Carson Reed

^If he let his hair grow out and had been in the sun a bunch

Name: Carson Reed
Alter Ego: Haunter
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Sexuality: Straight
Powers: Density control (picnokinesis), phasing
Personality: He's overprotective of his family, especially his little sister. He overthinks things and is pretty stubborn. He tries to be a bad guy, but he draws lines that he won't cross everywhere. The worst things he ever did were on accident (kîlling three police officers with his powers). He doesn't just steal from everyone, only the rich people with old money and things that don't have much sentimental value.
Backstory: Carson was homeschooled until his family started having financial problems. That's when he started thieving, robbing jewelry stores and such.
Looks: Black hair, blueish gray eyes, average height, not buff, but average strength for a person. Button nose
Suit: Charcoal colored suit designed for stealth. It's faux leather and is designed closer to a jacket and cargo pants with multiple pockets. He also wears leather gloves and combat boots. He has a dark gray motorcyclist style helmet with a coal colored mask underneath.
Weapon: throwing knives, knives (they're more like daggers, but whatever)

-Was a Boy Scout
-Doesn't like having his suit messed with
-can't stand it when people look over his shoulder
-power overuse= dizziness and throwing up
-Blood type= O-
-Peanut allergy = hives, rashes, hospitalization
-secretly donates to cancer funds
-had a gray cat named Watson
-can't paint
-loves drawing
-stubborn
-likes pranks
-secretive, but slowly opening up
-despises squirrels (because they attacked him in the park once)
-discovered his sister, Cara Patricia Reed's, powers when his dad was having trouble breathing
-Can't stand being barefoot
-Laughter is extremely contagious to him
-He is afraid of being in hot air balloons way up in the air. One slip of his powers and there goes everyone!
-Ghost puns
-May fall through a wall when scared or surprised
-Pictionary is his favorite game
-Likes Battleship
-history buff
-geek
-likes drawing ships
-overprotective of animals
-Middle name is James
-Can make objects float by making them less dense than air, but that really knocks the wind out of him. (Possibly because it gets close to a white hole phase)
-<Ⓗ> is as close to his symbol as you can get with text. If you disassemble it, you get the word 'how' or 'who' in caps.
-His dad's name is Jake, he was a chiropractor until he got lung cancer
-"Try public schooling, they said. It'll be great, they said."
-possible hero name Rhoden/Rho

"You don't know my past personal life. No one at school would either, but if they did, then they were stalkers. I was homeschooled. I hung out with an entirely different crowd. I had a girlfriend." He smiled a little at the memories, but it faded quickly. "But then everything soured. My friends' and my girlfriend's parents got in a fight with mine. They didn't want to be associated with a family who was at risk of losing everything. It would "ruin" their reputation. They didn't care about the reasons. My girlfriend's parents made her break up with me. They changed her phone number and everything. Then my friend's numbers followed. Their parents blocked my family on social media. After we moved, everything flipped. I lost contact with my once-friends and I became Haunter. The first thing I did? Well, their dogs knew me well, so I just scrambled the dogs to different homes while they were out of town. Confuse, don't abuse."

So, I had an idea for a character whose powers were density manipulation and phasing, mainly for himself, that allows him to pass through solid objects or make solid objects pass through things. Those solid objects he can control the density of would not include humans, obviously, and that's a big weakness for him because he can't phase through people and vice versa. It hurts how he can help too but that's better shown through example. He'd be able to make bullets go through people without causing any harm, which would be a godsend in hostage situations, and he could potentially save people under broken buildings by changing the density of something in just the right amount of space that they can slip out if they're pinned, but if he slips up, the whole thing could come down. Meanwhile, if he could control the density of people (which he can't), he would be able to just slip their pinned limb out rather than upset the stability of an already precarious form. In addition, effectiveness would weaken with distance, so he could only properly manipulate things within a certain area around him. If he wanted to phase through something, he'd have to hold his breath, because if he breathed in, when he came out the other side, his lungs could be filled with cement. In order to be able to change the density of an object though, he'd have to have a decent idea of the density of the object. Which can act as a sort of sight/X-ray vision for implants and stuff hidden in walls and just so he doesn't walk through a wall only to crack his head open on a pipeline. Gold and Platinum are the most dense substances. He would not be able to control them and, if he ever came face to face with King Midas's mansion, he'd be powerless. Helium is one of the least dense substances. Just being around a high (50%) concentration of it in an area would make him dizzy or give him a headache.
