The loud sounds of music reverberates through you, making you jolt in beat of the song. You groan as you cover your ears, people screaming and shouting to one another. You gag at the smell of sweat, smoke and alcohol lingering in the claustrophobic room that is the living room, packed with bodies of limbs and skin and very few clothes. You huddle on the couch, legs under you as you sat cross legged, your head leaning on the couch arm. You disregard a couple fucking each other next to you on the far side of the couch, your words being mere mumbles of curses and how you will get revenge on your friends of dragging you here to this sickening party. Sighing out, you decide to go grab a drink from the kitchen. If you could find it. You stand up and struggle getting past the closely packed bodies, gagging at the heat of bare skin and the smell.
"I must be the only sober one here." You murmur as you see a group of people cackling around the counter bench when you found the kitchen. You see a certain guy with a smug look on his face, chugging down a beer while his friends hyped him up. You shake your head at the idiocy of these people when he slams down the bottle on the bench. The people around him whoop in joy and cheer him on, others patting him on the back for completing the dare. The group then dissipate towards the backyard, probably to hang out at the pool. You thanked god for being alone and grabbed a red cup, filling it up with tap water. You drain it quickly, going for another refill when a beer is placed in your line of vision. You look up to see who was holding out the beer and see that it was the same guy chugging it. "Yes?"
"Do you want some?" You shake your head.
"I'd rather not. I'm not one to drink."
"Come on! Really?" You nod. "Thats fucking stupid. You fucking don't have fun do you?" You shake your head, chuckling.
"You seem to be the king of fun." You say as you put out your hand. "(y/n)." The guy looks down at your outstretched hand and looks back at you.
Justin stared at you, utterly curious at someone wouldn't as dare to drink. The corners of his lips lift up in a smirk and shakes your hand. He turns behind him slightly to see his friends egging him on. He nods and looks back down at you.
"Justin."
"As in Justin Foley?"
"You fucking know it." Justin waited for you to blush and stutter like most girls he met but he was met with silence and a passive face. He furrowed his brows as you just lean back on the edge of the sink and stare at the large mass of bodies having fun.
"You're still here?" Justin jumps slightly when hearing your voice as you just drink your cool water without facing him.
"Why not." Justin tries to think of a way to get you intoxicated and stares at the familiar unopened bottle of wine. He stares back at his friends, all expecting him to make a move on you. "Sweet or sour?" Justin sees you furrow your brows in confusion and stare up at him.
"What the fuck?" Justin chuckles lowly, hearing you swear.
"Which do prefer more? Sweet food or sour food?" Justin grins, seeing you speculate his question, letting out a oft sound of concentration.
"Sweet. Definitely. But why?" Justin smirks as he places his beer down and walks towards the wine bottle and picks it up, turning back to you.
"Might as well fucking teach you to drink while we are here having the best fucking time of our lives." Justin pops open the bottle and sees your glare on your face. He stops short, a shiver going down his spine as he sees you raise a brow.
"I'm not fucking stupid Justin. I know your friends dared you to try and sleep with me." Justin sees you roll your eyes and he turns to his friends who all shake their heads at the failed mission. They all walk away, uninterested in the scene between Justin and you. Justin turns back to you as you yawn into your hand.
"But your still here?" Justin says and you shrug.
"I know you're not a bad person Justin." Justin gulps, as you stared up at him, almost as if you could tell his innermost regret. Justin stares at you, his interest peaked.
"Who says i'm not."
"Me." Justin stutters his heart pounding his chest, mind blank. He thought that this was an effect from the amount of alcohol he drank, but he knew that it wasn't. Justin finally noticed what you were wearing, finalising that you were as covered as any guy in this party with jeans and a jacket.
"Maybe. Since i can't complete my dare, might as well teach you to drink anyway." Justin shrugs and eagerly awaits your response.
"You seem sober. Why not." You walk forward with your cup and heat flushes on Justin's cheeks, seeing the way your hips moved and the confidence in your step. He stares down at you as you look back up at him, giving him your cup. Justin pours the pale pink wine into your glass and hands it back to you. Justin's eyes flitter across your face, marvelling at your big (e/c) eyes, adorned with long lashes. Your hair out and casually flowing over your shoulders as (y/f/c) streaks in your hair shone under the light. Your lush lips placed themselves on the edge of the cup as you took a sip, instantly recoiling away from the burn. Justin blinks and breaks away from his trance, quickly snagging another beer and taking big gulps to sooth his racing mind. Justin pants lightly, placing the bottle down and chuckling at your scrunched up face.
"Its not that bad."
"It burns the throat!"
"Thats alcohol for you."
"Its not bad. It really does taste nice but the burn, bleh!" Justin chuckles, his heart racing as he sees your small nose scrunch up cutely.
"Cute." He mumbles.
"What is this anyway?" Justin watches as you take another sip, bigger this time before gulping the rest down.
"Whoa, slow down!" You pour yourself some more, you getting used to the burn. Justin watches in amazement as you down the cup, licking your lips. Justin waits for you to sway and be a little tipsy but is surprised to see you completely coordinated and composed.
"I'm officially declaring this as my favourite wine." You smile, lifting the bottle to read the name. Justin was shocked to not hear you words slurred.
"Are you alright?" Justin watches as you turn to him, confusion in your bright eyes.
"Why wouldn't i be?"
"You may be fine, but that was the fucking strongest wine there is. I know for a fucking fact that people instantly black out from this stuff." Justin watches with awe as you softly nod your head in understanding and no emotion on your face.
"Well, i'm still standing aren't i." You chuckle and Justin's heart pounds from the sweet sound, smiling softly.
