Author's Note: This is my second hated season behind rebooted. It's poorly written, brings the Nya drama back and the characters do stupid things for the sake of the plot! So infuriating.

(Third Person P.O.V)

(Y/N) could hear the singing so much louder than before, blocking out all other sounds around her. It sounded so... Otherworldly.

The realm is calling for you, can you hear us screaming out for you?

Every time you've bled for reaching greatness, relentless you've survived.

You've never given in when everything's cold and fighting's near,

It's deep in your bones, you'll run into smoke when the fire is fierce.

Pick yourself up, because it's written down in eternity,

But they'll never see the price it cost, the scars you've collected all your life.

When everything's lost, you've picked up our hearts and avenge our defeat,

Before it all started, you suffered through harm just to achieve that dream.

Pick yourself up, because, the realm is calling out for you,

Begging you to fight, pick yourself up once more.

Ronin frantically held (Y/N)'s left arm. "(Y/N)? Can you hear me?" Ronin asked trying to get her to respond to him as he tried to stem the bleeding.

(Y/N) began to babble as Echo and Dareth came rushing to see what all the screaming was.

As a child, you would wait,

And train your life away,

But you always knew that you'd be the one,

That'd work while they all play.

In youth, you'd lay,

Awake at night and scheme,

Of all the things that you would change.

The time will come,

When you'll have to rise,

Above the rest and prove yourself,

Your spirit will never die!

Farewell, you've gone to fight the throne,

But don't weep for you because,

This will be the labour of your love!

Ronin had bundled (Y/N) up inside her dark grey cloak as he whistled for R.E.X. (Y/N) was staring at the chunk of Vengestone embedded in her left hand as she continued to babble incoherent lyrics at the trio.

Risked the fall, felt it all,

came crashing down from far above.

Hearing voices from afar,

join the madness when the curtain falls.

Risk it all, hold nothing back,

Seize the day, you must attack.

Stars arising, countless realms colliding,

only one will take it all.

Can you bring to fall the giants?

Can you make the final call?

To ignite the darkened skies.

The champion,

Of a rule that we defy.

A solemn reign,

Of the few who rise up high.

And we'll all fight,

"She's in shock." Dareth gasped in fear. "We should take her to the Junkyard. Ed and Edna Walker will know what to do." Echo insisted as Ronin scooped up (Y/N).

"Hang in there (Y/N)." Ronin ordered as they bordered R.E.X. "We'll be there before you know it." Dareth promised her.

(Y/N) was pail, and continued babbling things that the three boys couldn't understand.

Dareth and Echo look to Ronin. "I don't know, Why are you looking at me?" Ronin shouted at the pair as R.E.X took off.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Ninjas had split up once again in order to gain information about Nadakhan's whereabouts.

Jay and Nya disguised with fake moustaches and cop outfits snuck into the police station, Kai and Zane went to go find the bounty while Cole and Lloyd went to find Nadakhan's ship.

They all kept in contact through their communication devices that they wore on their wrists, courtesy of Nya.

"We must find those ninjas!" The Police Commissioner ordered. "They can't just break out of Kryptarium Prison and disappear! We need witnesses, locations, anything! These fugitives are ninjas, they could be right under our noses!"

"Alright, I'm in their secured network," Nya whispered into her communication device. "But I still need that password."

"I'm looking for it now," Jay whispered back, "But I still don't understand why we need to hack into their systems when we have a nindroid."

"Nindroids don't know everything." Nya replied and Zane let out an unpleasant cough.

"We need to find Nadakhan's ship. We need it's location ASAP." Nya spluttered in embarrassment.

"Ok, ok, I'll find that password!" Jay said changing the subject before an argument could breakout.

"Hey, what was the password again?" Jay asked in a fake deep voice. "The password is password." One of the detectives answered him.

Nya began typing into her computer. "I'm in." Nya responded. "I'm looking through the city's records to try and find the last known whereabouts of the ship. Speaking of which Kai, how's Destiny's Bounty holding up?"

"I've got my eyes on it now, sis. Zane and I are going after it now." Kai reported.

