Ponyboy comes in and sits next to me, "hey Brookie."

"Hey Ponyboy," I sigh.

"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.

"Everything!" I yell. "Dally is god knows where! Johnny could die! You didn't save me! I thought you loved me!"

"I do, I do love you Brooke," he grabs my hands.

I look at him, "do you? Would you save me or yourself."

"I'd save you," he smiles.

"Then what happened back there?" I ask blinking back tears.

Pony's P.O.V.

"Then what happened back there?" She asks tears filling her eyes, but she quickly covers it up.

flashback

"Johnny!" I yell as smoke fills my lungs. "Brooklyn! Brooklyn! Brookie?" I whimper a little at the end because, she's not replying. Nothing can happen to her! I love her. "Brooklyn! Brooklyn where are you?" I start scrambling to find the girl I love. I gasp for air as I try to find her with two thoughts on my mind: I don't care if I die, I need to find Brooklyn, and this is how Brooke must of felt when she was drowning.

"Ponyboy help me!" I hear her sweet voice voice scream filled with terror.

"Brooklyn!" I hear Johnny's voice yell in a panic. 

I continue to scramble to find her as I see Dally. He looks at me pulling me by the arm, "get out of here stupid!"

"No!" I yell. "I gotta find Brooklyn!"

"No stay," he yells as he climbs back in. "I'll find her."

I look in to try to find her, but pass out before I can find her or get back. The last thing I hear before the world goes black is a thud then Dally yell, "stupid girl!"

Flashback over

"I love you Brookie," I speak genuinely.

She sits up wincing in pain and hugs me tightly, "I love you too Pookie."

I take this chance to ask what I've wanted to, "Brooklyn Ann Jones, will you be my girl?"

She smiles slightly, "it would be my honer, but you can't get mad at my relationship with Johnny. Do you trust me?"

Do you trust me? Do I? I take a deep breathe, "yes, yes I do."

Brooke's P.O.V. 

"Do you trust me?" I ask and honestly I'm afraid of what he's gonna say. I don't think he trusts me.

He takes a deep breathe, "yes, yes I do."

I smile as I grab my his hand, "I love you Ponyboy."

"I love you too Brooklyn," he smiles making my heart flutter. I love this boy with all my heart.

I look over at him and smile, but I can see something behind the surface telling me to back out now before everybody gets hurt, but I don't I just stare into his eyes as he stares back perfectly in love, "they say we're too young to love, but maybe they're too old to remember."

He smiles at my quote, "you've always been a quote junkie. I swear you're the only person who writes down every quote they hear, see, or read."

"I've seen live die way to many times when it deserved to be alive," I quote once more. "Please don't let that happen to us."

He sits there thinking for a really long time about god knows what before responding, "fight for me and I promise you I'll do the same."

I smile when I see what he did, he recited a quote just for me, "I need you next to me Ponyboy."

"I need you next to me too Brooklyn," he replies smirking back to me.

"Don't ever forget that," I respond not being able to shake that feeling that something bad is going to happen.

"Brooke, you're scaring me," he informs me.

I gotta tell him! I gotta tell him about Johnny and I! Maybe then this feeling will be gone, "Johnny and I kissed the other day at the church."

He has a hurt look on his face, "what I don't get is why you do something like that when we have a thing going on-"

"I didn't cheat on you," I argue back. "We weren't dating."

He sighs loudly, "I know, but you knew we had something going on and you still kissed him!"

"I know, but I was upset and I didn't know what we were!" I argue back.

"I just said I could trust you, but now this," he fights back.

"You can trust me because, I told you about it! I didn't hide it from you," I remind him.

He takes a deep breathe, "you're right and we weren't dating. I can look past this for us."

I smile slightly hugging him the best I can, "when can I get out of here?"

"Oh yea!" He laughs. "I came up to tell you that Two-bit just signed you out."

"Thank god!" I yell standing up. "Three days in this place is when too long."

"You know we have a rumble tonight, right?" He asks.

"Sweet!" I yell. "I'm ready to punch some Soc face in!"

"Nuh-uh missy," he chuckles. "You're not fighting."

"Are you really gonna be one of those boyfriends?" I ask.

He looks at me shocked, "I was just kidding, you're one of the strongest greasers around."

"Thank you," I smirk as I walk away swaying my hips.

"Hey wait for me!" Pony yells chasing after me.

"I'd rather not," I joke.

I literally love them together so much! Although, does she still love Johnnycakes? What do you think about the whole situation? Do you think she should of kept it a secret?
