Talith became ruler of the kingdom and outlawed magic of any kind for the common people. This has lead to the exile of many people and supernaturals. Currently, the supernaturals have set up an island as a school. Talith doesn't seem to be going after the group so, for now, it's safe.

The island is inhabited by sirens which protect the people fleeing Talith's tyranny. Melody is the leader of the sirens and acts as the queen of the island. She is in charge of the school. The school is in hopes of training the students to defend themselves in case of further threats.

Of course, Melody's reputation isn't the best. She is known for killing for what she wants. So you wouldn't want to make the principle angry. She won't hesitate to harm a student no matter how young.
