Characters are so uncooperative, don't you agree?

Well that is before we get to know them of course. And if you have written a story before (or even if you haven't, and by the way, welcome aboard!) you will know that character don't always reveal themselves easily.

Sometimes you characters unwillingness to be shown just make's you want to throw the towel in and just give up on the story, but don't give up.

Characters can be very sneaky.

You also might know as a writer that there are many different way's to come up with characters. and these three lovelies are either the blossoms of our dreams, our ticket down to hell's doors.

1. The Golden Goose: Some characters are born in the fires of our imagination. Burning so brightly they refuse to be pit out, they demand a story, a life.

2. The Premade Pests: These characters come with the story, they just slide in and you barley even know why, or how, they got there, but if they weren't there it would be down right wrong. These characters are sturdy, concrete as statues.

3.Grave Diggers: Last, but certainly not least, the characters we have to dig for. These are the characters we writers spend day's (or even years) trying to figure out, desperately trying to fill out character questionnaires and looking up every type of name possible until our eye's are drying in our sockets, and in the end your so frustrated you never want to write again (or so you say) because characters are just so down right uncooperative.

Now this book is to help you with those three character types and everything in between. Because even is your character is a golden goose you still might be clueless as to what they most fear, And For a home-stuck character you might know nothing about them except that they collect panda teddy bears and wear flip flops all year long!
