What is it like to fall in love? To find someone who will cherish your heart and your soul. Someone who would die for you. Someone who would protect you at all costs. Someone who would listen to your problems even through the night. Someone who would care for you if you were too sick. Someone who would love you till their very last breath. Love you even though they are gone from the face of the earth. Love you forever even if it's physically impossible. Protect you with their very hearts like a guardian angel. Someone who you would wake up to every morning to receive those three meaningful words, 'I love you'. Those kisses that hold so many unspoken words. The love in their eyes as they look at you. Their undivided loyalty to you. Is this what it feels to be in love, be so in love that it hurts your heart, pains you, but in a somewhat good way? Well, how am I supposed to know when I've never seen it or felt it. Seems like I know a lot about love. That's where you're wrong. All these sayings are found in books. Books that are written by authors who have found their soul mate where I'm left walking alone.
You finally update your last chapter for your book. Your computer loads and your chapter is published on your Wattpad book, (B/n). You sigh, finally able to rest. Logging out of your account and your computer, you start to pack up and leave the library as the school bell rings. Clutching your school bag, you walk through the bustling crowd of students who are eager to get to class. You get pushed around, tripped and shoved. No one sees you. Sometimes not even the teachers. You've never been bullied, never been depressed, though that's an understatement and have amazing friends, but always seem to be invisible to everyone. You are a top-notch student, receiving amazing grades on your reports and tests. You hang out with your friends, to just stand back and watch them have fun, feeling as if you don't belong.
Gripping onto your bag tighter, the bag that holds your computer, that holds your whole world, you finally walk into class. No one notices you and you walk to your table, which is at the front of the class, not at the back. Your hair shading your emotionless face, you take out your art book and start to draw some characters. Already drawn Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng, since they are love interests from Miraculous, you start to draw their superhero selves, together. You look up, greeting your friends as they sit by you, smiling and waving. They start to discuss weekend plans as you just half listen, only answering when they talk to you. The bell rings and you continue drawing, waiting for the teacher to arrive. You realise he's later than usual but then you find out why as he walks in with a guy with pink spiky hair, a massive grin on his face, a tattoo of some sort of fairy with a tail, tight fitted shirt, showing his muscles, Levi jeans hanging low and converses. He has his hands behind his head as he glances over the class full of students. You just keep drawing, not noticing a pair of eyes stopping at you.
As the lunch bell rings, you start to head outside. You hear murmurs of talk about the new kid. Nastu Dragneel. He's surprisingly in all your classes and always sitting next to you in class. You always ignore the childish pyro, listening to your music during class. You're just not bothered to get close to this one boy, no matter how hard he tries to get you to talk to him. Around you, girls whisper about how hot he is and guys asking if he works out and whatnot. You ignore them all and head to the tree high on top of a hill next to the school. You have always loved this spot. The feeling of calmness and tranquility. As you walk closer to the tree, you see a figure sitting by it. You grumble angrily, wondering who actually dares to sit up at your spot. As you walk closer, you notice the pink hair, knowing it's the pyro. You stop short wondering what he was doing here.
Natsu sees you and grins, waving. He was curious about you. You didn't seem to hold any emotion when he walked into your classroom, you just kept drawing. He also noticed that you tend to keep to yourself, especially when he was trying to introduce himself when he sat at the desk next of yours. One thing that did catch his attention, was that fact that you don't seem to interact with the many friends you have. You always stayed back from the conversation or headed to the library. He never did see you crack a real smile or a laugh. And that's why he was there, he wanted to change that. And as the goofy pinked haired ball of energy he was, he wasn't going to back down from this challenge. You walked up to him, holding onto your laptop bag close to you. Natsu instantly stood up, putting out a hand and grinning at you. You look at it, bewildered and confused, then looking back up at him, cocking your head to the side.
"This is my spot." You totally ignore the hand, saying this. Natsu's smile doesn't falter at all, in fact, it grows even wider as puts his hand down by his side, showing off his pearly whites.
"My names Natsu! What's your name?" He grins, closing his eyes. You're surprised, seeing this Natsu guy still smiling. Normally, your straightforwardness would scare people off. But not this guy.
"(Y/n). Care to explain why you're here?" Natsu sits down and you follow suit, keeping your bag close to you.
"Well, I saw this hill through one of the windows at school and I'm like 'hey, there must be one amazing view up here' and that's why I'm here. You?"
"I come here for inspiration and some time alone."
"Inspiration for what?"
"I draw and write stories."
"Really! That's so cool! Can I see!?" You jump at his voice, smiling inwardly at his goofiness. You nod, taking out your art book, passing it to Natsu. "These are AWESOME!" He flicks through stopping at one particular page, frowning. You look at him puzzled and snatch the book back. Your eyes widen at that one page. You sigh as you remember drawing it. A girl in the middle of a bright and colourful world, people mingling together and chatting as the girl just stands there in the middle. Dark and gloomy, her hair over her face, holding onto a book to her chest. She stands out from the colourful world, as a tear slips from her eyes, splattering on the floor. The colour drained from her body, only darkness seems to loom over her. No one seems to notice the girl, they all just walk around her like she's not even there. Like she's invisible.
You put the book back and stand up, not before a hand catches your wrist. You look down to see Natsu standing up. He smiles at you kindly, bringing a hand to your face. You flinch when he rubs his thumbs just under your eyes. You feel something wet trickle down your cheek. You realise you were crying and turn your head to the side, your hair covering your face. You then get tugged into a strong, warm embrace. You look up to see Natsu hugging you like his life depended on it. You stand there frozen, not knowing what to do. He places his head on top of yours, as you hesitantly hug him back. Your face in his shirt, tears rolling down, wetting it. Natsu doesn't care what happened to his shirt, instead, he cares for the girl he holds in his arms. A girl who seems so carefree and happy on the outside, but is breaking and hurting on the inside. Natsu leans down and whispers in your ear, making everything you buried inside you to break free, like an overflowing river.
"I won't ever leave your side. I will always be there for you, no matter what."
From then, a love blossomed, the childish pink haired pyro named Natsu Dragneel and the quiet (h/c) haired girl named (y/n) (l/n). There is always someone to love you. You just have to search for your other half. They will always be there for you, no matter how much you try to push them away. They will always love you.