Nya continued searching through the database and reading the information about Misfortune's Keep. "I found its location. It was last seen on the shores of Gypsy's Cove. Got that?" Nya announced with a smug tone.

"Got it, Nya." Cole responded. "We're on our way there now."

"Nya, we're having some difficulties!" Kai yelled through his device. "Well, if you can't get the bounty, the get out of there!" Nya whisper yelled at him.

"Get out of there? But we just got here?" Cole said through the device in confusion. "No, not you Cole. Did you guys find Nadakhan's ship?" Nya demanded.

"Not exactly, but we did find some evidence of it." Lloyd explained. "But this is weird. There's electrical equipment here. Why would this stuff be in the same place as an old pirate ship?" "Maybe the ship's already left for sea." Cole suggested with a shrug.

"I can't find signals of it anywhere. You'd think a big pirate ship would be easier to find." Nya responded with a huff."Well if his ship isn't here and it's not out there, then where is it?" Lloyd asked.

"Good question." Nya responded with a sigh. "What's a good question?" The Police Commissioner asked walking up to Nya.

"Uh... The question is, what time is lunch? All this searching is making me hungry." Nya replied swiftly.

"You're right, we can't think straight on an empty stomach. We'll resume after lunch." The Police Commissioner directed. He began walking away as everyone started to get ready to leave for lunch.

"Guess that means us too. Good thing too I'm getting hungry." Jay started walking past Nya. "Yeah, I guess we'll just have to keep looking later." Nya sighed and followed after Jay.

The two of them headed downstairs to the floor level. There was a food truck outside that all the other officers went to get lunch, so Jay and Nya decided to follow them.

They got outside and saw a line was already forming at the truck, so they got in line at the back. Eventually, it was their turns.

Jay reached into his pockets but soon realized he didn't have his wallet.Nya gave an annoyed sigh and pulled out some money.

"Here, this should cover both of us." She grabbed the two trays and ruffly handed one to Jay.

"Heh, thanks." Jay thanked awkwardly. The two walked to a pair of benches to sit down. They took off their hats and set them next to their trays.

"Heh heh, if I had a dollar for every time I was broke." Jay joked trying to keep a positive mood going given their distil circumstances. Nya just gave a disappointed sigh in response.

"I can't believe you, Jay." Nya scoffed into her meal. "What? What did I say?" Jay asked worried he'd said something dumb.

"You couldn't at least buy lunch for me as a teammate?" Nya snorted. "What!?" Jay shouted dumbfounded.

"I know you still have some feelings for me. You've made it pretty obvious you do. But these things have to stop the mission is more important than your dumb feelings." Nya said harshly but Jay cut her off.

"What is wrong with you!? You self centred brat. This isn't even about you." Jay growled lowly trying not to blow their cover.

"I'm self-centered? You're the one being a jerk. This is one of the reasons we have a rocky relationship. You wouldn't shower me with the things I wanted." Nya trailed on.

"Look I know you play your 'Poor me I'm from a junkyard. Boohoo' gambit with the boys but could you drop it we have a mission to do."

"The reason we had a 'rock relationship' was because you cheated on me." Jay responded getting up no longer hungry.

"Then what do you call tricking me into having lunch with you." Nya scoffed at Jay. With that Jay lost his temper.

"You want to be showed in stuff, then take this!" Jay hissed and dumped the tray on Nya.

"I don't have feelings for you. Those died when you cheated on me." Jay spat under his breath at Nya. Before storming off, leaving Nya alone with food dripping down her face and hair.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Clancee vomits as the Misfortune's Keep is airborne."You always were seasick, Clancee, but I never pegged you to be airsick." Flintlocke said to the Serpentine hybrid.

"Trim the sails! Tighten the halyard!" Flintlocke commanded as he went to see Nadakhan.

Nadakhan was looking at a picture of Nya. "It really is you, Dilara." Nadakhan said to himself.Flintlocke let out a cough to let Nadakhan know he was present."What is it?" Nadakhan growled bitterly at Flintlocke.

"Uh, the crew and I have kept our mouths shut, but you still haven't told us about your plan." Flintlocke stated unsure of what was going on.

