"AHHHH!!" A loud screech was heard throughout the small village of Phoenix Drop.

"Laurence, Dante! That sounded near the docks! Let's go!" A blonde guard shouted as he, Garroth, a brunette, Laurence, and a bluenette, Dante, grabbed their weapons and ran for the docks.

As the 3 guards reach a split in the road, Laurence shouted "I'll get Aphmau, you 2 get to that scream!" No words were needed to be said as Laurence split off to go up a small hill to the Lord's house.

"Dante, draw your katanas. We don't know if there are O'Khasis guards there."

"Right!"

"Help me... Please....!" The voice sounded once again.

Garroth and Dante didn't slow their pace until they were next to the source of the sound. A young girl with (H/L), (H/C) hair. She had (S/C) skin and her eyes were a dazzling shade of (E/C).

"Hey, who are you and why were you screaming?!" Dante asked.

"I-I'm so sorry!! I was on my small boat looking for a village to stay for a bit when I was... attacked by a large ship of the O'khasis and I was shot with a poisoned arrow... It-it only started taking affect when I managed to drag myself onto this shore..." The girl began sobbing, clutching her side as blood began to seep through her already wet shirt.

"Garroth! Dante! What happened!?" Aphmau shouted as she and Laurence ran down the steps to the dock.

"Lord Aphmau, this girl states that she was attacked by a O'khasis ship in the middle of the sea. She was hit with a poisoned arrow and the effects began to take affect when she reached shore."

"What?! Let's help her, now!"

"But, Lord Aphmau..."

"That is an order, Garroth. Garroth, go tell Kiki that we need to use the barn to help this girl! Dante, Laurence you two carry her to the barn!"

"Yes, m'lady," Garroth stated as he gave a slight bow and ran off.

"Alright, Aph! Come on, Dante! Let's do this!"

"Right!"

~*Time Skip*~

"Wh-what..? Wh-who are you...?" The girl asked once she opened her eyes to a slightly unfamiliar person, although more a suite of armor, and in unfamiliar place.

"I'm Garroth. The head guard of the village you are in right now, Phoenix Drop . You arrived here an hour ago, washed up and claiming that you were attacked by an O'khasis ship."

"Yes... Th-that's right..."

"Now tell me, who are you? And who, what, or where you were sailing away from?" Garroth asks, casually leaning on a nearby wall.

"I-I'm (Y/N) (L/N) from (K/N). I'm running from.. From O'khasis... From Zane... From my arranged marriage..." (Y/N) states as Garroth's eyes widen in shock.

"You were going to be wed... To... To Zane...?"

"As sad as it is, yes. That mad-man wants me for my power..."

"Power?"

"Yes, my father is Ruler of the (K/N) Kingdom, and I am the second eldest daughter. My elder sister has already been wed to another Kingdom's eldest son. The Lord of O'khasis and my father wish to unite our Kingdoms in an everlasting alliance... So Zane and I were going to be wed to do just that..."

"I actually had the same problem, you know..." Garroth states after a moment of silence. "I'm... I'm actually Zane's older brother... I was to marry Nicole of Scaleswind to unite our Kingdoms, O'khasis and Scaleswind. I ran away to avoid being wed to a person I do not love, as it seems did you as well."

(Y/N) looked at Garroth with a look of sadness and knowing. "I guess we're in the similar boats, aren't we, Garroth?"

"Yes, yes we are."

"Garroth! Laurence told me that the girl woke up!" Aphmau shouted as she walked into the barn, Laurence and Dante trailing right behind her.

"Yes, m'lord. This is (Y/N) (L/N) of (K/N)."

"Nice to meet you! I'm Aphmau, the Lord of Phoenix Drop! This is..." As introductions continued, (Y/N) and Garroth spared a glance towards one another.

Garroth slips off his helm, unnoticed, and smiles warmly at (Y/N), whom smiles back with the same amount of warmth.

Who knows how a hurt girl and a head guard would go on with their lives. For all we know, they lived forever on. Happily and peacefully.

I know all you Garmau fans will be raging at me for breaking Garroth and Aphmau apart, but trust me. It actually hurt to make Garroth not be into Jess. #Garmau4life
