Wanda POV

I am riding in the Quinjet with the Avengers and Black Widow is explaining the info she's gathered.

Black Widow: It took a while to find any reference to (Y/n)'s powers, but I finally found that he was a "guest" of HYDRA's deep science division.

Wanda: *to herself angrily* HYDRA.

Black Widow: I found a reference to a "Pocket Monsters" when I started looking at HYDRA, but when I started looking into it, the project details using children to be given elemental powers and monstrous forms, just like (Y/n), to be used as weapons.

Captain America: How do they justify using children rather than adults?

Black Widow: In their words, "children's bodies are more easily adaptable than adults".

Hulk: HYDRA hurt little kids make Hulk mad. *growls*

Thor: Verily. Where do we find these monsters, so that we may vanquish them?

Black Widow: I found the epicenter of HYDRA's operations here in an old bunker in Canada.

Iron Man: Alright, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and myself will breach through the front door and draw as many HYDRA forces to us as possible. Cap, you take Widow, Falcon and Scarlet Witch and gain any info on these projects.

Captain America: Good luck, Avengers.

I ready myself, but I can't take my mind off the atrocities my little (Y/n) must've had to endure.

Captain America: Alright, Stealth Team. Prepare for drop-off.

But right now, I need to set my personal feelings aside and focus on the mission at hand. Iron Man flies us over the top of the mountain the bunker is built into, he then grabs a lever that's labelled, 'Drop Hatch Release: Caution', and states.

Iron Man: Emergency drop in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. *pulls lever down*

The hatch beneath my feet open up and Stealth Team drops from the Quinjet. As we fall through the air, Falcon activates his flight pack and flies down fast disabling the sensors, when the rest of us get closer to the ground, I use my powers to grab everyone and slow us down to a quiet, gentle landing. Captain America gestures to a secret doorway built into the mountain itself, Black Widow picks the lock and we all start walking down the hallway.

Captain America: *uses comm link* Captain America to Iron Man. We're in.

Iron Man: *voice-over* We read you, Cap. One diversion coming up.

Captain America: Be careful. Going radio silent. Cap out.

The base suddenly shakes and the Hulk's roar can be faintly heard throughout the base. The alarms start blaring and HYDRA agents and robots start running through the base, while we watch from the shadows.

Captain America: *whispers* Let's move.

I follow Cap and Widow while keeping an eye on our rear to make sure we aren't followed or discovered.

Falcon: *whispers* We need to find a computer.

Thanks, Einstein. We finally find a room that has several human sized test tubes that appear to be empty.

Widow: Looks like they planned for more monstrous children to be made.

I stop as I see five tubes with actual kids inside them in suspended animation. I touched one of the panels and the screen shows a diagram of the child and then several text panels that tell the power's this child possess, but not what it turns into.

Widow: Found a computer.

I stay by the tubes as Falcon and Widow get to work on extracting the information we need. Captain America then stood next to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

Captain America: This turns my stomach too.

Wanda: I just hate to think that this could've easily happened to (Y/n).

Captain America: If it weren't for (Y/n) stumbling on our doorstep, we never would've found out about any of this.

Wanda: Yeah.....

Widow: All right, we're in.

Falcon: Now, let's see..... let's start with, journal entries.

I walk over to the computer console as Falcon clicks on journal entry #1, it shows a video file of a HYDRA scientist standing in front of the screen, Falcon presses 'play'.

Dr. Crowler: Dr. Crowler, log entry 38: Another child did survive the surgery, Baron Strucker has ordered us to keep trying, so we're about to find out whether or not this next child will be the lucky survivor in our new breed of biological weapons under HYDRA's control. Hail HYDRA!

The video shined a light onto a familiar figure and I gasped lightly as I recognized-

Wanda: *small gasp* (Y/n). *breathing starts to shake*

Falcon stops the video before moving on to another entry and presses 'play'.

Dr. Crowler: *on-screen* Finally! We have had success, the first child to survive the surgery, he will be monitored closely for the next 24 hours to make sure the organ graft is not rejected. Then, it's on to Phase 2-

(Y/n): *on-screen* Please! Make it stop! It hurts so much!

The petty excuse of a scientist just ignores (Y/n)'s cries for help and just keeps the camera rolling as (Y/n) writhes on the floor in agony.

Wanda: *voice shakes* Oh my god.

Falcon: *holds back puke*

Captain America: *shook* That's barbaric.

Falcon quickly stops the video and plays a later one, the video starts with (Y/n) wearing nothing but a pair of underwear and a helmet, the camera switches to the video feed inside the helmet and shows that (Y/n) is standing in a blizzard and a huge polar bear walks up to him and stands on it's hind feet and stares (Y/n) down. Dr. Crowler's voice is heard in the background.

Dr. Crowler: The Flame Poke'mon's mental conditioning and reprogramming are at Stage 5. Begin combat assessment.

(Y/n) is suddenly enveloped on fire and he transforms into a smaller version of his usual fire lizard form with orange scales and no horn.

