Erica's pov
I manage to sneak out with out my made hearing me. For the first time I was outside I'd meet people and maybe find a friend I decided to start at a corner store. Where I saw a little boy about my age holding a Wonka bar and the name on the wrapper, caught my eye. Marsh-fudge explosion. " He comes out with some pretty crazy names for his candy bars." I said . The boy then explained on how his family didn't have much money and that he couldn't afford the bar. So I took out 2 dollars and handed it to the cashier. He thanked me and slowly opened the bar after that people were offering him money for it. He and I walked for a bit " my name is Erica" I said. He introduced himself as Charlie bucket , I looked at my watch and I panicked it was almost 7 pm and my dad would be out of the inventing room soon.
15 mins later
I snuck in through an open window from the living room when I heard the click of the lamp and I knew I was screwed. " And just where have you been young lady" my father asked. So I explained everything I did and he told me the reason he keeps hidden from the public is fear of losing me, like how he lost my mom.
