Chapter 4: We Can Make Our Own Later or This Better Not Be a Porno

"Fate has a sneaky way of creeping up on you without you even noticing. It can take your hand and kindly walk you across the street, or just push you in front of traffic hoping you avoid the cars.-(ME)"

December’s Pov.

The next day I woke up expecting to get at least a little bit of normal back into my life, and that goal was accomplished. I woke up did my daily hygiene routine and skipped downstairs for some breakfast. The house was silent, letting me know that my parents were still away. I was use to the silence; the lonely, though.

I reached on my tip-toes and pulled down a box of Honey Nut Cheerios from the cabinet. I poured a bowl of cereal and thought about what I should do next. Hunter was right, my life was boring and I needed to brighten it a bit. I usually would people watch while sitting on my ledge and read a book, but today I was going to do something different.

I took the bowl of cereal from the smooth marble table it was sat on in the kitchen and carried it to the living room. I turned on a bit of mindless television instead. For about an hour I was caught up in an episode of Law and Order: SVU, when the door knocked.

I sat my cereal on top of the coffee table and kept my eyes locked on the TV while I answered the door. I asked “Yeah?” Not even bothering to look at the person.

“December?” Ana’s voice questioned. I pulled her in by her arm, kicked the door closed, and jumped back onto the couch.

“Hey Ana” I finally replied after the show went on commercial break. She looked at me with her eyebrows raised in confusion.

“What’s with you? You’re not reading your book? You’re actually watching TV!” Then a smile curled onto her face. “Hunter must have really had an effect from just one night.”

“No!” I denied. “He just stated some points that I can’t disagree with. A little bit of mindless TV never hurt anyone and it’s actually pretty entertaining.” She looked at me with a smile, happy that I was doing something at least a little bit different.

“So I hope I wasn’t too sleep-weird with Tristan and Hunter yesterday?” Ana asked because she knew something was different. I’m pretty sure she noticed the knot on her head from running into her door.

“Nothing really” I giggled at my—and I guess Hunter’s, inside joke about the picture that we took of them in the car. I turned my head watching the show again.

After several episodes of the crime drama later we were officially bored out of our minds.

“How about you call that bad boy-boyfriend over?” Ana suggested while she was hanging upside down from the couch, her dark brown hair dragging across the floor.

“For one, he’s not my boyfriend! And for two I’m sure Hunter’s busy doing something stup—”.

“I heard my name?” Hunter asked popping up out of nowhere. I screamed and fell off the couch hitting my head face first on the ground.

I just laid there and groaned in pain for about 5 seconds till I felt male hands grab at my waist hoisting me up and laying me back on the couch.

“Hunter, what are you doing here? How did you get into my house?” I asked rubbing my sore nose. He was now standing behind the couch he sat me in.

“I walked in the front door, it was unlocked. And I’m here because you two were just talking about me, obviously you wanted me here.” He beamed a smiled at me and whispered in my ear, “Too bad I made you scream from being scared. I can make you scream other wa—” I cut him off before he could finish the sentence. I didn’t even want to go there with him, not today, not ever.

Hunter walked back around to the front of the couch I was sitting in and lifted my legs. He sat down then replaced my legs on top of him.

“Aww look at you two,” Ana cooed with a small smile. I glared at her the most vicious glare I could muster at this moment.

“Well you seemed to warm up to me pretty fast. The other day it seemed as if you’d shit your pants if I looked at you.” Hunter questioned Ana with a smirk. He started to massage up my leg and before he got too close to somewhere I didn’t want him, I smacked his hand away.

“The way I see it is if December trusts you then I do too. I don’t why she does seeing as her Uncle seems to hate you—” Ana replied.

“Ana!” I hissed; she didn’t need Hunter to know all the details. The first sentence would have been enough.

“Oh, so our little May is going through her rebellious stage? Aren’t you a little late?” He asked with a bright smile on his stupid little handsome face.

I grabbed a pillow from the couch and tried to smother myself to get away from these people. Hunter merely chuckled at me.

Ana luckily(I wish I was her) had somewhere to be with her parents, to be honest they’re kind of weird they want to spend as much time with her as possible since she’s going to college next year. That’s not the weird part, the weird part is that she has five other siblings, so it’s not like they’re going to have empty nest syndrome. Or maybe I was just bitter because my parents were always gone.

So now I was stuck with Hunter, who once Ana left has been giving me a seductive stare as if he was going to eat me right now.

“So the ‘rents are gone, how about some fun, Cember.” I didn’t like his tone, it was too seductive, and again my virgin bones had a response to it. I shivered and backed away from him glaring.

“I’m not going to sleep with you Hunter.” I stated firmly, he was going to get that through his head.

He just beamed me a childlike smile, “You’ll give in sooner or later.”

I was going to reply but then I heard the door being pushed open. I had forgotten all about my Uncle! I turned my head back towards the couch that Hunter was sitting on to find him gone. Not even trace saying that he was here. But where could he have gone that fast? How come I didn’t hear him?

While I was stuck in my thoughts on Hunter, a place where my brain went often lately, my Uncle walked in with a hard look on his face.

