||Chapter 33||
-Author's POV-
A soft vibrating sound awakens Cheryl from her deep slumber. She squints at the harsh sunlight skidding it's way through the large windows.
"Kimba," She grumbles and gives her a shove. "Baby your phone."
Kimberley grunts and turns away from her, obviously too exhausted to reply.
Cheryl groans and reaches over for her wife's iPhone.
She answers the call straightaway.
"Hello?" She rasps.
"Kimba?" Comes the angelic voice. "Kimba where are you? The girls said you'd be here before ten-" Cheryl pulls the phone away from her ear and checks the caller I.D.
Maddy👸🏽
"Madison?" Cheryl asks with a squeaked whisper, "Is that you?"
"Kimba?"
"No its Ch-" The phone call comes to an end.
She looks at the blackened screen with a frown, her eyes avert back to Kimberley who's still sleeping away.
"Kimberley." Cheryl grits her teeth and gives her a rough shove. "Get. Up."
"Go away Cheryl" The blonde groans and covers herself with the duvet.
Cheryl's rage bubbles quickly. She throws the white iPhone at Kimberley and stands to her feet.
"GET UP!" The Geordie screams and whips the duvet right off her naked wife.
"What the fcuk man!?" Kimberley snaps, "What the fcuk is your problem this morning-"
"You fcuking piece of sh*t!" Cheryl grits, "You liar!"
"Okay first of all," Kimberley rolls her eyes and sits up against the headboard, "Calm down."
"Don't tell us what to fcuking do!" Cheryl takes deep breathes, her jaw bulges out with anger.
"Second of all," Kimberley knew exactly how to wind up her wife. She could never take the Geordie seriously when she was naked. "If you want to have a fight this morning, at least let me have my coffee first." She climbs off the bed and picks up her phone that lies haphazardly on the ground.
"What's my phone doing here?" She frowns.
"Why don't you check your last fcuking call you shady b*tch!" Kimberley narrows her eyes at the Geordie and looks at her call log.
Her heart drops at the last call.
"Right," She clears her throat and sets the phone back on her bedside table.
"Right?! What the fcuk do you mean by right!!!" Cheryl shouts; she follows the blonde's trail.
Kimberley sighs and rummages through her side of the closet for something to cover up her modesty.
"I'm talking to you!"
"No," Kimberley throws on a t-shirt, "You're shouting. Once you've calmed down we can have a proper conversation-"
"I want to talk right now!" Cheryl demands.
Kimberley looks her wife from head to toe; she licks her lips at the angry Geordie.
"Well, you better put some clothes on.. You're looking quite edible with that temper-"
"GET OUT!" Cheryl snaps, she gives the laughing blonde a shove out of the closet and slams the door shut. "ARGH!"
Kimberley shakes her head at the temper headed Geordie and exits the bedroom. She gives Cheryl the space she needed to collect herself.
She gets lost in her thoughts; and she ponders what Madison had called for. She smiles with just the thought of the teen calling her, god did she love her.
Leaning back against the kitchen counter she loses her present world for a moment, the images of Madison waking up with them, eating with them, and living with them invades her completely.
My Madison.
Cheryl's stomping steps bring her back to reality.
"If you're going to act like a child then I won't be having this conversation with you." Kimberley rolls her eyes and turns around to flick the kettle on.
"You're the one keeping secrets from your wife-"
"It's not a bloody secret-"
"Why is Madison calling you and asking where you are!?" Cheryl balls her fingers up into a tight fist.
Kimberley sighs and turns back around to look at Cheryl properly.
"She's been coming to the bakery-"
"What in the fcuk!?" Cheryl scuff, "This counts as cheating! You've been unfaithful to us-"
"Are you okay in the fcuking head!?" Kimberley laughs with shock, "She had accidently walked into my bakery-"
"When?" Cheryl taps her foot, "When the fcuk did she come into your shop!?" her hands wrap tightly around her chest, and Kimberley did all she could to hold back her laughter.
She's fcuking driving me mad!
"About two days ago-"
"TWO DAYS! TWO FCUKING DAYS!?" Cheryl screams.
"That's what I said-"
"How could you not tell us this? After everything I told you.. How hurt I was.. I thought you loved us-"
"Don't play those fcuking cards on me right now!" Kimberley hisses, she aggressively turns off the kettle and walks over to a fuming Cheryl.
She tugs the Geordie by her wrists and forces their eyes to meet.
"Are you going to listen to me or-"
"You're a liar." Cheryl whispers, "You lied to us."
