(Y/n) POV

It's been 2 months since I started school, and with Gwen and Kevin's help especially, I started to grow accustumed to school life, and the fact that an Avenger was never far away was comforting. Today was a typical school ending day and I am talking with Kevin, Gwen and the others, waiting for Mama to pick me up.

Gwen: Hey, (Y/n). Kevin's planning a sleepover at his parent's house tomorrow, wanna come?

(Y/n): Oh, uhm. *shyly* Mama wants me back home after school.

Everyone: Awww!

MJ: Aww, it would be a lot more fun if you could come.

Kevin: *thinks for a moment* ..... Why not just have the sleepover at (Y/n)'s house instead?

Barbara: Oh! That's smart!

Gloria: And, (Y/n) lives in Avenger's Tower!

Gwen: Oh! Can we have a sleepover at your home, (Y/n), please?!

(Y/n): *flustered* Uhm....

Wanda: *off-screen* I'd have to clear it with Captain America, but I think it would work.

I turn around surprised that Mama is standing behind me with a confidant grin on her face.

(Y/n): Mama!

I hug Mama and then remember I should probably ask permission before making plans with my friends.

(Y/n): Uhm, Mama?

Wanda: *kneels down to my level* Yes, sweetheart?

(Y/n): Uhm.... C-Can my friends and I have a sleepover tomorrow night at Avenger's Tower?

Wanda: *stifles a proud giggle* Of course you can.

My friends cheer behind me and I hug Mama again. I say goodbye to my friends then climb into the car and Mama drives us home. I am honestly really excited about this sleepover, and Mama starts helping me set up two different rooms.

(Y/n): Mama? Why are we furnishing two rooms?

Wanda: Because, it's polite and respectful to have boys and girls sleep in different rooms.

(Y/n): Why?

Wanda: *hesitates* .... I'll tell you when your older.

Tony: *enters room* Hey, what's going on?

(Y/n): *excited* My friends from school are coming for a sleepover tomorrow night!

Tony: More kids? *sighs* Just keep them out of my lab.

Wanda: Quit whining, Tony.

Mama did make me a list of rooms my friends and I are not aloud to go into for safety reasons, but I was still excited about my very first sleepover.

Timeskip Next evening

Wanda POV

I am sitting in a armchair in the lounging room making sure everything is ready for the sleepover when I hear JARVIS call for my attention.

JARVIS: Excuse me, Ms. Wanda?

Wanda: Yes, JARVIS?

JARVIS: (Y/n)'s friends and their parent's are at the front door.

Wanda: I'll meet them in the lobby. Thanks, JARVIS.

I grab (Y/n) and we head down to the lobby in the elevator, the door opens and I see Gwen, Kevin and (Y/n)'s other friends, as (Y/n) greets his friends, I talk to the parents.

Wanda: Hello, how is everyone tonight?

Mrs. Stacy: Very well, Ms. Wanda.

Kevin: Come on, (Y/n)! Let's get this party started!

I laugh with the adults as (Y/n)'s friends say goodbye to their parents.

Mrs. Stacy: I'm really glad all our kids are friends.

Wanda: Me too. (Y/n) is definitely much happier because of friends that understand and appreciate him. So, tomorrow morning at 8?

The parents agree and leave the Tower, I then lead the group of children up the elevator and into the lounge area.

Gwen: So what do we do first?

MJ: How about we play hide-n-seek?

Kevin: Great! Gwen's it! 1, 2, 3, GO!

The kids all run in different directions while young Gwen starts counting down from 10. I simply giggle to myself and head to the kitchen and start baking cookies and finishing dinner. As Gwen counts down, (Y/n) tries and sneaks under the sink in front of me, I stifle a giggle as he closes the door.

Gwen: 8... 9... 10! Ready or not, here I come!

Gwen starts looking around and heads towards me in the kitchen, I subtley indicate where (Y/n) is before turning to the stove and checking dinner. I then hear Gwen open the sink door and yell.

Gwen: Ha! Found you, (Y/n)!

(Y/n): Aww!

Gwen laughs before searching the rest of the lounge floor for the others. Finally, after about a half hour everyone else is found and surprisingly, Kevin was the last to be found and therefore the winner.

Wanda: Alright, everyone! Dinner's ready, come and eat!

I made (Y/n)'s favorite food and the other kids seemed to enjoy it as well, I then sat down with them and ate as well.

Kevin: Hey, (Y/n)? We talked about what we want to be when we grow up, but you didn't answer, why not?

(Y/n) got flustered and sinked into his chair shyly in embarrassment.

Gwen: *excited* Oh! Yes! Please tell us.

(Y/n): *shook head no*

Gwen: *begging* Pleeeeease?

(Y/n): I..... want to be..... an Avenger.

I was surprised by his answer, and as the other kids grew excited and praised (Y/n) for his choice, I started thinking of if he really should train to be an Avenger.

(Y/n) POV

I blush even redder as everyone praises and encourages me, I can feel my temperature rising and I feel the chair I'm sitting in get really hot. I try to calm down, but my temperature keeps rising and I start to grow worried.

(Y/n): Uhm... excuse me, please.

