Backstory: Jack barley knew his parents as a kid but knew that his mom was a amazing singer and great on the guitar. When he moved out of his house at 18, he started working at a tavern called the Thorned Rose and fell in love with a tiefling name Damien that he met on a full moon months after he first worked at the tavern. Everything was going great for the two and on the anniversary of when they first met, Damien gave him a green moonstone necklace in the shape of a crescent moon and a beautiful wooden violin with the words "I will always love you my little emerald Love Damien" written in the back of it. One night while the two were sleeping though, a group of bandits took over the tavern and attacked the two. Damien tried to use his magic to back them off and told Jack to run and never look back. Jack ran and soon came back to the tavern burned to the ground and Damien nowhere to be found. Because of this, Jack swore to never run away when the people that he loves are in danger and to help other people who needs it. He still works at different taverns and even learned from a old Druid friend how to speak to animals in case he needs their help later in his life.