"I didn't fcuking lie to you!" Kimberley forces her temper to stay intact. "If you don't want to listen then fcuk it! I wont waste my time.. I have to go to work anyways." She releases Cheryl's wrists and begins her walk out of the kitchen.
"Why are you so eager to leave?! Huh!? Because you want to go see Madison!? Is that why!!?" Cheryl follows her with shouting questions.
"Yeah, you caught me." Kimberley rolls her eyes, she stops at the first step of the stairs and addresses her wife with authority.
"Just so you know," She begins, "I was able to convince her to get those fcuking tests you wanted so badly."
Cheryl gulps.
"But seeing as your crazy head doesn't want to listen to a single word-"
"I didn't say that-"
"You didn't have to say it," Kimberley sighs. "I understand I kept this from you, but Madison didn't want me to tell you-"
"I'm you wife," Cheryl hiccups, "I-I'm supposed to come before anyone else."
The blonde crumbles to the Geordie's broken tone. She walks back down the steps and pulls her into a cuddle.
Cheryl instantly melts into her arms.
"I'm supposed-supposed to come before anyone or any-anything." She repeats through her cries.
"Alright shhh, baby you have to understand the situation I was put in." Kimberley slightly pulls away, her hand gingerly cradles Cheryl's face.
"I-I don't under-understand." She cries hysterically.
Kimberley's heart breaks at the sight.
She's quick to wipe every fallen tear with delicate fingers.
"Will you let me explain?" The blonde whispers sweetly, "I'll tell you everything you want to know."
Cheryl nods and allows her wife to lead them into the front room.
"C'mere." Kimberley tries to pull the Geordie down onto her lap, but Cheryl makes space between them on the large sofa.
"Fine here," She sniffs. "Tell us what happened."
Kimberley sighs softly, and runs her fingers through her honey locks.
"She came into my shop about two days ago, she didn't even know it was my shop." Kimberley begins to explain. She can see every broken emotion through Cheryl's exposed brown orbs.
"We ended up having some cakes and she spent the entire afternoon there," The blonde shrugs. "She came yesterday as well and spent the day with me."
Cheryl's heart breaks further.
"Why didn't you tell us." She asks, her voice breaking along with her heart.
"She told me not to.. She had me promise. Baby, she was crying at the fact nobody ever allowed her to choose what she wanted, I told her I was going to tell you, and then she started going on about how it was never her choice, and that nobody ever let her have a say-"
"You could have still told us." Cheryl stubbornly says.
"She wouldn't have come back, she said if I did tell you.. Then she wouldn't visit anymore-"
"So?"
"So?" Kimberley frowns, "I convinced her to get the bloody tests done, I don't understand what bad I've done?"
"You lied to us, that's what you did wrong." Cheryl stands to her feet.
"You're so fcuking stubborn!" Kimberley's quick to stand to her feet as well, "You're a temperamental cow!" She walks past the Geordie and returns her earlier route up the stairs.
"Don't call us a fcuking tempermental cow you jerk!" Cheryl follows behind.
"I don't want to speak to you until you start acting like a thirty year old woman!" Kimberley snaps.
"Only if you start acting like a truthful wife you liar!" The blonde contains her anger; she busies herself with her outfit. She didn't want to snap and say the wrong thing.
Kimberley sighs and ties her hair up into a short ponytail.
"So?" Cheryl follows her around, "You're just going to get dressed and fcuk off?!"
"No," Kimberley ties her shoes, "I'm going to get dressed, and go to work." She smiles sarcastically; with another rolling of the eyes she exits the walk-in-closet and grabs her phone.
"I'm mad at you!" Cheryl reminds her, "You're not supposed to leave without comforting us!" She goes on.
Kimberley groans, she's completely ignoring her wife. She was in no mood for this confrontation, although she knew it was her fault, she just didn't want to argue this early.
Cheryl taps her foot and clenches her teeth as she watches Kimberley spurt perfume on.
"Well?" Her voice sounds again. "You're leaving?"
Again, Kimberley stays quiet and walks past the Geordie.
"Kimberley!" Cheryl snaps, she runs down the stairs and catches the blonde just before she walks out of the house.
"You can't just leave us," The brown orbs get Kimberley to crumble with just one look. "You promised to never leave us upset-"
"You're acting like a child-"
"I am a child," Cheryl whispers, her hands grasp tightly to the blondes forearm. "I'm your baby remember?" She sniffs.
"You're not supposed to lie to your baby." She adds with another sniff.
"I didn't lie Cheryl," Kimberley speaks softly, "I never lied to you, I simply didn't tell you-"
"I-It's just as bad." She cries.