I get out of my chair and briskly walk to the training room.

(Y/n): JARVIS. Targets please.

JARVIS: Very well.

JARVIS sets up several targets and I stretch before heating up and churning up my flames. The targets appear and I release a fireball which, when it hits one target it explodes and the flames hit three other targets. Another set of three targets coming at me from three different directions. I summon fire to my fists and quickly punch all three targets, destroying them. The final target appears from a long distance and roll to the right to dodge the tennis ball then use my Flamethrower attack to accurately hit the target and burn to ashes.

(Y/n): *deep exhale to calm down*

Gwen: *off-screen* Oh man....

I turn around and see Gwen standing there with a shock and awe look on her face.

Gwen: *amazed* THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!

I look down in embarrassment.

(Y/n): I'm sorry. Please don't hate me.

Gwen: Hate you? Why would I hate you?

(Y/n): *on the verge of tears* Well, whenever I've used my powers, I was always called a monster or a weapon of destruction, and I thought-

Gwen: (Y/n). Just because you can use flames in the most awesome way possible, doesn't make you a monster. It's what makes you special, and I like all of who you are, my friend.

I look at Gwen and finally grow the biggest smile I've given since knowing Gwen and the others, while also fighting back the tears.

Gwen: Come on, we're gonna watch a movie and eat popcorn. We gotta stop the girls from picking another boring princess movie.

I wipe away my tears and walk with Gwen back to the lounge area, where we see the others setting up bean bags and pillows, Mama looks at me and I can see the question on her face, whether I'm okay or not, and I smile and nod back. Mama smiles back and turns to the microwave and takes out the popcorn bag. I start to follow Gwen to the couch when I notice movement outside and see-

*EXPLOSION*

My ears are ringing and my vision is blurry as I come to at the far back wall of the lounge area. I open my mouth and cover my ears, my senses recover and refocus as my friends also come to unharmed. I then look at the rest of the room and see several guys in black tactical suits and jet packs, all of them carry a worring symbol.

(Y/n): H-H-HYDRA?

HYDRA: Take the weapon into custody. Leave no survivors.

(Y/n): No!

One HYDRA goon aimed their blaster at me and my friends, I was so scared, I couldn't move to dodge. But the attack never hit, until I saw Mama step in front of us, her outfit was a little torn, but she seemed unharmed, and pissed as she uses her powers to bl9ck the barrage of blaster fire.

Wanda: (Y/n)! Snap out of it!

This shakes me back to reality.

(Y/n): Mama!

Wanda: I'm okay. I'll deal with these goons.

(Y/n): But-

Wanda: Get your friends to safety in the training room. Now! *uses her comm link* Avenger's Assemble!

I couldn't even argue as Mama used her powers to throw me and my friends out into the hall and slam the doors shut.

Gloria: *scared* W-What are we gonna do?!

Gwen: *tries to supress her fear* It's okay, we just need to do what Ms. Wanda said. Right, (Y/n)?

I was about to turn back as I heard Hulk's roar on the other side of the door and a clap of thunder from Thor's lightning outside.

(Y/n): Uhhh, training room. This way!

I lead my friends to the training room and try to fire up the computers but nothing is working.

(Y/n): Darn it! JARVIS isn't working.

Kevin: What are we gonna do?

(Y/n): Don't worry. Mama and the Avenger's can stop them. We're safe in here.

????: *echo inside room* I wouldn't be too sure about that.

I look around and pull my friends behind me as a HYDRA goon drops from the ceiling and lands in front of us. I start shaking in fear, but keep myself between my friends and whoever this guy is.

????: I have orders to bring you back to HYDRA alive, weapon. But what I'm really hoping is that you'd be dumb enough to try and stop me.

I look back at my friends and they are all terrified, I start to think as the goon asks...

????: So, what's it gonna be, monster.

Gwen: Hey! (Y/n) isn't a monster!

The goon goes to grab Gwen, but my instincts kick in and I punch the goon hard in the stomach, sending him flying backwards several feet.

Kevin: (Y/n)?!

(Y/n): Find a hiding spot. Go!

I turn up my flames temperature and my flames engulf my body as I transform in my Charmeleon form.

The flames disappear and my form is shown on full dusplay to my friends as they run and hide. The HYDRA goon recovers and... laughs?

????: I was hoping you'd resist.

To my surprise, flames engulf his body too. When the flames disappear, they reveal the goon has transformed as well, but his transformation is the form of a large bipedal black and red striped cat with flames for a belt.

As scared as I was, I still needed to protect my friends, so I readied myself for battle. I started with a strong flamethrower attack, the attack hits this kitty cat, thing, whatever, but the flames actually don't do a lot of damage. The cat stands tall and taunts me to keep attacking, I go for it and try an up close slash with my claws. This sends the large cat skidding backwards, but he still doesn't fall. Getting angrier, I decide to rush at him and try a new move, by grabbing the cat, leaping us into the air and I start spinning him in a circle before throwing him down into the floor as hard as I can.

(Y/n): Seismic Toss!

