Cherry's pov:

Lily is my first and only love and I won't let go of her easily. Without her, I'm nothing. She'd told me she needs to think about it first and I'll give her the time to do that but in the meantime, I'll try my best to win her over and make the best out of my time with her.

The weekend had ended and weekdays had started. Time to face Lily after the last vulnerable moment I had with her. Will she be prepared to give me an answer? I don't know.

Since dad went in jail, I'd been relieved but have I been happy? The answer is no. Yes, my basically enemy of all time had gotten into jail but that wasn't enough to make me happy. I'd never knew what happiness was in my whole life. Until the span of a year when I dated Lily. I was scared but I was happy most of the time. I got to know what real love was, I got to know what happiness was. But now, I'm lost again.

Sometimes, I feel like my life is a forest and Lily is the only one who can help me find my home in that forest. Dad is the wild animal. And Lily distracted me from that wild animal, gave me the strength to fight against it and survive but now I'm lost again in that forest. Though that wild animal is not here anymore, there are still a big imaginary animal always coming after me, fear.

If it wasn't for Lily, I don't think I'd be here, in this position today. I'd been abused so much that I used to think it's normal until Lily came in my life and I realised it was not. But life goes on, time goes on. Another day starts in the blink of an eye. So let's start this day in the name of my dearest, Lily.

The day went on and on , just like any other day except Lily and I didn't get the chance to talk at all. A busy day at office full of company problems. Had to stay late till midnight but when I came out of the office, I realised Lily and I were going the same way.

I was going by my car, as always but she didn't bring her car. I noticed and asked, "Lily, didn't you bring your car?"

"Yeah, no. It's a bit broken," She replied. The road was silent. All that could be heard were barks of dogs and fast bikes. She tried to look for taxis but didn't find any.

"Come. I'll give you a ride home," I requested, taking my car to her and rolling down the window.

"No, Phi. It's okay. I can manage," She hesitated. She always denied my offers at first, really hesitant.

"Come na. It's okay," I said again and slightly opened the car door. She gave in.

"Fine, Phi," She sighed and got into the car, slightly uncomfortable and tense sitting in my car after such a long time.

"No need to be tense. You used to be all over the car seat. Remember?" I said and she sighed once again,

"Well, that was the past. It's different now," She whispered to herself, not realising I heard her.

I started my car and placed my hand on hers, "Lily, do you still not trust me?" I asked. Her legs were gripping her hands tightly as she sat there thinking deeply. Her face was saying confusion but her smile was weird as if she was thinking of the times we spent together.

She replied after a moment of thinking, "I do trust you, Phi. I'm just... not sure," She replied hesitantly, staring at my hand on her hand.

I saw her gulp and put my hand on her neck, turning her face towards me. "Lily, look into my eyes," I said but her eyes kept glaring all over my face and lips, everywhere except my eyes.

When I realised she's not willing to look into my eyes, I let go and focus on driving. The whole way to her house, we said nothing at all. The silence between us got filled by the songs of crickets.

Once we arrived at her place, I dropped her off at her house, she came out and walked to her house, almost ignoring me until I don't know what occupied her mind and she came running towards my car and dragged me out of the car.

And she was able to forcefully drag me out of the car by dragging my hand, that's how I knew she had been hitting gym lately. But I was still stronger so when I put my weight and pressure onto her, she couldn't drag me anymore.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked, getting annoyed suddenly when she snatched my hand out.

"Come inside." She let go of my hand and said, putting her hand on her bare chin, out of embarrassment.

"Okay. But let me park the car first." I went back and parked the car in the backside and came back to Lily.

"Why do you want me to go in?" I came forward to her, putting my cold, shivering hand on her shoulder. She immediately flinched feeling my hand and stepped back a bit.

"I need to talk to you, phi," She said, getting slowly used to the hand that I kept on her. She turned around in a second and began walking back to her apartment. I followed after her, staring at her from  behind.

She looked gorgeous. Her hair glowing and moving in the cold wind. Her warm furry coat, covering her hand and shoulder yet leaving enough space for a hand to fit on the shoulder. Her eyes glowing brighter and brighter with each step beside me. Her slight abs showcasing through her crop top even in this winter time.

She kept walking into her house to the living room. As she sat on the couch, my eyes were wandering all over that big, expensive apartment, almost like a castle.

The roofs were extremely high. Another person like me could fit there to touch the roof while a big chandelier was swinging in the middle, candles all over the room and a 30 inch TV in front of the couch. I looked to the side and saw a big pool outside through the glass shielded window followed by a small garden on one side.

The couch was taking all over one corner of the room while the stairs were taking the other side, leaving a huge gap in the middle to walk.

