he doesn't agree?"

"We should wait and see first."Laiba advised. Mufida texted Halima and a reply immediately. They all exchanged the same look before reading the message.

He said yes !

Another message came in. What's the location?

The cat is out of the bag. Mufida stared at the message thinking of how easily they fooled her. He was angry day before yesterday and now he wants to go on a lunch with her ?

Something is definitely fishy.

Mufida inhaled a deep breath before texting her the location.

"I can't believe it."Ruhainah shook her in disappointment.

"Let's not get into conclusion, which hospital was he admitted?"Laiba enquired and Mufida rose a brow at her questionably wondering why she was asking her that.

"The hospital where I work."Mufida replied.

"Then call up the doctor who had a checkup on him and inquire about his health. That's the only way to know the truth."

Who knew Laiba could be this smart ?

"Have you been taken almond milk lately?"Ruhainah asked teasingly and Laiba shook her head. "Then how come you're getting smarter now?"

Laiba threw a pillow at her and hissed. "Foolish girl, ae zan rama. I'll avenge."

"I've Dr. folake's number, should I call him up?"

"Yes now, call him."

Mufida called him up and he picked up after the third ring. They exchanged pleasantries and she enquired about Haidar's medical reports and his reply had nothing like Memory lost or whatsoever that have to do with it.

"Ah lallai ma Haidar."Laiba mused shaking her head.

You lied to me, and used me. This time around I'll never forgive you for this Haidar. Never !

Mufida had informed Haidar of the time, she told him to meet her 2 o'clock dot she even added the 'No African time' warning for him. But she came to the restaurant 3 o'clock, that's his first punishment. She knew that he will surely wait for her to come, so she took advantage of that.

He had no idea who he is playing game with.

But he'll know it very soon.

Mufida ordered cold coffee as the weather was going to get heated very soon, she will need it to cool off. Haidar said water will be okay.

He is still acting like he lost his memory.

He should go somewhere else and act but not in front of the director. Lol....

"You finally recognized me?"Mufida asked her voice laced with sarcasm which didn't go unnoticed by Haidar.

Haidar didn't say anything neither did she expect an answer from him. "You could be rewarded as the world's biggest lier."she stated and laughed as if the matter wasn't serious.

"What do you mean?"Haidar questioned still with the act.

"Drop it already Haidar, I know the whole truth. I'm aware that you faked your memory lost just to get my attention, you wanted me to remind you of our past by spending time with you, that's what you wanted right?"Mufida rhetorically asked, with a small frown on her face.

"I had no other choice."Haidar stated guiltily.

"But this ?"Mufida questioned referring to him faking his memory lost. "There are so many ways to win a girl's heart Haidar, you mustn't lie for me to forgive you and love you."

"I'm..."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, when a person say it too much it tends to lose meaning."Mufida remarked. "Your so called I'm sorry is meaningless to me, Haidar meaningless."She emphasized. "It doesn't affect me anymore like it does before."

"When will you ever change Haidar, you should know that just saying sorry can't fix everything all the time. And because saying sorry is so easy for you, you think you'll just do what you think and then say sorry?"Mufida paused, took a sip of her cold coffee to do you know what.

Mufida shook her head at him with a faint smile. She has never felt this strong to talk back at Haidar.

"If you really love me, you wouldn't have lied to me about such a big thing. You would've tried your very best to convince me, but no, you like lying and getting away with it but not this time."Mufida shook her index finger at him.

"I can explain."

"Explain what exactly? Okay then, I'm listening explain."Mufida rolled her eyes and motioned for the waiter to come so she can make her payment and leave.

"I...."Haidar trailed off not knowing exactly how to start explaining himself. She is right, he shouldn't have lied to her.

"You can't explain, can you?"Mufida raised her brows at him and payed for her coffee. "Alhamdulillah. Just wish me good luck on my future."with that she left giving him no room to reply.

Finally, she felt at ease and she knows the right thing to do to get rid of him completely.