(Y/n): *on-screen* *Roars*

The polar bear roars back and (Y/n) is seen killing the massive creature.

Widow: Whoa. That was brutal.

Suddenly, the tubes light up and alarms start going off in the room.

Falcon: They know we're here!

Suddenly, large orbs come out of the wall and form into hulk sized robots and surround us.

Widow: HYDRA's wiping their drives, I need some cover!

I look to my right and suddenly the tubes with the children inside lower into the floor to who knows where.

Wanda: No!

Captain America: Wanda, look out!

Captain America blocks one robot's punch with his shield, this knocks me back into reality and I grow very angry. I use my powers to levitate every robot into the air and tear them apart. I react just in time to block fire from some HYDRA goons, but I'm grabbed by another robot and thrown into a wall. Even though I used my power to cushion the blow, I was still slow to recover and only manage to see the other Avengers trying to fend off the HYDRA goons.

Widow: I've almost got everything!

Falcon: There's too many!

Captain America: We need to bug out of here, now!

My strength finally comes back and I stand back up, I power up to my maximum potential and start to float into the air. The others see me as my powers starts to reverberate through out the room.

Captain America: Wanda! Keep it under control!

Wanda: Oh I am, Cap. I am going to level this entire base.

Widow: We need to go before that happens, Cap!

Reluctantly, Captain America alerts the other Avenger's to get clear of the blast radius. My power continues to grow and effects everything inside the base for the next several seconds.

Wanda: *rage-fueled yell*

I finally release all of my power and the entire base goes up in smoke and flames.

3rd Person POV

The other Avenger's are on the Aven-jet fleeing the explosion, everyone holds on as the Aven-jet shakes from the force of the explosion. The shaking stops as the explosion dissappates, and everything calms down.

Iron Man: JARVIS, status?

JARVIS: The Aven-jet is unharmed, sir.

Iron Man: Whew, good. Can you scan for the Scarlet Witch?

JARVIS: Already done, sir. She's still in the rubble, but her vitals are stable.

Hawkeye: We gotta get her.

Iron Man flies the Aven-jet back to the edge of the explosion, Hulk and Thor start moving large pieces of rubble, until a low rumbling is heard and the rubble pile starts to move. Suddenly, a bright red orb rises from the debris and lands next to the other Avenger's before disappearing and showing Wanda inside as she powers down. Wanda collapses from the weariness and starts to fall, but Thor was quick to catch her and help her stand as she came to.

Iron Man: Kid, you alright?

Wanda: *shakes head* I.... think so.

Captain America: Are you sure? I've never seen you use that much power at once before.

Wanda: .... I... I was just so angry about what these monster's did to my (Y/n), that I....

Falcon: Can we talk about this somewhere warm? *shivers*

The team eventually agree and climb into the Aven-jet and fly back to Avenger's Tower. Wanda is annoyingly checked out by JARVIS and Tony.

Wanda: *annoyed sigh* I told you, I'm fine.

Tony: You've never displayed that much power before. We need to know-

Wanda: I don't know how else to say it, I got angry and lost self control.

Annoyed, Wanda left the room and sat down in the Common room. She then grabbed a tablet, and saw the data the Avenger's stole from HYDRA. She reluctantly pulled up the final video journal entry and the still picture shows (Y/n) in a test tube with a breathing mask on, Wanda takes a deep breath and presses 'play'.

Dr. Fump: *above loud beeping off-screen* Dr. Crowler! He's fighting the programming!

The video then shows (Y/n) with an angry expression, trying to fight back against whatever HYDRA's trying to do.

Dr. Crowler: *on-screen* We are losing control! Increase the dosage! Initiate Lock-down procedures and someone activate Project Mewtwo!

(Y/n) suddenly is enveloped in fire and then a bright light engulfs his lizard form. The light dissapates after a few seconds and shows he changed, or 'evolved', into his regular lizard form. (Y/n) then stabs his claws through the glass of the tube and breaks himself out. One HYDRA goon falls to the ground with deep claws marks in his back. While the other slams into the observation window with his head decapitated, (Y/n) then envelops himself in fire and causes a huge explosion which stops and destroys what's left of the video and the screen goes static.

Wanda POV

I sit in the chair horrified by what it took for (Y/n) to finally escape his prison, and find me. Right now, he has powers he has just started to gain control over, no one to turn to for help and no one to love..... except me.

Wanda: *deep breath* All right then.

I stand and quietly walk into my room where (Y/n) is still asleep, although it looks like he's tossing and turning, like he's having a nightmare. I sit down on the side of the bed next to (Y/n), I place my hand on his pretty little head and start gently stroking him. This has an immediate effect as he calms down and stops fidgeting, I smile and lean down and kiss his cheek, which makes him smile in his sleep.

Wanda: Sleep well, my son.

I keep stroking his head until I lay down and fall asleep next to him with a loving smile on my face.

(A/N): Whew, finally, great work everyone. I appreciate everyone working overtime to get this chapter done. Dinner and drinks are on me tonight!
