3rd Person POV

Outside a building deep in the heart of the city, the NYPD are stationed outside. One officer grabs a megaphone and uses it to talk at the person inside the building.

Officer Sterns: To the individual known as Ghost Spider. We've got the whole building surrounded. Come out peacefully with your hands up and you won't be harmed.

A few sec9nds later though Ghost Spider crashes out of the window, and dodges the tasers from the police firing at here, she then proceeds to use her webs to restrain all of the officers present. Even when Officer Sterns trues to use a net gun to apprehend Ghost Spider, she simply back flips and uses her webs to restrain her.

Ghost Spider: Next time, come prepared.

Ghost Spider then uses her webs to swing away from the scene. The scene suddenly pauses, as it's revealed this was merely a recording of a previous encounter the NYPD has had with her since Kevin's demise. The view pans out and see's Captain Stacy sitting with two young SHIELD Agents, Daisy Johnson, A.K.A. Quake, and Rayshaun Lucas, A.K.A. Patriot. Captain Stacy explains.

Captain Stacy: I'd like to pretend that this was just an incompetent rookie's mistake, but Officer Sterns is one of my best. It's time to admit that the NYPD isn't going to bring in the Ghost Spider. That's why I've come to you Agent Johnson, Agent Lucas.

Patriot: Patriot is fine. And we specialize in dealing with, enhanced individuals.

Captain Stacy: Cute name for it, but super villian always worked for me. Especially for this one, capturing the Ghost Spider is my number one priority, even if it's not me that brings her in.

Captain Stacy slides a file of the Ghost Spider towards Quake, she picks it up and starts looking through it.

Quake: Don't worry, Captain Stacy, SHIELD is always happy to help.

Captain Stacy: Vigilantes that go bad are far more dangerous than ordinary criminals because of what they can inspire. Ghost Spider was supposedly a hero until she took an innocent kid's life. I won't have any other vigilantes thinking they can end things their way without consequences.

Quake: She was responsible for someone's death?!

Captain Stacy: My little girl's best friend actually. Kevin desrves justice, Agent Johnson.

Quake: Please, call me Daisy. Patriot and I are committed to this case, Captain, we will bring her in.

Quake then stands and walks up to the picture and rewinds and fast fowards several times as she speaks and asks.

Quake: Have you ever considered that she might not be working alone?

Captain Stacy: Ghost Spider's strictly solo. Why?

Quake: Look. After she breaks out of the window in this second, the room behind her gets darker inside.

Captain Stacy: Must be a trick of the light. We searched every inch of that building, no one was there.

Patriot: Then she'll be easier to catch.

Captain Stacy: There's nothing easy about it. Out analysts says she's a pro, most likely military background, and I hope Captain America trained you very well, because Ghost Spider is about as cunning and agile as they come.

Quake: One way or another, we'll bring her in.

Captain Stacy: I should also warn you, that I'm not the only one hunting her, and he's got a fiery temper.

The scene cuts to (Y/n) in his Charizard form standing on top of the Chrysler building looking out over the city, when his phone starts ringing. He pulls it out and sees Wanda trying to call him, he simply looks down in shame and declines the call.

(Y/n): Sorry Mom. I can't come home, not until I find Kevin's killer and make them pay in fire. *menacing growl*

Timeskip Next Night

Gwen has just gotten done explaining herself to two young aspiring superheroes, Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl, even detailing the powers of the woman in the warehouse, but she also under threat of like a thousand squirrels eating her alive. So, yeah... I know, it's wierd.

Ms. Marvel: I mean, it could be true. I have heard of Inhumans with wierder powers.

Squirrel Girl: Or she's just making it up and Kevin wasn't her bestie. He could've been just an enemy or some kid in the way.

Ms. Marvel: How do you prove someone is your best friend?

Ghost Spider: *grows embarrassed* Uh, I never thought this would be anything but an embarrassment. But, for what it's worth.

Ghost Spider removes her glove and pulls up her sleeve to reveal a self woven friendship braclet with two cubes laced into onto it with the letters K and G.

Squirrel Girl: Well,...... yeah that's pretty convincing, I'm in.

Squirrel Girl helps Ghost Spider to her feet.

Ms. Marvel: Yeah, we'll help you find the woman in the warehouse.

Ghost Spider: No, you can't. You're both still heroes and if anyone thinks you're with me, you'll be hunted too. Do really want the cops after you? SHIELD?

Ms. Marvel: It's the right thing to do.

Ghost Spider: There are lots of right things to do. I have to find this woman, avenge my friend, and clear my name. Until then I can't help the people of this city the way that I should, but you can.

