Chapter 44 : Beach

*** Flashback Continues in Randhir's POV ***

After the mini date I and Sanyukta had I thought things would go smooth and soon I would be able to confess her my feelings that I had realised since a long time now. But it seems that isn't possible cause nowadays she seems to be alot aloof... lost in her own thoughts thinking about something so deeply like she could write a thesis on it.

I have tried asking but she would just change the topic so smoothly that one would doubt that did I even ask something or not. I even tried asking Vidushi if she has answer to it at first she paniced but then dismissed the topic by giving vague answers.

Lost in my thoughts I was sitting all alone on the beach. Thinking what problem she might be having that she isn't sharing it with anyone. Its been 15 days now to last time I was alone with her though I have met her after that but she isn't that happy girl anymore. She looks more pale and mostly occupied with her thoughts. Talking less. Spending time alone or basically not with Parth, Vidushi and me seems her routine to be for her from a week or so.

I sighed and got up to leave the beach. As I was about to leave I felt like I saw her at the far end. Making my way towards that place and here goes my assumption right. There she was her legs curled up near her chest and looking endlessly towards the horizon. I took my time to admire her. Her hair flowing with the wind making her look more beautiful even if it was possible. The sun rays made her look more radiant. She is the most beautiful girl who doesn't have to make even a bit of effort to look this great.

Slowly I made my way towards her and sat beside her. She was so occupied that she didn't even seem to notice my presence.

I cleared my throat and said

R : What is so beautiful about the horizon??

Sanyukta was shocked to see me there which was quite expected as I could feel her avoiding me since few days.

S : Oh! You... Hey.. you scared me. No nothing that beautiful.. I was just thinking something.

R : Hmm.. about???

S : No... nothing.

R : Okay! You know that you can tell me anything if you wish to do. Right??

S (smiles) : Yes.. Randhir I know.

We both sat in complete silence when she finally spoke to me.

S : What would you do if someone proposes you but you don't feel anything that sort for the person but you can't just say no to the person maybe cause they mean you a lot or they would be too weak to handle the denial??

I looked at her and gave her a quizzical expression... where was she even going with this?? Is it that she loves someone but the person doesn't love her back. I don't think this is possible who wouldn't like her?? I have seen boys drooling over her in college. And why is she asking my opinion. Is it that she likes me and thinks that I don't love her back also I can't say her a no. Is it??

Stupid Assumptions. That's what you are making now.. she just asked you a general question nothing else.

My mind mocked me.

Getting no response from me Sanyukta shaked her haid and said "Uhhh.. sorry for such a question I was thinking something to say and my mind just came up with this. No offence for not answering. Just consider me drunk when I was asking you that question."

Randhir (chuckles) : Seriously Sanyukta drunk?? And I was thinking about why you popped out with such a question suddenly. And to answer your question well... love just happens. It happens to all the people all the time somewhere or the other part of the world. And if someone loves you but you don't love them back you can just clarify them you don't have the same things for them politely.

S : Hmmm.. but what if the person says he is okay with it and his love is enough and after sometime he is sure that you would also fall for them.

R : Umm.. then you can give them a chance to keep there heart.

S : But isn't it that you are giving them false hopes about something which would never happen cause at some point you know that love the other one has won't be enough and you won't be loving the person back either.

R : Well what is the harm in trying and who knows maybe in future you are madly in love with them.

S : Okay.

R : And when you have already told that you don't love them so you can back out and they can't stop you.

S : Maybe you are right. I don't know though.

R : Hmm.. now stop all this philosophical talks and lets go in water.

S : What?? Noooo..

R : Come on Sanyukta!!

Randhir literally dragged her in the water and dunk her head down. Then he started laughing at Sanyukta seeing her face. Sanyukta took this as an opportunity and dunk him totally in water and ran from there.

S (laughing) : Now laugh Shekhawat... how does it feels when your trick backfires on you.

R : You are so gone Agarwal after I catch you.

Soon they started there Tom and Jerry chase.. running around the beach and laughing at each other. Soon Randhir caught Sanyukta by her waist and lifted her up in the air and revolved her around before bringing her down and making her face him.

R : Now you have to pay for drowning me there in the water Miss Agarwal.

Randhir took a step ahead and Sanyukta took a step behind but she slipped and before Randhir could catch and balance them both he too slipped on her. This resulted in a eye lock between them for few minutes.

Sanyukta broke it first and looked here and there. Randhir realising there position stood up and helped her to stand. After few minutes they both started laughing thinking what they were doing.

R : Are you okay??

S : Yes.. you??

R : Yup. Now I am hungry. Let's go and eat something.

S : Sure.

After having a hearty meal both of them bid goodbyes and walked towards there home witha smile as they reminisce the day.