Once I came back to reality, I looked at her signalling me to sit beside her but I couldn't take my eyes off of the house she was living in. I knew she was rich but this was just another level.

I sat beside her shocked to my core about how small I and her actually looked compared to the house, it's like we were literal ants. "Um... T-this is your house?" I asked, slightly scared.

"Yes... Whose else would it be?" She replied and smiled at me, knowing how shocked I was seeing her house.

We sat there for a moment in silence, getting used to that apartment until my eyes again went to her slim, perfect body. Her abs and bare skin attracting the hell out of me. She looked away for a second, looking for the water jug she left on the table and I couldn't hold myself back to not reach for those abs in front of me. My hand touched her bare abs unknowingly but judging from her reaction, she didn't mind it at all. She smiled a bit feeling my touch and grabbed my wrist with her hand.

"When did you start working out?" I asked, my hand still caressing her slim waist and bare abs.

Her smile got even brighter when she realised, I was enjoying her abs. "A few months ago," She replied, coming closer and placing her hand on my chin.

My smile was bright as always but when I came back to my senses, I knew I had to resist her. We needed a proper talk.

"Lily, have you thought about giving me a second chance?' I said boldly, being straightforward and she pushed back a bit, removing her hand from my chin and going back to the uncomfortable position she was in the car.

She shook her head a few times, thinking to herself until she finally answered after a few minutes, "I think I do want to give you another chance."

She came closer and locked her eyes into mine, "What about you, phi Cherry? Do you still love me?" She smiled and her eyes wandered around my eyes and lips. She looked at me with anticipation and a little bit of hunger as if she was undressing me with her eyes.

"I always have, Lily. And I always will." And I knew that was exactly the answer she wanted when she immediately crashed her lips on mine, in a hungry way. I was shocked and losing my breath until she realised what she was doing and backed up.

"I'm sorry, phi. I'm really sorry. I just... couldn't control myself," She apologised, her cheeks red with embarrassment, as she digged her face into a cushion nearby. So cute!

I took her face into my hands. Her face is so small that it fits right in the corner of my hands. And turned her face towards me, "Let's take it slow, okay?" I asked and slightly tickled her cheek.

Her bright smile got immediately brought back and she made a gesture saying "okay!" cutely.

Lily's pov:

Yes, I got back together with her but the fear inside me is still there. What if she leaves me again? I need to make that clear.

"Phi, I still have something to ask." I said, looking at phi Cherry while holding her hand.

"What is it?" She asked.

"What about your dad? Will he be a problem again?" I asked, seriously and she gave me a look of reassurance followed by her lovely answer, "He won't be a problem. He's in jail now."

I was happy and shocked at the same time, "Really? Phi!! How did you do that?" I asked.

"I just did, Lily. For you." She smiled brightly and kissed my forehead. "I can do anything for you."

Phi Cherry had some work left so she needed to go home, once she got it all solved. She waved me goodbye and left for her apartment with the brightest and happiest smile I'd seen on her since I saw her after these 4 years.

2 Days Later

Cherry's pov:

It was Lily's birthday and I wanted to make the best out of it. So I planned a surprise for her.

I planned to make a fancy dinner for Lily at home. I invited Lily over and decorated the house properly. She would come in a few hours.

Lily's pov:

It's my birthday and phi Cherry invited me over for a dinner. I don't know if she's planning anything or not but I'm grateful that she's back to being on my side.

Though I still doubt if I can fully trust her but I'm a go with the flow type of person and I seem to not take long to make decisions which is sometimes harmful but my heart says to give her another chance and I can't resist her.

I'll try this chance out. Everything she said made sense so I'm gonna trust her this time.

I went to her house but saw the door open. I got scared but I slowly entered the house, light's off, totally dark until I heard a loud "surprise" and phi Cherry came out from behind the couch, turning on the lights.

"What are you doing? I was scared," I whined and she immediately put hand on my eyes, taking me to walk over to her bedroom.

"Sshhh." She sushed me down, put me to sit on the bed and opened my eyes. "Tadaaa" she laughed as she showed me some type of fancy dinner there was placed over the bed.

The room was filled with balloons and rose petals. She took the food to the table beside the sofa and I noticed a big banner on the room decorated beautifully saying, "Happy Birthday, Lily." Under that was something else written in slightly smaller letter with pink ink, "I love you, my love." My eyes felt like melting seeing the beautiful scenery. All the grudges I had held over her flew away in seconds. And all that was left in my heart and eyes were love.

"I love you too, phi Cherry." I looked at phi Cherry, almost in the verge of crying as she touched my cheek with heart eyes melting me even more.

"I love you more." She leaned down and brushed the side hair off of my forehead, giving me a little forehead kiss before leaning up and looking at another banner on the side saying, "Let's stay like this forever, can we?"

Happily Ever After.
