alexia's pack house above ... only more living trees

i looked at the pile in front of us

'i dunno blue' i said with a frown looking at the black lumps

'common lex your dad rocked it with the red eyes and the fangs and the coat besides no ones going to take us seriously with a coat like this'

 i looked down my back the mixtures of greens and blues and reds had a majority of the rouges laughing at us nipping out heels as they chased us away while others pitily threw me a meal but that was six months ago

but we were still a lone wolf

no pack to call our own

and an empty pack house with a leaky roof

by now we knew we were doing something wrong...

but the difference between now and then was that we had grown at least a good foot and a half but that was all i was now slightly bigger then your average wolf standing on the boundry of warrior and beta size

i looked back to the pile 'but it'll just wash off came the rain season'

'and we'll just replace it' she told me 'one day we can change the coal for some black hair dye but for now it's going to have to do'

'but how are we going to put it on?'

i shifted back wrapping the blanket around my shoulders to sheild myself from prying eyes don't get me wrong i've swiped many clothes but it just feels right to not wear anything

'we crush it to mush with your human hands' she shouted and i laughed grabbing a nearby rock i began my busy work of crushing coal

half an hour later

blue shook he black coat the dust flying every where leaving her a stormy charcoal black we looked at out reflection in one of the grimy mirrors

'i think we look good' blue said

and all i could do was stare in amazement i shifted back then shifted again amazed at how well is stayed on

'lex?'

"yeah" i mummbled "i think we look good for a runt" she laughed at that

'what do you think we need to do next?' she asked

"i don't know" i said looking around my new 'pack house'

most of the windows were smashed in and the floor was slightly rotten but in modderetly good condition

the house had been abandoned for quite some time ad large trees had strated creeping closer to the door leaving it with only a few scarce meters of lawn and backyard

and with the addition of a leaky roof it only left a few rooms in good enough living condition leaving us to spend most nights on a mouldy matress

but hey every packs gotta start from somewhere, right?

'mark our territtory?' blue suggested which at the moment with my current boredom sounded like a pretty good idea which left me asking

'how do we do that?'

'pee on... something, i guess?'

i scrunched up my face 'eeww gross no that sounds like something a male would do i think we should stick to rubbing up against some trees from now on'

'that works too' she beamed and i rolled my eyes my wolfs weird

i walked outside shifting quickly jumping at the black coat in front of me then laughed at my self for being so stupid

'how big should our territory be?' i asked blue

'big' she said 'but not too big' i sighed

'not helpful' i told her

'fine how about 500 meters?'

'sounds like a good starting point' i agreed "besides if we need more theres plenty of free territory to claim"

and that was how most of my day was spent

and at the end i felt pride riseing in my chest and i frowned what was this?

'we want to tell the world we're here i don't understand it either but it might just be instinct'

i sat down tilting my head back i filled my lungs with air and i howled but not a normal howl either this was deep and full of a strange authority

like the howl was saying i'm here

and i need a pack

and that was ecsacly what happened

'we should practice our alpha walk' blue said with a laugh as we walked past the hallway mirror

'what's wrong with the way i walk?'

'well some wolves could get the wrong idea want a pack so badly only to find a relaxed little girl, we wanna show em that we're no push overs'

'thank you blue my self esteem in rising' i frowned at my image knowing deep down that she was right i puffed out my chest she laughed

'you don't need to look manly lex just strong, walk tall and with purpose a first impression needs to be a good impression'

i sighed 'you're starting to sound like dad again'

'well you have to admit he was right on somethings, and isin't it like a pup to follow it's fathers footsteps?'

i didn't answer her instead standing taller and straigtening my back i walked sending shivers down my back my own strength shocking me

'i didn't know i could do that' i said

'what?' she asked

'scare myself' i chuckled and she chuckled to

yeah scared me as well, we should start wearing some clothes though i wuldn't want to scar any new pack memebers with your flabby butt

i frowned my butt wasn't flabby but yet again she was right and i was too tired to argue

i wadded to my room tripping over a loose plank i was quick to add clean house to the top of my to do list

first thing in the morning i was up and searching the house for where the old pack kept their stuff still buttoning up my pants i stepped outside

'should we check the boarders?' i asked

'it would be a good idea' blue said yawning as i quickly shifted into my now black wolf 'you know getting some sort of normality'

two hours later i was getting dressed yet again and heading over to a shed that caught my eye it was heavely pad locked but nothing i couldn't break

at least ... i think i could break

i stepped back saying a silent prayer to the moon godess that there would hopefully be atleast a broom in there i charged shoulder first at the door that gave a little too easily and i fell forwards a whirling noise registered in my ears as i fell to the ground feeling a large presure in my hip

'lets hope no one saw that' blue said dryly

i didn't move as we laughed silently with each other until pain hit my side and i froze the new sensation shocking me

but it wasn't just pain

it burnt into me like a hot iron brander and i screamed out more in sheer shock than amything else

i leapt back only to fall onto my back withering in pain i looked to my side to find a silver stake in my hip

"b-blue?" i trembled feeling weaker by the second "take control"

then i passed out

my eyes fluttered open only to be met with large golden ones on instinct a growl ripped through my chest and he leapt back as well as seven other people i found myself cornered and i couldn't stop the growling until blues voice broke through

'its okay lex we're safe they won't harm us'

i hadn't noticed that they had huddled in a corner away from me

i looked to them only to notice that they wern't huddeling but protecting three women

one women and two young girls no older then maybe eight and ten

i blinked looking around i noticed i was still in my pack house and i relaxed slightly at this and they seemed to do the same

i slowly pushed myself to my feet holding my hand to my burning side i winced

'it's going to scar real bad' blue commented to which i frowned

'why thank you blue i really needed that now didn't i?'
