A few days later they were bringing my sister home. She was banged up but whole. We laid together on my hospital bed for a while when they first got in. We sort of just talked and caught up.

I'd had an appointment that morning where Carlisle cleared me to wear a boot and said he'd pick up the hospital bed tomorrow morning. I was back to sleeping in my bed. The biggest down side was now Emmett was no longer allowed in my bed.

I started to wonder if maybe Bella and I could work something out. Some sort of agreement where we both got to sneak our boyfriends into our room.

"Alright you two. Esme put dinner in the oven before she left and it's finished," Dad said. He was standing in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room as he watched us.

"Are we eating in front of the flat screen?" I asked.

"No," he said. "We can eat at the table like civilized humans for once."

I started laughing. "Hear that Bells. He thinks we're civilized."

She started laughing as I helped her to her feet. She had a fractured foot as well so we were twinning with our boots.

After dinner, we all settled in to watch a movie together. Dad had fallen asleep halfway through so Bella and I were each texting our respective boyfriends.

what are you doing tonight?

Wrestling match with Jas. Why what's up?

Just hoping you'd stay with me.

Dad said you're in a boot and back to using the stairs. Which means you're back in your bedroom with Bella.

So have that conversation with Bella and maybe tomorrow night.

I sighed earning Bella's attention instantly.

"What's up?" She asked.

"Emmett said he won't stay with me unless it's cool with you since we ya know share a room," I said. She nodded and ran a hand through her hair.

"It's cool if not," I said quickly. I didn't want her to feel pressured into giving in.

"Is it cool if I get Edward to join his brother?" She asked.

"Of course. Ground rules: no sex. No making out. Definitely no telling Dad," I said. I glanced at my still sleeping father. Bella laughed a little.

"Works for me," she said, texting Edward as I relaid the message to Emmett. He still said no to tonight but I gave in pestering him about it.

"Should we go to bed?" I asked as the credits rolled. She only nodded so I got up and turned the TV off as she headed for the stairs.

"Dad, Dad, hey," I said, shaking him to wake him up.

"Lot, everything okay?" He asked jumping awake. I nodded and he relaxed.

"Movies over. Bella and I are headed to bed," I said.

He nodded and wiped his eyes. "I'm headed there too. Long days at work are kicking my butt."

"I'm sorry dad. You should really take a vacation," I said.

"This town can't afford that," he said, earning a laugh from me.

I made my way upstairs and changed quickly before crawling into my bed. A few hours later, Edward pushed the window open silently, the only clue that it'd happened was the cool air drifting into the room. I faintly heard him mumbling to Bella but I was far too happy being in my own bed to care.
