"If you're broken, I will mend you and I'll keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now." –Lego House, Ed Sheeran

"Well it sounds as if you two had an eventful last month at school," a raven-haired young man stated, handing Audrey a glass as he sat down across from her and her husband.

Audrey took a sip out of the glass of water she had been handed by her husband's cousin. After an eventful graduation ceremony, she and Draco Malfoy had made their way back to the home of his cousin, Artemis. Audrey was hoping staying here was only temporary. With their first child on their way in roughly seven months, and all the new Death Eater drama that was brought to their attention, Audrey was hoping to find somewhere safe to raise the baby, somewhere far away from the troubles she and Draco had faced in recent times.

"You're telling me," she muttered back, sitting the glass down.

"It's a miracle we came out alive," Draco added, draping his arm over Audrey's shoulders. Audrey said nothing to this, but looked back to Artemis who sat across from them in a leather arm chair.

"I would have to agree with you in that regard," Artemis sighed. "By the sounds of it you will be much safer here than you were at that school of yours." He shook his head, causing some of his lengthy raven hair to fall into his face. He pushed his hair back before speaking again. "Not to be disrespectful to your school, but it seems to me that Hogwarts has some security issues it needs to work on; things like that have never occurred at Durmstrang."

Audrey vividly recalled the events that had transpired only hours previously. Death Eaters had broken into the school, interrupting the graduation ceremony. No one had been hurt, luckily, but at the same time the entire school had been sent into a state of panic. The chilling message that had been delivered to them still coursed through her mind. The Death Eaters were back, and out for blood. Having betrayed them in the past, Audrey was sure Draco would be a target in the upcoming revolution- if the Death Eaters who visited had told the truth.

"Well, when you share a learning environment with The Chosen One, unfortunately your days get interrupted with stupidity," Draco spat. It was obvious that there was still no love lost between him and Harry. Although Audrey had befriended Ginny, it was still next to impossible to get Draco and Harry in the same room without someone spewing insults.

"Well obviously I didn't attend school with him," Artemis replied. "But regardless of that, I would dare say that Hogwarts' security is lacking."

"I would say that as well," Audrey added her input. "Death Eaters shouldn't have been able to get in so easily, even if they hadn't harmed anyone."

"Which is exactly why I am glad to have the both of you back at home," Artemis answered. His blue eyes made a quick glance to Audrey's stomach. "And of course my second cousin as well. When are you exactly due, again?"

"Middle of May," Audrey guessed. She wasn't quite sure of the exact date, but considering the time she had conceived was around the middle of August, the girl could only assume that she was to give birth in May. That was if everything went according to plan.

Artemis nodded. "Well... I wish you both the best of luck with the baby. If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask. Will you remain here during the pregnancy, or will you be leaving?"

Audrey and Draco exchanged glances briefly before Draco answered his cousin. "We're not entirely sure," he admitted. "While we do want our own place eventually, right now I think living on our own might be... hazardous due to the Death Eater threat."

"Right, safety in numbers," Artemis mused. He paused for a moment. "The both of you are more than welcome to stay here until things have calmed down, as I'm sure you know."

By this point, Audrey's mind had started to wander. She honestly had no idea how staying here was much safer than leaving and going somewhere else. The girl had a hunch; if Pansy had anything to do with the Death Eaters, then they certainly would know that they were staying here. As much as she was glad to be here, Audrey was not at ease, and she doubted that would change much in the upcoming months. All she knew was that she was going to do anything in her power to keep her small family safe.

"Audrey," hearing her name shook her from her trance-like state.

"Hm?" she asked, not even entirely sure who had said her name.

"Are you going to come to dinner?" Draco asked.

The girl had forgotten all about dinner. They were going to be dining with Draco's parents, and Artemis' family. Audrey had no idea what they were going to be eating, but at this point she honestly didn't care anymore. Anything was bound to be better than what she had been eating at Hogwarts this past month. Although she was incredibly nervous about seeing Narcissa and Lucius for the first time since being back, which meant she was sure to be questioned about the pregnancy. After all, Draco had only merely mentioned it to them in a letter a few days ago.

"No, I'm going to skip it," she replied sarcastically.

"Knowing you, I wouldn't be surprised," Draco retorted, standing. He offered Audrey his hand, pulling her to her feet. Draco waited for Artemis to stand as well before making his way out of the lounge, pulling Audrey gently along with him.

The three young adults finally arrived in the dining room, where they found their respective families gathered around the table. The three of them took their seats, all eyeing the food in front of them with eager eyes. Draco's parents sat directly in front of Audrey, and she was anticipating the questioning that was sure to follow.

"Glad to see the both of you are alive and well," Lucius started the conversation, beginning to place food on his plate.

"Why wouldn't we be?" Draco replied, following suit. Audrey took this as her cue to do the same and began piling her plate with food; she was, after all, eating for two.

"We heard about the attack," Narcissa answered quietly. "We were worried about you."

Draco shrugged. "If you want to call it an attack. It was more of an interruption."

"Regardless, anytime those abysmal Death Eaters are involved, I worry for your safety," Narcissa went on, proving to be the caring mother Audrey always knew her as. "Especially now that I know my first grandchild is at risk as well." She smiled slightly before looking at Audrey. "How are you feeling love?"

Audrey shrugged, taking a bite out of her food. "Better than I was," she admitted. "I'm not getting sick as often as I used to, and I'm not as tired either. Still getting used to the idea of being a mother though."

Narcissa and Artemis' mother, Angeline, both smiled reassuringly. "Motherhood is nothing to be afraid of, darling," Narcissa promised. "It's truly a beautiful thing."

"And if you ever get lost along the way, you always have us to ask for advice," Angeline added. "Not to mention your own mother."

Audrey's eyes widened for a moment. There was one person who she had forgotten to write a letter to, and that was her mother, Fianna. Although their relationship had not been the best in the past, Audrey was hoping that things could change. Surely she couldn't not tell her own mother about her pregnancy? As the conversation continued around her, Audrey made the mental note to write her mother as soon as dinner was done. It was all too obvious that they needed to have a discussion about the safety of where she was staying, and of course the baby.