Ms. Marvel and Squirrel Girl nod, suddenly, Squirrel Girl's, uhm, squirrel friend, Tippy Toe, squeals loudly. But before anyone can react, a large figure dives out of the sky and lands hard in front of the three young girls. Gwen was terrified when she saw who it was.

Ghost Spider: *terrified* (Y/n).

Before anyone else can react, (Y/n)'s Charizard form launches at Ghost Spider, tackles her, then grabs her by her head and flies off with her high into the sky.

Ghost Spider: Hey! Please, let me explain myself! Please, (Y/n)!

Charizard doesn't listen and flies a bit higher before executing a Seismic Toss and throws Ghost Spider, and she slams into the side of a maintainence entrance making a huge crack in the brick wall. Ghost Spider groans as she pulls herself out of the wall and stands a little wobbily and places her hand on her head.

Ghost Spider: Ow. That really hurt.

Charizard: *Roars*

Ghost Spider sees Charizard charging at her fast, thanks to her Spidey Sense, she is quick to dodge but she lands on her rear as Charizard slams into the wall hard. Gwen's breathing becomes heavy with how terrified she is as Charizard pulls his head out of the wall the slaps her with his right wing before marching towards her snarling and biting at her feet. Gweb scoots back to avoid his bites, until he actually grabbed her left foot.

Ghost Spider: Ow!

Gwen then kicks Charizard in the face, forcing him to let go, but Charizard simpky leaps onto her and stomps his left foot onto her chest and pins her to the ground. Ghost Spider tries to get Charizard's foot off her as he growls at her.

Ghost Spider: *terrified whimpers* (Y/n), please.

Charizard: You killed Kevin. Now you burn!

Charizard starts charging up a Flamethrower-

Causing Ghost Spider to frantically reach up and pull her mask off to reveal her face to her dear friend. This causes Charizard to hold back the flames and looks at Gwen in shock.

(Y/n): G-Gwen?

Gwen: *sniffles* Yes, (Y/n). It's me.

(Y/n) is quick to get off Gwen and help her up before stepping back still trying to process the revalation and reverting back to his human form.

(Y/n): Gwen.... When.... How.... Why?

Gwen: Guess I should start at the beginning. I was bit by a radioactive spider and was granted powers and since then I've been trying my best to be a hero since I was 15. After Kevin got his powers, he begged me to train him to use his powers to become a hero of his own, because you refused to.

(Y/n): He was only a fledgling, he wasn't ready!

Gwen: I know! *sniffles* I know.... he and I were supposed to meet up for our first patrol together that night. He was running late, so I got worried and tracked his phone to that warehouse, but I was too late. *sniffles and wipes away tears* I was so struck with grief and shock, I didn't notice the other woman in the warehouse.

(Y/n): Other woman?

Gwen: Uhm-

Patriot: She's only saying that to save her own skin. *appears* I'm not that gullible.

Gwen is quick to put her mask on and the two see Patriot land on the roof with his shield/hoverboard.

(Y/n): Who are you?

Patriot: Name's Patriot, I work for SHIELD and trained by Captain America. I'm here to arrest the supervillain Ghost Spider.

(Y/n) didn't immediately respond, but he looked like he was thinking.

Ghost Spider: *sarcastic* Patriot, you're back. That's so... tenacious.

Patriot wasn't taking any chances and fired rockets at Ghost Spider, fired from his shield. (Y/n) was quick to respond with an Ember attack and prematurely detonate the rockets. He then transformed into his Charizard form and flew to the left avoiding the expolsion and simultaneously picking up Gwen on his back. Charizard flies up and fires a Flamethrower and deliberately misses causing a smokescreen for Charizard and Ghost Spider to start flying away.

Gwen: Wait. So, you believe me?

(Y/n): Don't hold your breath. You still have lots of explaining to do.

Gwen: Deal. I'll tell you everything, I promise.

Charizard is suddenly with some sort of energy blast.

Charizard: *groans in pain*

Gwen: (Y/n)!

Charizard falls out of the sky unconsciousness, Ghost Spider used her quick thinking to use some of her webs to slow their descent, and just before they get close to the ground, Ghost Spider then cuts the webbing and the two land on the ground.

Ghost Spider: *groans* What a night.

Quake: Ghost Spider, you're under arrest.

Quake walked up and cuffed Ghost Spider, but as Patriot lands next to Quake, Charizard starts regaining consciousness. He stands, flares his wings then shakes his head before seeing Ghost Spider in cuffs.

Charizard: *growls* Hand over the spider.

