Undeath
Long ago, the horrid entities of the undead were held back by the Goddess of Life. Knowing that even she will face death soon, as death is an inevitable part of life, she gives birth to one hundred children. The Children of Life. They kept their mother's legacy, spreading across the lands as to keep the undead and demonic forces at bay. However, one such king, a human man, had grown a taste for life. Making a deal with a demon, one that reeked of the undead, he gathered the Children of Life to his kingdom in a celebration of their alliance. Once alone in the dining hall, he took a monstrous form, the icon of gluttony, and devoured all but one of the children. After witnessing the death of his brothers and sisters, the last child hid away, allowing the undead to begin their slow corruption of the lands, claiming them as their own. To combat this threat, the Last of Life made a deal with Death himself and allied with the rebelling kingdom against the Gluttonous King, the Kingdom of the Silver Crescent. With his powerful warriors, the Reapers, and the warriors of Queen Fizza, their war waged on.
Still, the forces of the undead were too numerous and powerful, so Death took it upon himself to create his own warrior. A warrior destined to be the leader of the Reapers, one who would claim the power of Death himself. Chosen with the broken black blade, this young man will be the champion of the Reapers...and will be known....as He Who Wields Death.
The Order
Amos, He Who Wields Death
Originally starting as a Reaper, Amos was considered the most upbeat and cheerful amongst his comrades. Despite their duty to battle the undead, he always made sure to make his allies days brighter and that they remained safe. That all changed after he was chosen by Death himself to be his champion due to his willpower. He was given Death's Blade, a broken sword with a silver handle and a black blade. Only upon stabbing himself with the blade can he wield Death's power, just for a short period as to not ruin his soul. Time after time he was sent to face the harshest of battles, with only him surviving as his comrades fell around him. This turned the once cheerful man into a disheveled human. Still, he fights on, no matter how tough or impossible the task may seem, he fights on for that is his duty. In the war for the natural balance of life and death, if he were to fall, then they may all fall.
Appearance: a tired gaze emanating from his blue eyes, black hair that's long and disheveled, slightly pale skin, a black set of light armor with the metal being silver, a long sword scabbard draped on his back, a smaller scabbard located behind his back, if one were to see him shirtless, they would see a faded scar right between his ribcage and stomach.
The Reapers
Chosen warriors by the Last of Life, these are humans who have gone through the most difficult of training and imbued with magic to become near superhuman in nature. They are given weapons blessed by magic and created by Queen Fizza's greatest blacksmiths. They fight alongside the regular soldiers and warriors of the remaining standing kingdoms. Despite this, their numbers have been slowly dwindling as the war continues, and the number of recruits has drastically dwindled....
Ayla, the Silver Blade
What was once one of the most powerful Reapers, Ayla was infected by a disease given from one of the undead enemies. Her body having rotted away, yet she still wished to fight to protect the ones she loved. Because of this, she was given a special made set of armor, its magic allowing her to move more quickly and become more powerful than she has before. Gifted by Queen Fizza herself, she quickly rose to the ranks of the highest of Fizza's Moon Knights, using magic from the moon itself. However, the armor takes time to repair whenever she gets damaged, and her full potential is only unleashed when the moon is visible. She is afraid that if she shows her true self, people will see her as a monster...but her closest friend Amos will always be by her side.
Appearance: Adorned in the magical armor, covering her entire body minus the lower part of her face where the back of her head allows her black hair to flow freely. The armor is a dark blue in color, holding silver markings that twirled around her legs and arms. Her armored chest holding a symbol of the crescent moon. Outside of her armor, her body is limbless and her veins black. The veins reaching nearly half her body, where it's covered by wrappings blessed by the mages of life magic.
Ankur, the Last of Life
The lone survivor of the massacre of his siblings, Ankur holds the last chance that order may still be restored to the lands. Still holding onto the essence of life, as he is a direct descendant of his mother, he is the one who began the army of Reapers and made the deal with Death in order to create an ultimate warrior. He is immensely friendly to any being of life, yet his rage is that of an inferno once with the forces of the undead. While he is wisest of the forces of Order, that does not mean he is a pushover. While not as well versed in combat as his fallen siblings are, Ankur will answer the call of battle, if need be, revealing the true power of the god. However, he too is plagued by a disease crafted by the Gluttonous King himself, which is slowly draining his essence away. He must win this war at all costs before he falls....
