Berlin was originally a starter Pokemon in Professor Oak's lab, but when he wasn't picked, it did a number on his psyche. He evolved whilst playing with Evelyn.

He can oscillate between sweet and charming, cruel and vicious, and terrified and cowardly in seconds. They usually cycle in that order.

He was born in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia.
