Lýkos
-Character I created for a specific roleplay-
-----------------------------
NAME: Ágria Lýkos, more commonly called Lýkos
OTHER NAMES AND TITLES: The Wild Ranger, Beast Tamer. His name means 'wild wolf'
VISUAL AGE: 22
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Demisexual, demiromantic
PRINCE OF: Hunting, Sport, Patron of the Wilds
PERSONALITY: He's.... wild. He likes the wilderness, hunting, and being out among animals and nature. He is EXTREMELY athletic, as his occupation requires. He is, in a sense, more animal than human, and it really shows in his behavior and sometimes his decision-making. He believes in only humane kills, and always encourages people to use ALL of the animal for something, even if that 'something' is stringing up the intestines for a decoration of sorts. He is very easily outraged by abuse towards animals, and quite honestly thinks animals have a certain sense humans don't, something that makes them better; this is why he surrounds himself with creatures instead of a gaggle of people. He may not speak the language of animals, but he understands them well enough, and they seem to understand him as well, which suits him just fine.
He has a certain moral compass, but is argued to have questionable morals. After all- he is less human and more animal behaviorally. Sometimes people have to explain to him certain things because he just doesn't understand other point of views at times. He doesn't really understand romance, whatsoever. His comment on kissing would be something along the lines of 'I'm supposed to get enjoyment out of pushing my lips into another person's? Isn't it easier just to nuzzle them?' Though he really doesn't think he wants a relationship, he's sort of just waiting for the right person. He's not aware of it, but he likes to be pursued romantically rather than pursuing at times.
In his circle of 'friends'- meaning his animal friends- is a Stag named Lumos, a wolf named Bane, and a wild horse called Danger. He consults these animals before making any very important decisions and takes these three into war at his sides- he trusts them more than anyone or anything else in the world, and they are the only three animals he would be utterly opposed to killing.
APPEARANCE: He's quite small, as that makes it easy for him to get around and hide himself among nature. His form is lithe and strong, and his skin is quite pale from always wearing some sort of hood. His hair is kept long and is nearly as pale as his skin, and he keeps it partially braided back and woven with bits of twigs, leaves, and animal teeth/claws. He has a necklace made of carved animal bones he wears and is quite proud of making, featuring his favorite stag, wolf, and horse. There is also a tiger on the necklace to commemorate his tiger friend who was killed in the war. His clothes are all made to help him camouflage and are made of nature-like components, and he has different sets for different terrains, but mostly he's seen in greens and browns and it's easy to miss him when he's standing still in a forest. Around his eyes are small red feather markings in the shape of wings, one eye being one wing. On each of his fingers he has black dots where the joints are, and along his arms and legs there are small green leaf markings. His eyes are a pale leaf green, and his facial features are sharp and very clean-cut. He usually has a bow with him slung over his shoulder, small silver twin blades attached with a vine-chain in his belt. He's often seen with the stag, horse, and wolf- the stag is a dark dark brown with a white star sort of marking on his head. The horse is the color of fire that shines in the sunlight, and the wolf is the purest white like a fresh blanket of snow, that color only broken by black paws and ear tips. Though he is the Patron of the Wilds, his animal depiction is a large slim wolf with black shaggy fur and tiny white dapples through his pelt. His nose is amusingly rose-colored, and his eyes match his human form. He is not often seen in this form- if he is actually ever seen.
STRENGTHS: He's definitely quite skilled in hunting, trapping, and tracking animals. He truly does know the best way to skin a deer, or properly make the most of whatever is caught, and he is rather stealthy when hunting. His natural predatory instincts make him very aware of his surroundings. He's a very quick runner and takes advantage of his knowledge of natural camouflage. He uses his bow in the daylight, hiding in the trees to snipe any opponent from there.
WEAKNESSES: He is rather impulsive at times, ND his predatory instincts makes it difficult to understand when it's okay to physically or mentally pursue someone. He's guided by morals- though it is often disputed if these morals are good or bad, and he often has to curb his instincts around other humanoid beings due to his more animalistic nature. He is better at melee combat at night when he has the element of surprise, popping out from the shadows, but if he's caught with only his bow he has a more difficult time. He also doesn't really know how to turn his hunting instincts off either.
LIKES: He quite likes animals obviously, and he is a definite meat-lover. He likes the quiet sounds of nature, and he finds the sound of a summer thunderstorm to be very comforting. He also likes to make fun of humanoid creatures when possible. He loves to hunt and stalked things and spend time with his most trusted animals.
DISLIKES: He Dislikes animals being tortured, and he also very much dislikes spending too much time around other people and princes. He likes the story of Namarach's escape, as it teaches that no prison or trap is truly inescapable. He has a deep-seated hatred for Solaris for trying to tame the world to her liking- even he knows that man cannot be tamed by any one person.
BACKSTORY/LORE: Lýkos really doesn't know where he came from, and is unaware of his godly heritage- he just knows that he came from a divine bloodline. He always says that the Wilds birthed him, he was given to the wolves as a gift from the other Princes for being such honorable and fierce creatures. He was raised in the Wilds and assorted wildernesses, learning the ways of all the animals and the environment around him. He sort of just became a legend in his home forest, and is worshiped by hunters and trappers as it is said that leaving him the best piece of meat as an offering at his temple will grant extra dexterity, agility, and luck when on a hunting trip.