The cat crashes into the floor, causing a big cloud of smoke. I land as the smoke clears and I see that the large cat is still standing but has taken significant damage. As he straightens up with newfound vigor, I release another flamethrower attack. To my surprise, he does the same but uses his belt to conjure the flames. Our fire beams connected and struggled for a few seconds, I tried to put more power into it, but the cat's flames were too strong and powered through mine, hitting me and making me collapse on the ground from the hit.

Gwen: (Y/n)!

Kevin: *grabs Gwen* No, Gwen! *pulls her back behind cover*

I stand up a bit slow, but I manage to recover and ready another flamethrower, but suddenly my flames wouldn't work and I start coughing as the flames turn into smoke. I hear fast footsteps and react too late to see the cat charge at me with flames around his teeth, he bites me causing an explosion sending me backwards towards my friends. I pull myself out of the wall but am wobbly when I land on my feet. I look at my friends and push aside any fear and slowky walk toward the fire cat.

(Y/n): Not yet.

Incineroar: Very well then, Get ready for Incineroar's Cross Chop!

Incineroar charges at me and I try to conjure up another flamethrower but all I can produce is smoke and more coughing. Incinroar hits me with the powerfuk attack and sends smashing through the wall and leaving my body lying on the ground as I pass out.

3rd Person POV

Incineroar start chuckling as (Y/n) reverts back to his human form and says to himself.

Incineroar: I don't know why HYDRA is bothering making more of you when I am the only monster they'll need.

Incinroar feels a pebble hit his chest, he looks down and sees Gwen, Kevin and the other kids now standing between him and (Y/n)'s body.

Gwen: We won't let you hurt our friend anymore, you bully!

Incineroar simply laughes amuseingly...

Incineroar: You think you can stop me?! I'm the strongest there is!

Thor: *off-screen* I say thee nay! Hyah!

Incinroar turns around too late and is hit by a flying Mjolnir and sent crashing into the other room. Mjolnir is seen returning to Thor's hand, Hulk then leaps at Incinroar with his fists raised.

Hulk: Hurting kids make me mad!

Incinroar narrowly avoids Hulk smashing his fists into the ground as he lands. Incineroar recovers and sees all of the Avengers in the room with their weapons and power aimed at him.

Iron Man: Your move, pussycat. *readies hand repulsor*

Incineroar simply growls and makes a run for it.

Captain America: Iron Man, Falcon, Widow, after him!

Wanda: (Y/n)!

Wanda rushes to (Y/n)'s side, Gwen and MJ move aside as she does and picks up (Y/n) in his arms and gently presses her fingers to his neck. She finds a pulse and breaths out with relief and starts crying as she holds (Y/n) close in her arms.

Timeskip Next Morning

(Y/n) POV

I wake up with my eyes closed and hearing a steady beeping sound, I open my eyes and slowly look around and see I'm Tony's lab and I'm hooked up to a heart monitor. I see Mama sitting in a chair next to the bed, sleeping and holding my hand tightly.

(Y/n): *groans slightly* Mama?

Mama's eyes shot open and she sat up quickly.

Wanda: *gasp*

She breaths a little and looks at me. Almost immediately, she starts crying and pulls me into a hug.

Wanda: Oh! My baby! *continues crying*

I return the hug and also start to cry, after about 5 minutes, I notice Black Widow, Captain America and Hulk in the back of the room. I stop crying and pull away, but keep my face down as I ask.

(Y/n): Is.... everyone....?

Wanda: *sniffles and wipes away tears* Yes, baby. Everyone's okay. I sent them all home.

I start crying again and hid my face in my hands as Mama asked.

Wanda: (Y/n)?

(Y/n): I.... I wasn't strong enough! I couldn't beat that furball and protect my friends!

Mama pulls me into another hug.

Steve: But you did protect them. They are all unharmed and got to go home because of your bravery. Just because you didn't win a battle, doesn't mean you failed.

Natasha: Just means you need to train hard and get stronger for next time.

I knew they were right, but it still hurt that I couldn't win.

The next morning, I went to school really nervous. Before I coukd walk in the front doors though-

Gwen: (Y/n)!

Kevin: (Y/n)!

I turn around and Gwen, Kevin Barbara, Gloria and MJ all tackle me into a hug.

Kevin: So glad you're okay.

Gloria: Yeah, we were so worried about you.

Everyone let go and stood in front of me, but I didn't dare make eye contact with them.

Gwen: (Y/n)? What's wrong?

(Y/n): .... Y-You all have seen what I can really do now. I understand if you're scared of me or hate me now that you see I'm a monster.

Everyone: Huh?!

Kevin: Dude, you ain't no monster. What kind of monster would risk their lives to protect their friends?

Gloria: You were given amazing abilities.

Barbara: We just didn't know how amazing until the other night.

MJ: And you did your best with what you had.

Gwen: *proudly* Sounds like an Avenger to me.

I look at my friends who all have proud smiles on their faces, I couldn't help but smile and feel that everything is going to be okay.

(A/N): Whew, that was a close one. Uh, I mean- CUT! Great work everyone, you really nailed it this time. It's barbeque night tonight, so everyone eats outside in the sunset! Whooo!