"You need to trust your Captain. Your job is to control the ship, which you seem to be failing at. My job is to catch the Ninjas that the Sword of Souls is powerful enough to do my-our bidding." Nadakhan shouted at the crew.

"I'm sorry, Captain. I'll have this ship steady in no time." Flintlocke apologised as he left.

"I said, steady the ship!" Flintlocke ordered. "You never doubted me, Dilara." Nadakhan sighed to the old photo of Dilara.

"Any news?" Flintlocke asked Clancee. "S-Still no sign of the Ninja. I-I-It's like they've d-d-d-disappeared off the map." Clancee said as he vomited into his bucket.

"Well, then, maybe I'll see what progress this so-called police are making in their search." Nadakhan says as he disappears.

"I really wish he'd warn us when he did that." Clancee gaged into his bucket

"Fly over the mountain, not into it!" Flintlocke demanded taking control of the ship. Monkey Wretch screeches wildly at Flintlocke.

"What do you mean the rudder can only turn left or right? What kind of airship can't go up or down?!" Flintlocke screamed and the entire crew starts to screams as they get closer to the mountain.

(Third Person P.O.V)

"Ugh, you're so stupid Jay!" Nya complained to herself as she cleaned herself off.

"All because of stupid... Wish she'd never... Wished he never..." Nya continued to grumble under her breath as she scrubbed the sauce out of her shirt.

Suddenly, a poof of orange smoke appeared in front of Nya causing her to jump back in shock.

The smoke formed into a floating figure, staring back at Nya. "So, you want the boy? I can help with that." The mysterious figure offered.

"Nadakhan!" Nya hissed ready to attack the Dijinn."Why be so upset? When I can offer your heart's desire?" Nadakhan persuaded.

"Nice try but you can't fool me, you aren't allowed to wish for love." Nya responded in a bitter tone.

"Ah, that is true, but there are ways around it, ways to get what you want." Nadakhan explained. "Well then, I guess he'll never be yours," Nadakhan said, beginning to float away.

"Well, I guess one wish wouldn't hurt," Nya said. "But, no one else would find out, right? Just between you and me?"

"Of course, you have my word." Nadakhan promised.

"Alright then. Then, I wish... I wish Jay wasn't born poor in a junkyard so that he could give everything I want." Nya dictated to the Dijinn. Nadakhan smiled.

"Your wish is yours to keep." He said before poofing away in a puff of orange smoke leaving Nya alone.

While Jay was calming himself down, from seemingly out of nowhere the Postman rode up to Jay on his bicycle.

"There, you are!" he stated. "I've been looking all over Ninjago for you. Don't worry, I won't report you to the authorities, just delivering the mail." He handed a letter to Jay.

Jay grabbed the letter and opened it, reading it out loud to himself.

"I'm sorry to inform you, but your father has passed away." Jay's voice suddenly softened, Jay's breaths shortened and his hands grew slightly shaky. Tears dripping down his face and Jay dropped the letter.

Jay instantly started running away, summoning his dragon and flying away, completely ignoring the fact that he could easily blow his cover.

Jay commanded the Elemental Dragon to fly as quickly as he could to his parent's junkyard as he quietly whispered. "Please no, please oh god no." To himself repeatedly.

(Third Person P.O.V)

R.E.X. lands in the middle of Edna's and Ed's scrap 'n' junk, Junkyard."Oh, visitors. How lovely." Edna says waving at R.E.X. as it lands.

"EDNA! ED!" Dareth screamed. "Mr and Mrs Walker." Echo called out frantically.

"Well, I'm here but Ed's gone out to get some more supplies." Edna says calling out to her guest.

Ronin lept out of R.E.X. with (Y/N) in his arms still bundled in her dark, grey cloak for warmth and comfort.

"(Y/N)! Oh dear, what happened to her." Edna asked rushing over to see the deathly pail girl in the thief's arms.

"She sick, ever since the fight with the Preeminent she's been hearing things and her eyes haven't stopped glowing, now her Vengestone sword has exploded and a piece has embedded itself within her left hand." Ronin reported in great haste.