“Someone was here.” It was a statement and he left no room for debate.

“Yeah, Ana was.” I stated simply settling deeper into the cushions, I hoped wherever Hunter was that he would remain quiet for once.

“Are you sure?” When have I ever lied to him? And why did it matter?

“Yeah?” I asked unsure why he was asking again.

Then he did a weird 180 flip on me and talked as if we didn’t just have a tense moment, “So the homecoming dance is coming up and I will be patrolling outside it. Are you going this year?” I’m sure it was just because he wanted to check up on me. I’ve been noticing that more and more lately. He wasn’t even looking at me, but glancing around the room hoping to find something. I knew what I was hoping he didn’t find, but what was he looking to find?

“I’m not sure. I guess since it’s my senior year, I will, and Ana wants me to go.”

“Mm,” Was his answer and then he finally just turned and walked out of the door. I let out the breath I didn’t know I was holding and Hunter popped out of my kitchen holding a sandwich and cup of juice in his hand.

“Well you two have the most uncomfortable conversations for family members,” Hunter laughed, mouth full of food sitting his cup on the table and lying on the same couch as me, his feet tucked under my body.

“Oh and December” My Uncle popped his head through the door and Hunter was crunched his head in so he wouldn’t be able to see him over the couch.

“Yeah,” I asked a little uncomfortable because Hunter had his hand gripped on my upper thigh trying to keep himself bent low enough that his head couldn’t be seen.

“Make sure you keep this door locked next time. I walked straight in; you never know what bad kids are lurking.” He replied and Hunter gripped a little harder making me jump a bit. Surprisingly my uncle didn’t notice.

He shut twisted the lock and shut the door behind him, and almost instantaneously I slapped Hunter’s hand away. He glared and me holding his hand as if I really hurt him.

Hunter stayed with me watching the SVU marathon and making comments throughout for a couple hours. But how he left was the oddest.

He peeked through the curtains, with a serious look on his face, one that I wasn’t use to. He looked down at his I-Phone with his eyebrows crunched together.

“Hunter?” I called out in a small voice, I wasn’t even sure if he heard me. But he did because his head snapped up and he gave me a smile.

“I have to go December. Remember what your Uncle said, keep the door locked and don’t open for anyone you don’t know. I’ll see you later.” That was very strange.

Those were his parting words and I didn’t see him for the rest of the weekend. I saw him at school and he messed with me there slightly but he never showed up at my house for that week.

“We’re going to the movies today June.” We were on our morning walk to school and he was holding my book bag while I walked in front of him with an annoyed frown but amused eyes. I squinted in the distance and saw a familiar car approaching. I pushed Hunter into the nearest bushes as fast as I could and he didn’t see it coming so it threw him off balance. All I heard from his was “Ow, fuck.”

The car slowed down in front of me and I walked up to it. “Hey mom, hey dad” I greeted them with a smile.

“Sweetie, we thought you’d be at home still.” My mom said with a small smile. My Father beamed at me from the passenger’s seat.

“No, I like to get to school early with Ana.”

“Who was the young boy you were walking with? Is he your boyfriend?” My mom giggled like a young teenage girl.

“No I wasn—” Then Hunter decided to grace himself with his presence. He got up dusting the leaves off his clothes and reaching out a hand to shake my parent’s.

“I’m Hunter.” He flashed them the ‘I’m a good kid’ smile, them unknowing that he’s nothing but.

“Oh honey, our daughter has finally made a friend that’s the opposite sex!” My mom screeched excitedly and I buried my head into my hand out of embarrassment.

“Bye Mom, bye Dad” I rushed and grabbed Hunter’s wrist and tugged him in the direction of school. He waved goodbye to my parents and they beamed happy smiles at him before driving him off.

“So I’m going to be your first everything huh, November?” Hunter smirked, winking at me.

I just pushed him rolling my eyes, too embarrassed to even say anything else, other than “No.”

At school Hunter would most likely leave me alone in the public eye but today for some reason he didn’t  even show up to lunch at all. Tristan sat alone in their normal seats sleeping on the bench. I braved it and led Ana over there.

He opened one eye and raised an eyebrow at the same time, but didn’t say anything. Ana and I continued our conversation as if it was any normal day. I knew she had comments and concerns on sitting there, but she was too nice to say anything while Tristan was around.

Hunter didn’t show up to walk me home either. To be honest I was a little disappointed, I was getting use to his daily intrusions in my life. It’s been almost a month since he started to bother me.

I walked upstairs straight to my room, not before saying a couple words to my parents. I found a note lying on my bed and my window open.

‘We’re still going to the movies. Come to my house at 9, April. - Hunter’

I rolled my eyes tossing the note into the drawer and deciding that I was going to go as is.

I walked downstairs to talk to my parents about Hunter. I made eye contact with my mom first and she gushed over how handsome Hunter was.

“Mom, chill out please. Okay I need you to do me a huge favor. Don’t say anything about Hunter to Uncle Rob. I—he—it’s just nothing serious that he needs to know. A girl needs some type of privacy.” I stressed each word, they needed to know.

