kellen is a smart-ass with a heart. that would probably be the best way to describe him. he's very guarded, often shielding this trait with smart-ass comments and sarcastic replies. he also uses hook ups and make outs as a distraction from what he can't have, or what he thinks he can't have. only since attending the royals academy has he started this practice however.

despite this hard first layer, kellen is essentially a puppy dog. he has a massive heart that's been covered in concrete to prevent him falling for anyone. this is his way of protecting them, protecting his friends and family. protecting a female he can't hurt a second time. the harshness that covers his feelings makes him cold to many people when they meet him, making them stay away from the start. of course there are odd occasions where you could catch him in a good mood and he'll let you see a glimpse of what he is truely like; what he was like before his abilities arrived.

protective is another word for this broken male, something people would definitely disagree with. he will protect you with his life, and if he's the threat? he'll remove himself from your life while also leaving something that will protect you from other dangers in his absence.

kellen has a dark side as well, the side of his jinn demon. a sadistic and disturbed side that enjoys the snap of a neck, the crunch of a crushed hand and the ping as a tendon is pulled taut and broken. he thrives on it. you won't see this side unless his appearance changes, but when it does, you better disappear because he won't change back until he's either killed enough to release the anger or stress that made him change, or until he's killed the person in which made him change in the first place. this doesn't mean he'll spare anyone in view. not generally. there have been only few occasions where he stays hidden from other beings who have done him no harm, but like said before, they are rare and few. don't mistake this monster for the true kellen as when he wakes up in his human form, what he done beforehand was nothing but a blank space.

kellen grew up with only his mother, a lower class demon than his father but not by much. his father left, or got killed, when he was only a baby. he didn't have his abilities until he was twelve (12), couldn't control them when he first got them. it wasn't like some movies where you get few to one ability or power at a time. kellen got them all in one go. he woke hours later, covered in blood and went home to an empty house. whether his mother ran or he killed her, he wasn't sure though he has always thought he killed her and since then he hasn't wanted to use them.

fast forward a couple years and he meets a female that he falls for and who falls for him as well. by then, fifteen (15), he's learnt to hide and lock his abilities away. he thinks it's safe. he was wrong. in a moment of heightened emotions, kellen's demon side escapes, possessing his first love and making her perform acts that damn her to hell. he wakes up to find her gone, no memory of what occurred and heartbroken when he finds out she was in hell. now, since sixteen (16), kellen has attended an academy for supernatural royals and high rankers, guards and assassins, or for people like him who are too dangerous to live without training and education.
