Chapter 29 : Mission Sanyukta

*** Flashback Continues In Randhir's POV ***

Vidushi went on the podium to address the crowd and what she said next left me stunned that we are going to paired up with random people. Well being with any girl wasn't a problem but even Sanyukta with some other guy... the thought didn't seem to settle up well with me. When I saw to my right Parth was grinning which meant this stupid idea might be given by him only. As I processed all this data and was about to say something to Parth... I heard Sanyukta's name being called and she stopped for some time I really wanted to know who was she being paired up with and when Vidushi called my name I sighed in relief and did a happy dance in my mind.

I walked upto the stage and stood next to her but didn't give her a satisfaction of being noticed by me but to my bad luck even she wasn't looking at me which hurt me.

When Vidushi was done she left without me towards her and they seemed to have some kind of argument which was clearly on me being her partner so I walked towards Parth.

Randhir : Why did you do that??

Parth : Do what??

R : Don't act.. this whole idea of cupid playing and all of Vidushi. I am sure you gave it to her.

P (grins) : Yeah... but no offence it was much before I asked you to come and she was bugging me on what to do and not to do and I nonchalantly said this and she really liked it so you see I ain't at fault.

R : Uhh.. but look now Sanyukta is my partner.

P (rolling his eyes) : Oh come on as if you didn't have a happy dance in your mind when you got to know that.

R (looking away) : I didn't.

Parth gave him I-know-it-all-dont-fool-me look.

R : Okay fine I was happy cause I felt like hitting every guy here who was drooling at her but look there she is sad and I know it is because of me as you know how I walked out of her that time as I wasn't able to handle those teasings and my feelings that time.

P (sighs) : First of all thank God I don't fall in that hit list of yours. Secondly it's her birthday today obviously she wouldn't have imagined it this way with a guy who is too rude and has a nut sized brain (hearing this Randhir glares Parth and Parth chuckles). Thirdly it's your time now go and make things correct apologise to her and please don't bring that ego of yours in between that time cause we all know she was hurt when you walked away as you were a close friend of hers.

R : What!!! It's her birthday today?? Damn.. now I have to make things right.. at least I could make her happy by this and if then she doesn't forgive me I will understand but I would surely try.

P : Don't worry she will forgive you. She has a golden heart.

R : Thank you buddy for giving me hope. I love you a lot! (Hugs him)

P : Uhh.. dude I am straight and committed.

Randhir (frowning) : Even I am straight. Huh.

Parth chuckles and hugs him back.

P : Let's go to them and hopefully you would succeed in your mission of getting your friend back.

R : Hopefully yes. I would succeed in Mission Sanyukta and be friends with her again.

With this they both walk to their respective ladies who were standing together and talking.
