Sam Fitzgerald

Sam Fitzgerald saw the world differently through those bright hazel eyes of his. They weren't like a typical hazel eyes ,but as he considered them bipolar hazel, because the mint green that surroned his pupil was in contrast to chocolate brown that filled the rest of his eyes. His best friend Jonas Aaron was reminded of mint chocolate fudge when he looked into his friend's ungluie eyes. Sam was fifth teen now ,and things had changed a lot in past year. Normal things had changed of course like the growth of his wavy this dirty blonde hair, and he had grown a inch from being five foot three last year now to being five foot four. Still short but progress was progress anyway, but the major thing that had changed was the loss of his best friend Jonas Aaron. Jonas hadn't died ,but he was gone now , and Sam didn't know what to make of the situation of where his best friend since the fourth grade had just suddenly disappeared from his life. Sometimes Sam would get flashbacks of what happened to his short statured friend. One flashback was of him ,and Jonas walking up a snowing hill. The snow wqs constantly falling like the sky was mad at the two teenage boys, and the snow came up to there ankles. Another memory was of Jonas bright blue eyes getting all the brighter as he cried in grief, and then the rest was blank after that all Sam could remember was one day he open his beautiful eyes ,and awoke in his bed with barely any memory of what had happened in the past year. He knew it involved his friend's disappearance ,but that was it, and for a boy like Sam Fitzgareld who you could tell when you looked into his eyes that he was a stubborn boy. This bothered him. There was only one thing that gave Sam any hint to the past year it was a letter.

Sam,
I know you must be very confused by now, and maybe angry. That blond head of hair of yours sometimes reminds me of your personality when the wind blows it around like a flame. How your a hot head is what I mean. You know I know it there's no denying that. Your one of the most stubborn hotheaded people I know, but you also the most loyal people in the whole world. Those tendencies worry me about you, but I know someday you'll make a women vary happy. You loyal to a fault (One that has almost gotten you killed a few times), you would do anything for anyone, how you've keep on finding the light of joy even in the darkest of nights. I'm going to miss you, but I have to stay here, so I guess I am just writing this to simply say thank you. Thank Sam for everything. There aren't many out there like you , and I'm glad that you are my friend. I wish everyone would be lucky enough to have a friend like you ,but there not, and I was. I don't know what I did to deserve it ,but all I can say now is thank you.
Sincerely,
Jonas Aaron
Now as Sam stared into the bathroom mirror. His mine had drifted off to the thoughts about Jonas, but now it was back to reality. Sam stared at the boy staring back him. The pale boy looked slightly more like his Irish father Wendell then his Italian mother Lillian. The mint green in his eyes was like his father ,and the brown was just slightly lest darker then his mother's. It was like when his DNA was deciding his eye color it just simply couldn't decide between the green, and brown so he got both. Just above Sam's eyebrow's his dirty blonde bangs fell upon his face. Sam looked like a mixture between his parents his mom had brown hair his dad had blonde ,so there first born son got dirty blonde, but after taking biology at school Sam had learned that wasn't how it happened. There was a way more complicated process to how he got his physical characteristics, and then suddenly as Sam stared back at himself in the mirror everything that had happened in the past year that Sam had forgotten in the past year came flooding back into his memory. Like a raging river he remembered everything that had happened to him,and Jonas and what finally happened that lead to Jonas's disappearance. It shocked Sam at first when the memories and all those emotions flooded his mind, but then after that. A simile finally came upon his lips. He was very glad he had remembered everything. Even though the emotions that came along were sometimes filled with sadness, and grief, but Sam rather live with truth and know the sadness then live in ignorance ,and have bliss, and in the future that would become a motto of his. "Better know the truth and be sad then live in ignorance" his future son TJ would someday quote that saying of his father at Sam's funereal. That's Sam Fitzgerald for you. Take him as stubborn, take him as hotheaded, but he will alway be remembered as the most loyal friend in the world. That's many bright eyes like Jonas's saw him as. In the year's of Sam's life to come many who came in contact with him many found to be fond of him,and even though Sam didn't accomplish much in his life of ninety - seven years of life all he did was own a auto repair center ,and he did write a book ,but it was never published. Sam Fitzgerald's life did matter very much to all he came in contact with ,and his friendships he was loyal to the end with. He definitely made his life count somewhat in more ways then other men who society viewed as successful. The soul of Sam Robert Fitzgerald that shone through his hazel eyes was definitely worth knowing.
