Cherry went back home devastated, having no idea how to confront Lily about this. Should she just tell her the truth? But Cherry knew that there's more. Her dad won't leave them alone just like this. Even right now, she knew that there had to be someone following her so she couldn't escape it.

Cherry walked into the room and saw Lily still asleep. She laid next to her and slept along hugging her from behind.

But this time, when she opened her eyes, she was left with just the shadow and smell of Lily's body behind, beside her. She got up and started looking for Lily all around the house when she found her in the kitchen, making something. Since she knew Cherry didn't get enough sleep earlier, she decided to let her sleep and make the breakfast herself. Seeing Lily in the kitchen instantly brought a smile on Cherry's face. She went to her to see what she was making.

Cherry's pov:

I woke up and saw Lily in the kitchen making something. I went up to her and hugged her from behind. I was happy and sad at the same time.

I had to make the best out of that day as it'd probably be our last day together. I was planning to break up with her the day after. I probably won't see this beautiful figure anymore.

The day went by in the blink of an eye just when I didn't want it to end. It's always like this. The time had come. I had to do something about it.

The next day, I woke up and Lily was still asleep. I ordered food this time, instead of making something. After a while, Lily came to me and sat beside me, asking me what's wrong as she noticed I looked pale. Probably because I couldn't sleep at all the previous night knowing what I would have to do that day.

I decided to be open about it so I replied with, "Lily... I think we should break up." My head down as she's trying to make eye contact with me.

She immediately freezed, hearing my words. And started panicking the moment she realized what I had uttered. "Phi! What are you saying?!? Why??" She yelled. Her voice got stiff. It's like she's trying to hold her tears.

I stayed silent but she got louder. "Why phi?" She asked, shaking my body. "Phi! Answer me!" Her voice started cracking as she cried loudly, causing my tears to fall as well.

"Phi! Why do you keep doing this to me? We've been dating for almost a year now!" She said, her voice was calm but her sobs got louder. It's like I could hear her heart break into pieces but there was nothing else I could do. I needed to do that. Not only because I was forced to do so but also because it was needed. I knew it was gonna happen eventually. How selfish of me to still get with her, knowing it's not going to last!

Lily is my world. She's my everything. She'd always been, since the very beginning. But if being with her puts her in danger, I'd rather have her stay away from me, even though it'd hurt me into pieces as well. "I... I am sorry, Lily! But... I... can't do this anymore!" I said and started sobbing every word due to crying so hard. Tears were flowing like a waterfall.

"Why, phi? Can you just tell me the reason?" She replied harshly. I shook my head.

"I... can't, Lily." I replied, got up and started walking away to the door until I felt Lily hands on my waist.

"No, phi! Please don't leave me!"

I gulped and turned around, trying to be mesmerized by Lily's beautiful face. Probably seeing it for the last time. And the last scene I saw with her was her crying, how great! I cupped Lily's little face with my hands. "Lily... Listen. I can't do this. Please let me go..."

"Please, phi. I can't live without you! At least tell me the reason." She got on the floor hugging my legs. "Please..." her voice was tired and barely audible.

I detached her hands from hugging my legs and walked away from the door, sobbing but ignoring her screaming my name. That was one of the hardest moments I've had to endure in my whole life. After the breakup, I started living my life goallessly. Not knowing what I was doing with my life anymore, I started to lose the courage. A few days later, Del came out to me that she was dating Jenny as if I didn't know already.

Del had been my best friend since forever. Although I kinda felt betrayed by her not telling me about this earlier, I respected her boundaries. She told me to get over it and start a new life and get with the goal of doing something about my father. And I decided to do just that. I tried to start a new life, putting how much I was missing Lily aside. Lily had blocked me everywhere which proved that she had probably moved on already.

But it's okay, once I deal with this shit, I'll clear it up. I spent the last year of uni basically alone, focusing on my studies and trying to ignore Lily's existence around me.

A year, after my graduation, I moved back to my dad's house. The torture remained, but the situation with Lily made me strong enough to fight against it. I tried to find out his weaknesses to knock him down. Slowly but eventually, I succeeded.
