Chapter 3: RG center
Chapter 3
I ran to the plaza as quick as I could. People were running, pushing each other. Scrambling their way to the nearest exit. I couldn't look straight nothing was clear. Everything was so fast making me freeze. A woman fell at my feet and looked up and started screaming louder.
'It's you! Please don't kill us.' She begged, I noticed she was holding a infant child close to her chest.
'The exit's that way.' I led her through the main gate just as I turned around to go back to the violent scene, she was shot through her stomach. I ran up to her and noticed that she and her child were dead. The bullet had penetrated through her body, into the 4 year old. I could feel tears threatening to fall down as I tried to hold my breath, begging for these tears to stay at bay.
Pushing myself off the lady's corpse I submerged myself back into my new found mission, make this so-called 'Gang' pay. The plaza was nearly empty, any other remaining citizen was scrambling away from the scene. I didn't. Walking towards the center, I felt as though someone was watching me.
BANG.
Blazing hot air passed by me as I was pushed away from an explosion. It was almost as if time had slowed down. But as soon as my head collided with the floor, I knew I was a goner.

'Wake up. I don't have all day.' A dark threatening voice spoke.
Seeing a gun pointed at your head when you wake up does come up as a shock but what scared me the most was the man holding it. He was literally two sizes bigger than me. I then proceeded to look around me. I was in a grey room. Everything was bland the only furniture consisting of a few chairs.
'Am I in a prison?'
'Yes' He replied.
I look up. 'What are we doing here?'
He just looked at me and sighed. 'I don't plan on staying here a long time. I just need you to answer some questions.'
A girl barged through the large doors. 'I can take it form here Spade.'
So the man holding a gun to my face was Spade? Spade left with a grunt as the girl took a chair from the back and sat down right in front of me making the same noise nails on a chalk board would.
'My name's Mad. Look I am not going to kill you but if you try something I am just informing you that I have a loaded gun.' Her brown-almost black eyes stared at me. Daring me to challenge her. Seeing as I had not done anything wrong-yet, she started her interrogation.
'Why were you roaming around the plaza?'
'I wanted to hurt whoever had hurt the people there.' I answered as honestly as I could.
'Good, do you know anything about the RG center?'
'No.' Was I in the RG center?
Mad stood up abruptly, 'Lie!' she brought her gun out, 'What do you know?'
'No...othing' I stuttered. I was so scared I didn't even notice another man entering the room.
'Mad let Ria go.'
The man approached me, it was Keith! I had never felt so relieved.
'What are you doing here?' I asked.
'The better question would be what are you doing here?' He said as pushed me out that cold, wet room. He started walking really fast and I had jog up to him to catch up.
'Hey, could you slow down?' I wheezed out. Keith just stopped and I almost ran into him.
'Ria, you are not safe here you need to leave. Wait till Evan realizes you're here...'
I cut him off. 'Evan's here?' At that we arrived in a old wooden office.
Evan was behind an antique looking desk. He was the most breathtaking man I had ever seen. What? I can admit when a guy's good looking. It doesn't mean I am into him. Right?
'Ria you're case number 12?'
Before I could answer Keith cut me off. 'Yes she was the one saved by Spade at the shooting.'
'You need to leave.' Evan said strictly.
'I have nowhere else to go I can't remember anything that happened in my life before you had found me and the city can't help me. There are thousands of people on the streets. I am just one of them.' I ranted out.
Keith asked Evan wearily, 'Evan do you...'
Out of nowhere Evan ragged, 'She looks just like her!' Fuming, he looked at me with deep longing and sadness. Breaking a glass he happened to be holding in his hand. The room was dead silent for a few minutes until Evan finally spoke up,
'Ria you may stay here,' he turned to Keith, 'Make her useful we are not a charity.'
With no other words he pushed past me and left Keith and I alone in this awkward tension.
'Well, welcome Ria. We are the R.G (rebel gang) center and you are now part of it.'