Kimberley steps back inside and closes the front door. She needed to comfort her wife, she needed to bring her sanity back around.
"Do you want to come with me? Hmm? Do you want to come with me and see her?" She asks, her hands returning to wiping the falling tears, they flow heatedly down the Geordie's cheeks.
"I-I-I" She goes to speak, but the lump has caught every word desperate to escape.
"It's alright, c'mere," She envelopes her tightly into a cuddle. "You're alright.. Shh baby, come on."
Cheryl hiccups violently against Kimberley's chest. She's never wanted something so bad, she's never wanted to give her love to someone so bad.
My Madison.
"I-I," Cheryl intakes a deep breath; her words muffle against the blondes chest. "I have w-work." She breathes deeply once more.
"What time will you be home?" Kimberley lifts her wife's chin up, the brown orbs swim with distraught.
"Seven," Cheryl sniffs "I'll be home at seven"
Kimberley swoops down and claims the trembling lips in a tender kiss filled with love.
"I'll bring her here," She whispers against Cheryl's mouth; she places another kiss. "I'll bring her around once you've finished-"
"W-What if sh-she-" Kimberley shuts her up with another kiss, she lingers the kiss until the hiccups and stammers settle down.
"Don't you worry about that." The blonde smiles, her fingers feathers through the tangled brown locks.
She gazes deeply into the brown orbs.
"I'm sorry I kept this from you," She apologizes sincerely, "I'm sorry for making you cry," She continues, "And I'm also sorry you had to find out this way."
Cheryl gulps and sniffs once more.
"Please bring her here." She pleads, "I forgive you.. I understand now.. But please, please bring her here."
Kimberley nods with a sympathetic expression.
"Okay," She whispers, "I will. I promise." Their lips meet again, and for once Cheryl smiles into the lip lock.
My Madison.
--
Madison stands behind the counter, she huffs once again, her patience has runout.
"Will you stop hovering over me?" Stacey hisses, "If you want to wait for Kimberley then sit at an empty table-"
"How about you stand somewhere else?" Madison shoots back, "I'm not even talking-"
"I can hear you breathing!" The older woman turns around and meets the impatient teen. "Why are you even here? Don't you have better things to do.. Like teenage stuff?"
"No," Madison rolls her eyes, "I ran out of teenage stuff to do."
"You're a brat-"
"Thanks, tell the next person who actually gives a fcuk about your irrelevant opinion."
Stacey opens and closes her mouth, she's unable to respond to Madison's bold words.
"Uh-ah-Oh-ah.. Cat got your tongue?" The teen rolls her eyes, "Now I suggest you leave me alone."
Before they went at it like cats and dogs, the door chimes with Kimberley walking through.
"Finally!" Stacey breathes, "Take her away!" Kimberley smiles and raises her eyebrow at the teen.
"What has she done?"
"What have I done?" Madison gasps dramtically, "How could you even think I would do anything.. I'm an angel." The teen grins.
"She's the devil-"
"And you're a bore," Kimberley shakes her head at her worker and the teen bickering away.
"Aright," She breaks it up. "Maddy?"
The teen perks up with a smile.
"Are you spending the day here?"
Madison nods in response.
"Okay, I have to go buy some supplies for the shop," Madison tries not to let her smile falter. "Do you want to come with me?" Her heart leaps with excitement.
"Really?" She squeals, but quickly clears her throat and tries to play it off cooly. "I mean.. Yeah, sure whatever" She shrugs.
Kimberley chuckles.
"Yeah whatever," She mocks her, "Come on you cheeky monkey."
"Take her please!" Stacey gives Madison a playful shove, "She's been breathing down my neck all fcuking morning-"
"I was not! Kimba she's the one that's been prodding at me since I walked in." Kimberley smiles at Madison's permanent pet name for her.
"Is that so Stacey?" She rasies her eyebrow and draws the teen into her side. "Are we going to need to fire you?" Kimberley winks at her worker, silenty letting her know she was joking.
Madison pokes her tongue out at the other woman.
"N-No Kimbelrey.. Please." She acts out in fright.
"Then I suggest you apologize to Maddy."
"I-I'm s-so sorry Madison.. Please. I need this job-"
"Hmm," The teen hums in thought, "I'll let it slide this time."
"Thank you so much." Stacey releases a sigh of relief.
"I wont let it go next time-"
"It will never happen again." Stacey cuts her off quickly.
Kimberley smiles appreciatively at her friend and worker.
"Okay that's settled," She gives Madison a squeeze and pulls her in tighter. "We're heading out, if you's need anything just give me a call."
