Chapter 4. Coincidental Encounter.

It'd been 4 days since Lily started university. She hadn't really talked to Cherry since that day. Her friend Jenny was the same age as her, and she was her roommate, but she didn't go to the same university as her.

The sun shone brightly in the middle of the sky, spreading it's light everywhere. Lily had morning classes that day, but it looked like the sleeping beauty didn't want to wake up yet. Jenny was done with her daily duty and was trying to wake her up.

"Wake up, girl. Am I your maid? Why do I have to wake you up every day? And why... are you so freaking stubborn? Now wake up!!" Jenny exclaimed, the frustration in her voice obvious. Her hand roamed to the side of the bed, eyes still fixed on Lily.

"Can you stop nagging? You're not my mom. Just let me sleep for 5 more minutes!" Lily replied as she was half asleep, stretching away and trying to avoid the similar figure.

"There's no more 5 minutes, babe. Your class starts at 8. It's 7:44 now! Wake up!" Jenny exclaimed as she shook Lily's body and threw the blanket away to somewhere around the bed.

"7:44? Are you kidding? Oh shit!" Lily exclaimed in shock, finally getting up in hurry and rubbing her eyes.

"Now you care, huh?" Jenny responded with a sarcastic tone.

"Can you just shut up and help me get dressed?" Lily asked with a panicking voice, her hands hurrying everywhere in the room and her closet, trying to find a suitable dress.

"Yeah, yeah, sure," Jenny replied as if she had no choice.

Cherry's pov:

I was so annoyed! I didn't have morning class that day! Why did I have to come pick Del up? Is she a child? Couldn't she come by herself? I couldn't even sleep peacefully despite having no class!

And that little girl I met the other day? Where was she? Did she just disappear on me? I still couldn't figure out where I had seen her. She's driving me crazy!!
Wait, isn't that her??

"Hey, baby girl. You're so cute, you know? Mind giving me your number?" The creepy guy gave the girl a strange look as he walked closer to her.

"Stay away from me. Who are you?" The girl shouted, looked scared but no one came forward to help her. "I am in a hurry. I am going to miss my class."

"What hurry?" The creepy guy asked and grabbed her hand."Let me go!" The girl shouted and wiggled her hand around to try to loosen of the grip.

Why was no one helping her? Oh... The guy was the leader of that gang. But I needed to help her! And he couldn't out-scare me anyway!

"Hey, what the hell are you doing? You're harassing a girl? In public? Seriously?" Come on! You knew who I was! It didn't matter if you're that bullshit gang's leader; I was still scarier!

"I am not harassing anyone! I just like her and wanted her number," The guy replied, his voice slightly breaking in fear as he backed a few steps away.

"Oh, yeah?" I grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled it. He screamed in pain, trying to get my hand out of his hair. "Do you still want her number?" I asked sarcastically with a harsh voice.

The guy got more scared and ran away the second I let go. That was the gang's leader?? Scaredy- cat!!! "Are you okay?" I asked the girl. Since she was the same girl I met on the first day, she should be able to recognize me.

"I am Cherry." I said calmly.

"I know..," She whispered softly.

"Huh?" How would she know that? Okay, there's definitely something about this girl that I didn't know!

"I mean, I am Lily," She hesitated a bit and then replied.
Lily?? It sounded familiar, but why couldn't I remember it?

"Lily? As in the flower? How cute!" I exclaimed but she started blushing and didn't answer.

"Are you blushing?" I raised an eyebrow.

"NO!" She replied with a high-pitched voice.
"It's just that someone once said the same thing to me," She continued, looking downwards while her cheeks were quite obviously red.

"Who? Your lover?" I asked with a smirk.

She replied, "I need to go to class." and ran away for the second time. Why was she always running away??

It was unusual for me to be so comfortable with a person I hadn't met long ago but I didn't know why, Lily had that charm. She was usually quite confident as I had noticed her before many times but she always got shy when she talked to me and it always gave me a chance to possibly tease her. I really didn't know why I liked teasing her so much but I just did.

Lily's Pov:

'I did not just meet her again like this! And you, my cheeks! Can you be any more obvious? I look like a red tomato. I need to go to class. But once again, I ran away! Is she going to be suspicious about this? Why am I so bad at hiding things? But why was the guy so scared of her? I wonder! Is it because she's in her third year?
It's not the time to think about this, Lily! You need to hurry!!'

After class:

"Finally, the class is over! I don't have any other classes today. I can go back and chill now!" Lily yelled, spreading her arms over as she walked out of the classroom.

"Where are you going now, Lily? It's the weekend tomorrow. We're going clubbing. Are you coming?" Asked Neel, the leader of the mean girls.

"No, you guys can go. I think I am going to Netflix and chill with Jenny," Lily replied with a soft voice.

"You're still hanging out with that roommate of yours? Like, she's such a nerd! You're rich, intelligent, and fashionable. Why are you still hanging out with that silly girl?" Asked Mol, short for Molly, another one of the mean girls.

"First of all, she is not silly! And she is my friend, which none of you are. Second of all, just because I am rich doesn't mean I need to hang out with you, you, and you only!" Lily pointed at each of them, making them embarrassed, especially since she was shouting and the whole hall room was staring at them as if they were beating someone up.

"And lastly, you can go clubbing. I don't want to go clubbing and then end up in the hospital like you!" Lily gave them a sassy smile and walked away, not realizing someone was looking at her the whole time!

"Wow! I didn't know she could fight back like that," Cherry thought to herself, looking at Lily with fascination.

Back at the dorm with Lily and Jenny:

Jenny and Lily were talking and gossiping while a Netflix show was going on the television.

"You know, I had to fight the whole mean girls group just to spend the day with you! They literally go clubbing every single weekend," Lily pressed with assurance.

"Thanks for being by my side in this hard time. I have no idea how I'd be right now without you." Jenny appreciated her presence.

"You know, I met P'Cherry again today," Lily brought it up with a slight smile on her face.

"Really? How? Did you bump into her again? Tell me in detail!!" Jenny asked curiously.

"So a guy was bullying and harassing me, and... she came to protect me," She replied again with a smile.

"Not her being protective! What happened next?" Jenny teased her.

"We introduced ourselves, and... she called me cute!" Lily started blushing.

"Ahhh... Really?" Jenny screamed and pinched Lily's hand.

"But there's a problem." Lily got a bit serious.

"What is it?" Jenny stopped smiling like crazy and looked into Lily's eyes.