Patriot: No chance. You're lucky we don't arrest you for attacking a SHIELD agent, monster.

Charizard: *Snarls*

Ghost Spider: Oh webs, you really shouldn't have said that.

Instead of fire, Charizard stomps his right foot on the ground and creates a strong enough earthquake to scatter all three across the street. Charizard flies and grabs Ghost Spider, frees her from the cuffs and holds her.

Charizard: You need to go.

Ghost Spider: And leave my friend behind?! Nuts to that!

Charizard: Go!

Charizard throws Ghost Spider pretty far down the street, Ghost Spider knows (Y/n) won't be in super trouble but he'll be alive, so she webs herself to safety. Charizard is hit with another quake blast and groans as he falls to the ground.

Quake: Not many can withstand my quake blasts. You're under arrest for aiding a fugitive.

Charizard tries to get up but loses strength and collapses to the ground. Patriot recovers and approached next to his partner.

Patriot: Well, at least we can keep him out of the way until we find Ghost Spider again.

Charizard reverts to his human form and is cuffed and has a restraint put over his mouth to prevent him from breathing fire. He's then taken to the SHIELD Helicarrier where the Avenger's and Sub-Director Maria Hill are waiting. Quake and Patriot lead (Y/n) out and most of the Avenger's have a disappointed expression as (Y/n) is lead into an interrogation room. Maria Hill walks in first with a confidant expression, she slams a file folder onto the table and starts talking.

Maria: You must a special kind of gullible or stupid to believe a supervillain. So, you're gonna tell me where Ghost Spider is and why you helped her escape my agents. Now.

(Y/n): You don't scare me Hill, so buzz off.

The door suddenly opens and Wanda walks in, and glares at Maria, Maria sighs annoyed and walks out. Wanda closes the door and uses her powers to lock it, she then uses her powers to release (Y/n) from his restraints and give them a private place to talk.

Wanda: No one can hear us in here, (Y/n).....*no answer* I know you. You wouldn't do something like this without a damn good reason..... Please, I want to help you, but I can't unless you talk to me.

Wanda sees some stray tears threatening to fall from (Y/n)'s eyes, she walks over and gently wipes them away.

(Y/n): Kevin asked me to go with him that night. *sniffles* But I was being a selfish bastard and told him I had homework to do. If I had gone with him, I could've protected him.

Wanda: Please, don't do that to yourself. For all we know you could've died there as well.

(Y/n): That doesn't make it easier!

Wanda: *remains calm* I know, and nothing we do will bring Kevin back. The best you can do is honor his memory and find who took him from us.

(Y/n): ..... Ghost Spider didn't do it.

Wanda: What?

(Y/n): Kevin's wounds are not consistent with her powers, but she knows who did.

Wanda: All the more reason for her to come forward.

(Y/n): Look around, Mom. The cops, SHIELD, they don't care about what she thinks. They just want her rotting in a jail cell, they don't care about the truth.

Wanda: Okay, why do you feel you can trust her at all?

(Y/n): That's not my secret to divulge, I just need to find who's really responsible.

Wanda wants to keep asking, but she feels her son is telling the truth and stops herself.

Wanda: Okay, then I trust you.

Wanda releases her powers and everything in the room goes back to normal and she walks out.

Captain America: Well?

Wanda: He's was trying to get the truth from Ghost Spider when these two interrupted and just wanted to arrest her. (Y/n) believes Ghost Spider isn't the one responsible for Kevin's murder.

Maria: That's impossible. There was no one else in the warehouse.

Wanda: Did you have any proof that anyone else was in there before you all showed up?

Maria couldn't respond but Wanda was right, they had no evidence to say whether or not Ghost Spider did kill Kevin.

Patriot: He still attacked two SHIELD agents unprovoked. Besides, he's a loose cannon.

Captain America: Rayshaun, that's enough. I've known (Y/n) since he was 11 years old and he wouldn't do something like that without his reasons.

Maria eventually agreed and let (Y/n) go. He transformed and flew off into the night sky when he got a call, (Y/n) lands on a roof and reverts back to his human form and answers the call.

(Y/n): Hello?

Gwen: (Y/n)? Are you okay?

(Y/n): Yeah, SHIELD let me go, but we need to be careful going forward in this manhunt.

Gwen: We?

(Y/n): ..... I promised at Kevin's grave I would find who killed him and make them pay.

Gwen: Okay then. I'll let you know when and where we can meet.

(Y/n): Fine, just don't be late.

Gwen: *stifles a giggle* Deal. Gotta go. See you soon, friend.
