a witch older than most would believe with her young looks and quick wit. despite this however, she still has an old-fashioned sense to her with finding a lady swearing much of a disgrace. She won't say anything if a female were to swear, but the disapproval on her face is enough of a giveaway and shes not afraid to show it. she tends to act like a mother hen at times, taking care of those that need it and haven't deserved the bad things thrown upon them. while other time, esme is much like a teenager, stubborn, argumentative, and thinking shes always right. now, while most of the time she is, this doesn't necessarily mean it's appropriate to point it out and make a big deal from it. due to a high pain tolerance, she often views others as 'weak human mortals' when they whinge about being shot in the leg, or bitten on the shoulder. she doesn't have a filter in this sense, quite often just saying whatever comes into her mind even if it's viewed as rude to the new millenials. she believes they need to learn what it was like when she was a child and being nearly burned at the stake for being a witch, luckily she wasn't, at the expense of her best friend. these actions have left her with a sour tongue and heart, finding it hard to care for anyone in the way a normal human can. she doesn't like becoming attached, and nor does she like feeling emotions that cause burning tears to fall from her eyes.

esme has an extremely long history, filled with sadness, heartbreak, and yes, love. she's experienced a lot of pain, which has formed her into who she is in this day and age. her parents were killed when assumed to have conceived a witch as a child for fear of them conceiving more, or for the fact that they may be witches/warlocks as well. most of the friends she had as a child were either killed or left her because of the fact she was a witch. it's a surprise she hasn't come to despise being a witch. over the years she travelled many places, running from those that hunted her kind. she was soon able to blend in with the humans, learning masking spells that could deter anyone from noticing her performing magic. she also wears a lot of jewelry which has been charmed and does the same thing to mask any magic she does or gives off.
