Takes place in the first book of my AU Protected.

Situation one:

You are the youngest in your family, technically. When you were very young you were placed in the foster system.

A young cop named Optimus had found you in a bad situation. He kept in contact with you, making sure everything was alright, and soon he adopted you. His youngest just graduated from high school and it's just you and your dad most of the day.

One day you get a call from the hospital. An accident leaves Optimus blind. Ratchet tells you he isn't sure if it's temporary... or permanent.

Currently you're at the hospital as the doctor explains the situation.

Situation two:

You are a secret to the entire world. Not even your father knew about you for your first four years. Your mother hadn't been with him long before she ran out on him, taking you with her. He soon found out and took you back. Everyone at school said your father would just be abusive. He is Megatron after all.

Sure he gets mad if you interrupt his meetings or are disrespectful. But he still does what he can while running the mafia.

One day you're called to the medical area. After a mysterious accident no one can explain, he can no longer hear.