"Poor dear." Edna whispered. "Why did you bring her to me?" Edna questioned the trio.

"You're one of the few who she'll allow to treat her, she'd never tolerate a hospital or medical staff in her unwell state of mind and may lash out at them, unintentionally hurt them." Dareth said pressing the urgency.

"I understand." Edna said and ushered them inside her home to treat the ailing girl."Poor thing her life hasn't been easy." Edna said cooing over (Y/N) only like a loving mother could.

The first thing (Y/N) realised when she regained consciousness was the fact that she was not lying on the hard ground and that she was very much not outside, which was confusing as this was not the last place she remembered being in.

"Hey, (Y/N) you good there? You were out of it for a while." Ronin asked while snapping his fingers in front of (Y/N)'s face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just... Thinking..." (Y/N) replied trying to steady herself. Her mind was still spinning and she tried to focus on who was in the room with her.

"Edna... Ronin... Echo... Dareth..." (Y/N) counted off in her head.

"Thinking? About what?" Edna questioned her stroking her hair in a soothing matter."Well, first of all, how long I was sleeping for?" (Y/N) asked still weakened from the Vengestone fragments.

"Six hours." Ronin interrupted. "Six hours?" (Y/N) choked as Edna took her temperature with the back of her hand."You were burning up." Edna commented in a mothering tone. "It's good to see that you are well again.

Jay arrived at the junkyard and jumped off his dragon as soon as he landed."Mum! Dad!" Jay yelled as he ran to his parent's mobile-home. He ran inside and saw his Mum sitting down with guests.

"Mum!" Jay yelled once more. "Oh, what is it, son? What's all the fuss?" Edna asked hugging her distraught son.

"Where's dad!? Is he ok!?" Jay asked, panicked. (Y/N) shared a look with the other three guests.

"Oh, I'm sorry Jay, he's not here," Edna responded. "No!" Jay whispered to himself. His eyes had started turning red and tears began to form. He went to wipe his face when he heard someone.

"I'm back!" Ed announced walking in to see they had guests one being his own son.

"Oh, Jay! What a pleasant surprise!" Ed said with a smile."Dad!" Jay yelled grabbing his dad and hugged him, squeezing him as tight as he could.

"I thought I lost you! I got a letter saying my father died!" Jay rambled, tears still rolling down his face.

Ed and Edna looked at each other, giving slightly worried expressions. Ronin and Dareth noticed this.

"Jay, deary, there has been something we've been meaning to tell you." Edna said walking up to her son.

Jay looked at her in confusion and then back at his dad. "Jay, gee willikers. There just was no easy way to tell you," Ed said. "You see, son," He paused. "You're uh... You're adopted, Son."

"Uhh... Wh-what?" Jay looked around in confusion. "I'm adopted?" "Oh, we're sorry, Jay. We should have told you sooner." Edna said putting a comforting hand on Jay's shoulder.

"Ah, we should get going." Ronin said going to retrieve (Y/N) from inside the mobile home and off the table she'd been laying on while Edna removed the Vengestone fragments.

"Boys you leave (Y/N) here she needs to rest." Edna instead. "Ah, is that a good idea?" Dareth questioned Edna hinting at what was about to happen.

"You two head on your way, Echo can watch over her while Ed and I talk with Jay." Edna insisted.

Ronin nudged Dareth to leave as quickly as he could in R.E.X."Good luck." Ronin shouted out as they left.

"You were left at our doorstep as a baby, along with a key and address." Edna said to Jay heading inside to retrieve them for Jay."And we gladly raised you as our own ever since." Ed explained as Echo and (Y/N) stepped out of the house.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Jay stuttered today was just one emotional gut punch to the next for the Ninja of Lightning.(Y/N) didn't say anything but Echo waved hello to him.

Edna returned with the key and address in question, handing them to Jay. "Oh, you were the cutest baby we had ever seen." Edna gushed talking about little baby Jay.

Jay stared at the key and address and gave a little nervous laugh. "I... I hope this doesn't change anything." Ed said. "Of course not." Jay reassured hugging both his parents.