"Will do." Kimberley keeps her arm around the teen and walks them out.
"I brought Cheryl's convertible today, the weather was lovely and I knew you'd like it." She releases Madison from her side and opens the dark grey Bentley door.
"You two aren't flashy at all," Madison rolls her eyes and climbs into the car.
"Don't be rude now," Kimberley laughs lightly and walks around to the driver's side.
"Put your seatbelt on," Kimberley says all whilst clipping her belt into place.
She motherly leans over and makes sure Madison's belt was securely in place.
No ones ever cared for me this way.
She presses the start button; roaring the car to life. The odd gaze and stare comes their way, but Madison is oblivious to gawking strangers, she was far too engrossed in Kimberley's love for this car.
"Who chose this car?" Madison asks, Kimberley begins the drive through the streets. The winds flow freely through the exposed top.
Madison giggles as her hair begins to wildly cover her face.
"Slow down!!" She howls out in laughter.
Kimberley sneaks a look at the teen and laughs at the sight of Madison drowning in her long brown locks.
She swiftly pulls over.
"What in the fcuking hell was that!?" Madison screeches, she pushes her hair back and gasps for air.
"Too fast?" Kimberley giggles and opens the armrest in hopes to find a hair tie.
"I think I almost died just then," The teen gasps again, "I would have been the girl that died suffocating from her own bloody hair!" she snaps.
Kimberley bites her lip and suppresses her laughs.
Just like Cheryl - Dramatic as ever.
"Found it-"
"Found what?! Your fcuking mind?" Madison continues her aggravated rant. "Can't believe I actually listened to you and got into this car-"
"Would you be quiet?" Kimberley giggles, "Let me tie your hair you Muppet." Madison scowls and turns around so the older woman could tie her hair.
Kimberley tries not to think too much into this simple action, tying her hair, she envisioned herself tying her unborn child's hair once.
She blinks away her thoughts.
"I want it higher," Madison demands.
"As you wish your majesty-"
"You almost killed me, you should be nice." The teen huffs.
Kimberley shakes her head and ties the brown locks into a tight bun.
"There you go," Madison turns back into her seat, "Let me see my handy work then." The teen looks at Kimberley with narrowed as, and arms folded.
Still in a mood with her.
"Well aren't you more beautiful with that expression-"
"Again Kimba," She huffs, "You almost killed me."
"Oh quit your whining-"
"Do you have sunglasses in here?" The teen cuts her off.
Kimberley tuts playfully and opens the armrest back up and retrieves Cheryl's sunglasses.
"There you are me lady."
"Thanks," She snatches the designer glasses and shield's her eyes from the harsh sunlight.
"Being a little grateful is nice from time to time you know?" Kimberley sits back in her seat and puts her own sunny's on.
"Right now isn't the time," The teen quickly replies.
Kimberley smirks and puts the car back into drive.
She speeds quickly through the motorway.
Madison smiles at the rush, with fright her hand grabs to Kimberley's arm for comfort.
The blonde doesn't utter a word; she simply smiles at the need of security Madison silently desired.
"Can I put some music on?" The teen speaks over the loud winds.
Kimberley nods and instantly misses the contact. She rolls up the windows on either side, preventing the strong winds from blowing at them so violently.
The music blares loudly.
Madison throws her hands up in the air, and allows the breezes to invade her world.
The clear skies illuminate any gloomy moods; the beaming sun sends pure elation through Madison's veins.
"Where are we going?" She asks, and lowers the music to hear Kimberley better.
"Just to the warehouse for orders needing to be placed-"
"We should go buy flowers and put them in your shop-"
"I do have flowers-"
"Not ones I like," Madison explains, "You have basic ones like white roses." She rolls her eyes behind the dark sunglasses.
"And which ones do you want?" Kimberley glances at her quickly.
"Some pinks would be nice, and rosy reds?" The blonde smiles at the color choice.
I love my rosy reds.
"Are you trying to change my shop around to your liking?" Kimberley raises her eyebrow.
"Yes!" Madison nods with a giggle, "I actually am!"
Kimberley chuckles and shakes her head.
"Do you mind that?" The teen asks.
Kimberley doesn't reply until she's taken an exit and stops at a red light.
They are finally able to hear their thoughts.
"I don't mind," The blonde shrugs; she lowers the volume a little more. "You can do what you like-"
"And what if I make it really ugly-"
"Then I'll blame you for your bad taste."
Madison grins, "Alright," She settles back into her seat.
"How much longer until we get there?" She asks, her eyes frantically working around the new surroundings. "It's even more posh here" Madison points out and quickly looks at Kimberley.
