Duchess Satine is the duchess of Mandalore. A neutral system during the Clone Wars. She was a pacifist, and was against all kinds of fighting.
Even though Satine did not fight in the war, she was accused of being part of the separatists alliance.
In her younger days she called upon the Jedi order to help her bring her world to peace during a civil war that almost wiped out Her people. Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi were dispatched to help the young duchess.

During the extended mission Kenobi begun to grow feelings for the duchess and they soon fell in love. Swearing he would one day return Kenobi went back to his life as a Jedi.

Years later he returned and told the duchess he could no longer hide his love for her........

and he told Jedi master Yoda and begged him for his help. Yoda found a way for them to be together, and a way for Obi-Wan to continue to be a Jedi Master.