“Okay December, not until you’re more serious with this boy.” My dad said with his laugh lines showing.

“Okay, fine.” It wasn’t going to happen, but I’d let them think that. I talked to my parents about their trip for a bit before reading a couple of chapters before the time arrived.

I walked down the stairs hoping to slip out but I wasn’t that lucky. “Where are you going December?” My dad asked while in the kitchen with my mom eating oranges.

“I’m going out to the movies with friends,” hoping that was all that was needed to be said.

“Okay be home soon.” He waved, and with a salute I was off. I pulled my jacket closer to my body, heading down a couple blocks to Hunter’s house. I didn’t like walking places by myself; it was a little too eerie.

I hurried my steps a little quicker. Even though we lived in a nice neighborhood, creeps lurk in any neighborhood. And mine wasn’t any different. When I finally made it to Hunter’s house, he was already on his bike ready to go. I looked towards his house and I could see lots of different lights on. His helmet was already on and he was wearing all black, quite the different outfit than he wore this morning. Earlier he was wearing a black leather jacket over a red shirt, khaki’s, and a pair of red and black Nikes. I wont lie, I knew what the other girls saw in him. His dark brown hair, hazel eyes, his bad-boy vibe, his cheerful disposition, his seduction, he was definitely attractive. But he was also annoying, I wasn't the type of girl to want this, I didn't need it.

I hopped on the back of the bike quickly sliding the helmet onto my head and holding on for dear life. I felt Hunter’s chuckle, but I was too busy trying to live. He sped off into the night of Los Angeles heading towards the nearest theater.

Again the nightlife seemed to entrance me although I lived there my whole life. The movie theater was packed as usual for a Friday night. Hunter parked and we walked across the busy street to the movie theater. I went to use the restroom while Hunter bought the tickets, no matter how much I begged him to let me pay. I pushed my way back to him to see a girl breathing down his neck. I laughed at how uncomfortable he looked surprisingly. When he made eye contact with me he smiled mischievously.

“There she is! Babe I’ve been looking all over for you.” He hugged me tightly squeezing a little rougher as if to make up for leaving him there with her, while I got my few chuckles in. The girl slipped away when he hugged me and I pushed him off.

“Let’s just watch the movie, Hunter.” He beamed at me and we walked through giving the checker guy our tickets. I still didn’t know what movie we were watching.

We settled into the back and I bought us popcorn to eat. I was popping a few coronels in my mouth glancing over to Hunter who had a small smirk on his face, and I didn’t like that look.

“Hunter this better not be a porno,” I whispered harshly, not wanting to see anything like that.

“Nah, we can make our own later.” He replied with a wink, and then finished “This is much different, the opposite even.”

About ten minutes into the movie I could tell what kind of movie it was. I watched as this guy stepped to this girl almost silently and slit her throat. It was gory to say the very least. I cringed at every part so far.

“So how you liking the movie so far, March?”

I gave him a flat look “I don’t like horror movies Hunter, you know that. Why did I let you drag me to this?” I sighed looking up at the ceiling in the crammed movie theater. When I heard the girl scream I screamed which made Hunter laugh his butt off. I just glared at him.

“Glad to see that I amuse you. I’m going home.” I got up to leave but was pulled and into Hunter’s lap.

“Aww, I was just joking with you, October. Now let’s finish off the movie. Or I can make you scream at your house. The choice is yours.” He shrugged.

“My parents are home,” I replied like a dumbass, I led myself into the next comment.

“So if they weren’t—” he implied.

“No! I’m not gonna sleep with you.” I replied glaring at him.

“Okay, fine not yet. So let’s finish the movie.” He pouted like a five year old not getting their way.

When we finished the movie, it was about 11:00 at night and I was spooked by every sound and Hunter was sweet enough to soak up this moment by scaring me. He would walk behind me quietly and even though I knew he was there he was taller so he’d tap my shoulder and scare me. He was calm throughout the whole movie, I barely heard a peep out of him other than laughter. Kind of sadistic if you ask me, but I don't know.

I screeched and jumped about sixty times before arriving home.  He drove to his house and decided to walk me home, just in case my Uncle showed up randomly, like he has been doing lately. He walked me to the sidewalk by house.

He leaned in and I rolled my eyes shoving my hand to his lips, “Bye Hunter.”

He beamed at me, “Bye, July.” I really wanted to ask him if he was going to show up unannounced but if he would then he would, I didn’t need to be worried about it.

I noticed before I got all the way up to my door that he was glaring down at his Iphone again and no matter how much my curiosity got the best of me, it wasn’t my business. Something in my gut told me it wasn't good though.

Look at him, look at me, that boy is bad, and honestly. He's a wolf, in disguise but I cant stop staring at those evil eyes. He licked his lips said to me "Girl you look good enough to eat." Put his arms around me said “Boy now get your paws right off me.-Artist:Lady Gaga,Song:Monster

Things will get interesting about Hunter next chapter I think. Stick with me the first couple of chapters are always kind of boring and more informational. COMMENT AND VOTE!