"It's all the high end shops here-"
"Yeah but your shop is where the high end shops are too-"
"It's even more here," Kimberley smiles at her and swiftly parks in an empty space on the street. "Don't get out, one second." Madison sits still and watches the older woman make her way around.
"Do you always have to open my door? I mean, I could get it." She rolls her eyes and pretends to be annoyed. She secretly loved all the attention Kimberley was giving her.
"Yes," Kimberley replies and helps the teen out, "Deal with it." She smiles.
"It'll be a job, but I'll try." She returns the smile and allows Kimberley to once again hold her close as they walk to the warehouse around the corner.
"I wanted to talk to you about something," Madison holds her breath to those words. Kimberley releases her from the tight hold, and walks through the automatic doors of the large depot.
"What?" Madison smiles and places her hand to the trolley handle, she stays close to the blonde. It was a need.
"Would you want to come over after we finish-"
"Did Cheryl answer me this morning?" The teen cuts her off.
"Yeah," Kimberley clears her throat and shifts her eyes. "She was quite upset actually.
"Oh," Madison releases a soft breath; they walk quietly for a few minutes. "I ended the call in her face-"
"I didn't appreciate that-"
"Did you know? Were you next to her?" Madison frowns with confusion.
"No I was asleep," Kimberley explains, "But knowing how much Cheryl cares for you, and you just shut the phone really upsets me right now."
Madison rolls her eyes with a groan.
"I'm being serious babe," Kimberley speaks firmly. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." She demands.
Madison finds herself looking at the blue-greys.
"I don't like the fact you shut the phone in her face, I let a lot of things slide.. But when it comes to my wife I only ask is for you to give her some respect-"
"She doesn't deserve respect." Madison bites back.
The older woman clench's her teeth together and counts to ten. She wasn't going to tell off the teen in the large warehouse.
They stroll awkwardly, ignoring one another for a few passing minutes.
"My family is everything to me," Kimberley speaks first, "I don't appreciate you bad mouthing my wife in this manner."
Madison looks down; her eyes fixate on her feet shuffling along the tiled flooring.
She loves her family. Nobody has ever stood up for me this way, and nobody ever will.
"Are you listening to me?" Kimberley nudges her, and finally the teen looks back into her eyes. "Did you hear me?" Her voice softens.
"Mhm," Madison hums, she forces herself not to cry. "I'm.. I'm sorry." She averts her eyes.
Kimberley stops her movement, and puts the trolley to halting stop.
She pulls the teen into her arms; Madison doesn't fight it. She melts entirely into this hold, her heart sings a sweet tune of beating thumps, a new melody she wasn't aware of.
"I just want you to understand," Kimberley tries to explain, "I don't mean to be harsh-"
"It's fine," Madison's words muffle in the older woman's arms. "She's your wife-"
"All I ask for is a little respect." The blonde pulls them apart, her arms rest affectionately against Madison's forearms. She strokes them sweetly, their eyes never shift or avert.
They have locked each other in a loving spell.
"I'll work on that bit," The teen whispers. "I'm sorry." She apologizes again.
Kimberley smiles and gently tugs the teen back into her arms. Her hands strokes along Madison's back in a loving action.
I've never been held this way.
"Let's get this shopping done? What do you say?" Madison nods and catches Kimberley's quickly. "You want to hold my hand?" The blonde covers her excitement with a light laugh.
"Yeah.. Is that alright?"
"It's more than alright, come one."
Kimberley's heart was thumping wildly; she never thought her love could grow so quickly for Madison. The world had struck her with a new type of love, and it only belonged to the teen currently clutching her hand tightly.
"So is that a yes or a no to coming over after this?" The blonde asks, one hand grasping Madison's and the other pushing the trolley with every muscle in her left arm.
"Erm," Madison clears her throat. "Yeah.. Okay I guess."
They share a smile.
"Cheryl will really love that"
"I just want to hang out with you." Madison replies, and to Kimberley's disspoinment, that wasn't the reason she wanted to teen to come over.
"Don't go saying that in front of my wife." She laughs nervously.
"Why?" Madison frowns "I really just wanted to come over to-"
"Please, just don't say that." The blonde cuts her off, "We'll have a nice night all of us together.. Okay?"
"Okay." Madison silently gulps and decides against her thoughts. She was upset with herself, she could feel her clingy self rising per second spent with Kimberley.
The blonde prayed tonight would put her wife at ease, she wanted Cheryl's smile to return. She knew Madison would do just that.
Their worlds were healing, and mending each other's broken souls.