"You may just well be born as a fucking strong drinker." Justin chuckles and you grin at him. Justin's breath hitches, his cheeks flushed as the lights softly illuminates your face with a picture perfect smile. Justin drinks his beer as you gulp down another glass of the wine. "Jesus fucking christ. You're a heavy drinker."
"What the fuck am i supposed to do. This shit is amazing!" You chuckle.
"So you haven't had any alcohol?" You nod at Justin's question.
"Well, yes and no. When I was like 16. Mum had a few bottles of red wine, white wine, beer and vodka. Tried all of them. Disgusting I tell you. Never touched it again until now. That stuff was terrible!! They all burned so bad!!" Justin smiles down at you softly, a little shocked to hear that you would drink at such a young age. Justin looks out to see people dancing as the kitchen starts to get more empty.
"You wanna dance?" Justin stutters and you smirk at him.
"Sure. Why not get the full high school experience." You place your glass down and take hold of Justin's hands, dragging him to the dance floor. Justin shivers at the feel of your soft, small hands in his, squeezing it.
You drag him to the middle of the crowd and Justin looks at his empty hand frowning. He looks down at you and a smile braces his face when he sees you swaying to the music. The music thumps through him loudly, his heart following the same rhythm as he sees you being showered with different coloured lights. You smile up at him and grabbing his arm, twirling him on the spot and chuckling. Justin laughs as he watches you embrace the music. Time seems to slow down as Justin watches you having the time of your life, dancing around him and spinning in delight. His heart beats faster seeing your bright smile, your eyes wide with wonder and excitement. Justin grins and grabs your hand, spinning you around and dipping you as you giggle. Justin brings you up to a standing position and dances it with you, twirling you into his arms so he hugged your back. Justin feels your hands placed on top of his around your waist, your head resting on his chest as you break free from his arms and back away playfully.
"Where are you going?" Justin asks, chuckling as he sees you spin and dance away from the crowd.
"Lets go outside." You run out the door to the front yard as Justin follows close behind. He sees you standing straight, arms wrapped around your waist with you head up. He hears you take a deep breath, staring at the twinkling stars. You turn around to see Justin and smile at him, hearing the next song play. You walk down the footpath, dancing along the way, singing the lyrics.
"I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to
When I'm lying close to someone else
You're stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it
If I could do it all again
I know I'd go back to you." Justin follows along behind you, smiling brightly when you wink at him as you turn around to face him before skipping away. Justin decides to follow your lead and sings with you.
"We never got it right
Playing and replaying old conversations
Overthinking every word and I hate it
'Cause it's not me."
And what's the point in hiding?
Everybody knows we got unfinished business
And I'll regret it if I didn't say
This isn't what it could be." Justin catches you by your waist, picking you up and spinning you around before placing you back down. He watches as you start to feel your self, dancing provocatively and threading your hands in your hair. You wink at Justin, a blush on his cheeks.
"You could break my heart in two
But when it heals, it beats for you
I know it's forward, but it's true
I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to
When I'm lying close to someone else
You're stuck in my head and I can't get you out of it
If I could do it all again
I know I'd go back to you." You sang as you ran onto the road and spun around, turning back to Justin a few times and smiling at him. Rain had started to pour down suddenly and Justin quickly ran to you as you continued to dance. You turned to face Justin, your hair and body soaked as well as Justin's but he didn't mind. You smiled up at him and Justin stood closer to you. His hands slowly wrapped around your waist, bringing you closer to him as you placed your hands on his chest. Justin shivered at the feel of your hands slowly dragging up his chest and around his neck as you stood closer to him. Justin stared down at you, seeing something flash in your eyes as he leaned down. You blinked a few times, a pink hue on your cheeks as you leaned up towards Justin. You both noticed the proximity of your bodies, Justin tightening his arms around you before clashing his lips towards your waiting ones. Justin groans at the feel of your soft lips against his, you returning the kiss and deepening it as he tilted his head. Heat emanated from your bodies, a shiver going through the both of you. Justin could feel your heart beating widely and knew you could feel his. He slowly brought a hand up, feeling your side and up your neck before tangling it in your hair. You moan softly and Justin took the chance to slip his tongue past your lips, claiming the wet cavern as his. Justin kisses you more ferociously, his hand squeezing your waist before slowing pulling away. He hears you panting softly, laying your head on his chest. Justin smiles, hugging you close to him, not wanting to let go. Justin feels your heart suddenly slow down and sees you fading away.
"(y/n)!" You look up at him, tears blending with the drops of rain that ran down your face.
"Justin." You whisper softly. Justin unknowingly starts crying as he feels your hand cup his cheeks, your thumb caressing his cheek. He leans into your hand and cups your hand with his. "I love you Justin."
"(Y/n)! NO!" Justin jolts up awake, breathless and shaking in fear. Jessica quickly runs downstairs from her bedroom, hearing Justin shout out in fright. She stops at the bottom of the stairs and sees him crying out into his hands. She sighs sadly as Justin pounds the couch he sat in, hearing him call out the name of the one person he truly loved. Jessica slowly walks back up to her bedroom, not before seeing Justin pull out his phone and stare at his lock screen which Jessica knew was a picture of Justin and (y/n). Justin doesn't notice footsteps fading away as he cries, remembering the first memory he had of (y/n). The first memory of him seeing her and falling in love with her at that party. Justin grips his phone tightly, staring at the person he wishes were here. The one he wishes were next to him right now to wipe his tears away. The one he wishes were still alive.
"(Y/n). I love you."
