How did you learn all of your languages?

Let's see......... The languages I know are English, Hebrew, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, French, Pashto, German, Italian, ASL, and Russian. I learned Hebrew by default. It was my first language and we are Jewish, so it just makes sense that that was my first language. Russian was my second language. I learned most of my languages from living abroad. I learned ASL because my best friend is deaf and because we tend to deal with deaf suspects quite a bit.
