Lucy's P.O.V

Yuka's words, I didn't forget them. How could I? I know she must have been joking about the marriage thing but bringing up Kou, I know she wasn't. "Lucy-chan, I am going to go and get some supplies. I will be right back." I nodded at Minori's words. I sat down. Who knew that I would get a possible marriage proposal today? I sipped a cup of my tea. 

I finished the work that we would need for today. "Sounds like a date." Yeah right, Yuka always seemed to believe that I would have a boyfriend by now. A boyfriend...I didn't need one to make me happy. Focusing on myself made me happy. 

I took out one of my notebooks. Maybe studying can distract me. The door slid open.

"Did you forget something Minori-san?"

"Lucy-chan" I froze at the sound of the voice. "How are you?"

Kou's P.O.V

Something hard hit me in the face. Once it hit the ground I saw that it was a notebook. I looked at her to feel a sharp pain in my heart. She had a frown on her lips and in her eyes were forming tears. She looked hurt. "Lucy-chan" She looked away from me and stood up. 

"Mukami-san, do you have something you would like to say?" She was speaking formally. Her voice wasn't warm like it used to be. 

"Lucy-chan, I'm sorry"

"It's fine. I don't care anymore." She went to the bookshelf and began to move around some books.

"You haven't spoken to me in so long."

"When someone breaks your heart, it's normal not to speak to them."

"Luc-"

"Heartfilia-san, we don't have a friendship." My heart shattered. 

"Lucy- Heartfilia-san, I really mean it." 

"I know you do. I just don't think we should be around each other anymore." She kept her back towards me. 

Lucy's P.O.V

It is taking everything in me to not drop a single tear. I had to manage my breathing. "If you have nothing else to say, then I suggest you leave Mukami-san." Go.

"I can't" Why won't you go?

"Mukami-san" Go "Can you go-" I felt him wrap me in his arms. The warmness from him, I missed it. His head pressed on my back. 

"This time I promise not to leave you." I gave a shaky sigh and dropped my head. 

"Why? Why can't you just give up?" I was choking on my own words. "Why...can't you leave me alone. I didn't ask for you to like me." Oh no, I was about to cry. I covered my face with my hands. "Kou-kun, I didn't ask to feel anything for you. The moment I began to like you back, is the moment your feelings change? What sense does that make?" 

"It doesn't"

Kou's P.O.V

I was a complete jerk. She was crying because I tried to make her forget about me. Doing that made everything worse. I wasn't helping her. I wasn't stepping up and telling her that I shouldn't have feelings for her. Instead, I ignored her and the moment she spoke to me, I hurt her. I had to tell her the truth. Doing that will might calm her down. "Lucy-chan, I love you."
