Chapter 24 : The First Fall

*** Flashback Continues In Randhir's POV ***

After 4 years I saw her from so close and when she said "Name Please!!" It nearly broke my heart that she doesn't even recognises me and I stared at her in disbelief and that's when she looked up and to my relief she did recognise me. Then she asked me if stag or couple to which I replied as a "Stag" though all my friends are going as a couple but me its single. After that we four were talking to them.. well basically only Yoyo and Sahil were doing the talking.

They asked them if they are going as couple or stag.. well I wasn't interested in Vidushi's answer because I knew she would be going with Parth but I was waiting for Sanyukta's answer and when Vidushi told that she was asked by four people and I was flabbergasted... I mean I know she is "Beauty With Brains" but four "Hot Shot" dudes as per Vidushi's description asking her didn't go well in my system and I was more anxious to know her answer and I just hoped it was a big NO and to my relief it was. I don't know but her no did make me happy!!

That's when someone called her and she had to go and Parth came in.. the only reason for whom I am going to that stupid prom.

He had been nagging to join this prom since when. Though it felt good to come here as I could see my girl... wait MY GIRL??? where the hell did that come from. Whatever it is... well because Parth wants to hook me up with some girl after I had broke up with my first girlfriend. Though he knows I did it on purpose but no.. he just can't see me single. After few talks we bid them a goodbye and were walking to the exit and Sanyukta was walking towards us but she was facing back talking to someone and I knew if she kept walking like this she would definitely fall and no doubt the next moment she proves me right as her leg got stuck somewhere and was about to fall but next moment she was in my arms.

It had just happened in a reflex and it felt so right to hold her like she belonged there and I only I was meant to hold her in this and every other manner. Her eyes still spoke those volumes that it did years back. Those hazel orbs in which one could easily get lost and that beautiful face which I can keep looking at for hours.

I was just lost in her when I heard the clearing of throat and she was struggling to get out of my hold at the thought of which I frowned but yet I made her stand and let her go out of my hold painfully.

When I turned I saw Parth giving me a knowing smirk and Vidushi fidgeting with her mobile and having a sly smile. I completely ignored them and walked out of the campus with my friends but away from her.