Appearance: Standing at 10ft tall, with a set of golden hair flowing down to his back, Ankur is the true appearance of a god for the parts that he does show. His skin is pure, and his aura brings nothing but a warmth to those who are his allies, and a burning sting to his enemies. He is mostly adorned in white robes with golden flower markings, but when in battle he will switch to his golden and silver armor. However, the right side of his chest shows his veins are black from the disease sickened onto him, which he covers up at all times as to not let his followers be worried.
Queen Fizza
One of the last bastions for the human kingdoms, she was saved by Ankur and his forces once an undead horde broke down her castle walls. She is a kind yet noble woman, who is willing to put up tough decisions in order for the survival of her and her allies. Fizza is one of the humans who managed to weaponize the moon itself, using its rays and cold magic as a form of attack and defense. She herself once led an elite force of soldiers known as the Moon Knights, whom she knights herself. Despite this demeanor, she is still a troubled woman worn down by the weight of this war and the coming of a new child. Ankur, her husband, trusts her and she will do everything to make sure he never regrets this trust.
Appearance: pale skin as white as the moon, her dark blue eyes and flowing black hair are enchanting. Mainly wears a set of royal blue and black robes, as well as a crown of silver and a dark blue gem in the top. When in battle, she wears light armor and wields a staff that is able to conjure moon magic due to the crystal on top, yet also wields a sickle like blade for close combat.
Death
A primordial being who has been around ever since the Goddess of Life walked the lands. While being the aspect of a force that takes life, Death is not an evil entity. He believes in order, and order must be attained by the balance of life and death itself. He loathes the undead as they are a direct violation of this order, thus he accepted Ankur's offer. His power shall be given to one whom he sees fit to wield his strength, being gifted the title of "He Who Wields Death." While he is not seen much, his power that seeps from his blade gives a glimpse of what his true form is, a collection of red and black energy that draws power from one's own soul.
The Forces of UnDeath
The Gluttonous King
What was once a regal and noble lord, one whom his people cherished in high regard, slowly fell to corruption once he began to look deeper into the meaning of life itself. How everything must hold a balance between life and death, a balance he was afraid would negate the concept of free will itself. During this time, he was being influenced by a dark presence, a demonic force that whispered into his ear. His staff, holding an ancient curse from the very time the Goddess of Life walked the earth. The presence corrupted him, turning his state of mind into that of a greedy beast. Thus, he enacted his plan, and in one fell swoop, devoured nearly all the children of life after taking a monstrous form. This allowed the presence of order to be dwindled, and the undead began to take their hold over the lands. Those who fell against him were turned into undead spawns and their nobles turned into abominations.
Appearance: A hulking, gigantic mass of black flesh covered by golden robes. Everything that was once human about him was discarded and replaced as this serpentine like creature. The only human thing about him are the massive arms that spray all across his body, allowing him to move. His head is now nothing but a massive hole, which a set of mangled and massive teeth protrude out once he is to feed.
The Kings Black Knights
Massive, hulking black knights wielding only the most damaging of weaponry. These beasts are undead heroes, their forms mutated by dark magic to become the perfect guards. However, they will also be leaders for the hordes of undead, being their guiders as to perform the most amount of damage possible. If you want to truly turn the tides of the battle, cut off the serpent's head, the Black Knights head to be certain.
The Crooked Angels
While noble in appearance, these creatures hold a terrifying truth to them. Being the regurgitated and stitched together remains of Ankur's siblings, molded and having their corpses possessed by dark spirits and turned into the perfect killing machines. Their bodies are held by wrappings, allowing their eerie nature and movement. These are the perfect warriors for the forces of UnDeath, as everything they do is unpredictable. The husks wield the strangest combinations of weaponry and hold even stranger fighting styles. The only ones who are capable of fighting them head on is He Who Wields Death and the Silver Blade.
Appearance: Their grotesque bodies are covered by golden and white clothing, almost as if mocking Ankur by dressing them as his dead family. These designs are different for every one of the 99 warriors, with strange changes to fight their odd styles and weaponry.
