Chapter 1: Disagreement
-Astrid-
You know how every couple fight?
The fights are usually about silly things like 'did you remember to milk the yak?' or 'did you clean our axes?'.
Well, Hiccup and I fought today. Big time.
Let me tell you about it...
Hiccup has been quite busy the past few weeks, and of course, I felt kind of ignored.
In the start, I didn't really care, mainly because I know that since he's the leader of the Dragon Riders and all, he has a lot to do, but it usually doesn't take up that much time.
Every time Hiccup passed me, he would say 'Hi', give me a kiss on the cheek, and then run off.
So I decided to confront him about it, because to be honest, I've had enough of just sitting around watching him ignore me.
It was late in the day.
The sun was going down, and the sky was a mix between a soft pink and yellow, and of course, it was beautiful as the sun slowly but surely went down under the waves.
But I didn't really care about that at the moment.
I stomped on the wood planks that held the edge up, and it shook like small earthquake every time I took a step.
Hiccup was in the club house.
How did I know?
A black dragon wagging its long tail isn't hard to spot in the light of day.
As I arrived at the front entrance of the club house, I tried to calm down a few notches.
Toothless was napping peacefully outside the clubhouse, with his tail hanging over the edge of the wooden planks.
Around the fire in the middle of the room, stood Hiccup and Fishlegs bent over a piece of paper that I couldn't really see.
In the corner of the club house sat Snotlout with a knife and plucked out the muck from under his fingernails.
Tuffnut was asleep with Chicken in his lap right beside Snotlout.
Ruffnut was nowhere to be found.
"Hello" I said as calm as I could as I was leaning against the doorframe.
Hiccup and Fishlegs jumped backwards a few centimeters, while Snotlout managed to cut his finger a tiny bit.
Tuffnut and Chicken were still asleep.
"Astrid!" Hiccup said as he and Fishlegs scrambled back to the fire and their piece of paper.
"What are you doing here?" Hiccup asked.
"I came to see what you were doing here, because it looks like you guys are excluding Ruffnut and I." I told him.
"Oh...we're really not doing anything, just some guy time that's all!" Hiccup said with a nervous tone as he looked over at Fishlegs for help.
Fishlegs nodded frantically.
"YES, YES, just some guy time! That's all" Fishlegs said, even more nervously than Hiccup.
I cocked my eyebrow.
"I don't believe it ONE SECOND" I informed them. "Now tell me why you've been ignoring me, Hiccup"
Hiccup furrowed his brows.
"I haven't ignored you?" Hiccup said, sounding a bit confused.
I was fuming.
I walked closer to him.
"The only thing you've said to me in a couple of weeks is 'Hi"
"Astrid, that's not true!"
"Oh yes of course! I forgot the kiss on the cheek!" I said sarcastically.
"Astrid, why are you acting like this?"
That comment made me even angrier.
"BECAUSE YOU ARE IGNORING ME! I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE TIME WHEN YOU WANTED NOTHING BUT TO BE WITH ME!" I yelled, which made Tuffnut and Chicken jump so high they almost met the roof.
"I'M NOT IGNORING YOU!" Hiccup exclaimed.
"WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME?!"
"BECAUSE YOU ARE ACCUSING ME OF IGNORING YOU, WHICH I AM NOT!" Hiccup yelled back.
"I'm done, I DO NOT want to talk to you, leave me alone" I hissed at him as I left the club house and started marching furiously back to my hut.
I clenched my fists and jaw, I wanted to hit something so bad.
I stopped by a small amount of rocks.
I raised my fist and put all of my strength into the punch.
My fist met the rock, and it broke right in two, but only seconds later, I felt a sharp pain rising up my arm, fast.
"OH MY THOR, WHY DID I DO THAT?!" I asked myself.
I took a deep breath and tried to focus on other things.
"If it still hurts tomorrow, I'm going to pay Gothi a visit" I said to myself.
I continued cussing under my breath the rest of the way home.
And let me tell you something, that night wasn't a comfortable one.
