Sensei Wu pried apart the brawling quartet of (Y/N), Cole, Jay and a purple-faced Kai apart.

Kai was coughing and spluttering trying to breathe again. "W-wh-at. What do-you mean you don't know where Nya is." Kai struggled to get out. "Zane said."

"I don't know where she is I just refused to betray her by telling a secret of hers. It had nothing to do with her location." (Y/N) said plainly releasing him the meteor hammers chain and walking away from the bruised and battered trio of idiots.

"(Y/N)!" Lloyd screamed run towards her tears streaming down his face. Zane stood off to the side unsure what to do.

"I fear Nya has found her way into the end of all snakes. There may be no way of rescuing her now." Sensei Wu mourned.

That pissed Kai off he that proceed to punch the floor with the fist. "Don't say that!" Kai shouted hoarsely.

"Don't worry. We'll find a way." Cole says putting his hand on Kai's shoulder.

"(Y/N) you're bleeding." Lloyd gasped pointing at the blood dripping down her neck. "Don't worry little one I have had far worse this is nothing it probably looks worse than it is." (Y/N) reassured him with a hug.

Lloyd sniffled and wiped his face on the back of his sleeve. "You're really tough." Lloyd said trying to reassure himself.

(Y/N) smiled at him. "That's right, it will take more than the king of idiots to stop me." (Y/N) declared taking him inside.

Zane went to follow her but judging by the look on Sensei Wu's face now was not a good time.

(Y/N) laid Lloyd down in her bed tucking him in nice and snug. Lloyd was still worried and sniffling lightly. "It's ok Lloyd." She told him stroking his hair. (Y/N) felt a little woozy but she had to stay strong right now.

Maybe it was due to the blood loss or the slight concussion or maybe it was the fact that Lloyd was so small and in need of comfort. She began to hum a lullaby she was unaware she even knew.

--(Y/N) singing was interrupted by Lloyd soft snores.

(Y/N) decided to leave it there slowly and softly walking backwards out of the room as to not wake him only to bump into someone.

(Y/N) quickly looked back to see Zane. (Y/N) mouthed 'What do you want?'

Zane went to speak but the noise made Lloyd stir in his sleep. (Y/N) quietly shut the door and motioned for Zane to follow her.

Once they were far away enough not to disturb the sleeping Lloyd. (Y/N) turned to Zane. "What is it? what do you want?" (Y/N) asked quickly.

"I wanted to apologise." Zane admitted rubbing the back of his neck. "For what?" (Y/N) asked confused.

"I told the others that you might know where Nya was and they hurt you." Zane explained shyly. "I did not mean for that to happen."

(Y/N) only chuckled and patted him on the shoulder. "Zane, I already said I understood when told me you were going to tell them. I'm not mad at you; I already knew the unstable hot head was going to try and hurt me over this, even though I have no idea where Nya is." She told him with a smile.

Zane couldn't believe how calm she was being.

"I didn't count on the other two idiots jumping in though at least you were smart enough to stay out of it, and you also kept Lloyd safe." (Y/N) admitted walking off.

"Wait." Zane called out to her. (Y/N) looked back at him. "Yes, Zane." She called back.

"You have a beautiful singing voice." Zane complemented. "Thank you?" (Y/N) respond unsure what to say to him.

"That song... I never heard it before where did you learn it?" Zane asked. "No idea. I didn't even know I knew it or how to sing." (Y/N) confessed and shrugged it off.

"I do not understand." Zane admitted. "Oh right, you lot don't know... Um... I have no idea who I am or where I came from. All I really know is that Kai is my arch enemy and that Ed and Edna are the nicest people I know." (Y/N) informed him.

"What?" Zane yelped in surprise. "I also do not know where I come from." Zane told her.

"Seriously?" (Y/N) chuckled not believing him "It true." Zane declared. "You can ask Sensei Wu if you do not believe me he was the one that found me."

"I'll take your word on it." (Y/N) told him.

____One week later____

It had been a time since Nya had been captured. Kai's mood had darkened significantly and Jay had become depressed, (Y/N) kept Lloyd as far from Kai as she could keep him not trusting him for a moment. Though Lloyd took a shine to Zane which made thing a lot easier.

(Y/N) walk out to the upper deck and notice Lloyd holding a stopwatch. "Zane wants to beat his record on holding his breath underwater," Lloyd informed her.

"What?" Cole asks coming up the stairs. "But isn't his record kinda inhuman?"

"I believe I have the potential," Zane replies with determination in his eyes.

"Here I go," Zane says as he dives into the ocean water. Lloyd starts the stopwatch. Now they waited. Cole scooted over to (Y/N). She notices and gives me a glance as she changes place to be on Lloyd's other side.

Cole rubs the back of his neck looking ashamed. Things had not improved between them and Jay spent all his time mopping to even notice the coldness from her.

"What was Zane's original record?" (Y/N) asked Lloyd.

"Five minutes and 90 seconds," Cole shouted out the answers before Lloyd could answer (Y/N).

"You mean six minutes and thirty seconds?" Lloyd corrected him. "Yeah, that." Cole chuckled nervously.

For the next few minutes, they leaned over the edge of the Bounty, Cole occasionally glances at (Y/N). But she was fixated on the water every time he looks at her, though.

Six minutes pass and they all seem rather surprised that Zane's not trying to come back up yet.

"Wow, Zane just broke his own record, the guy's inhuman!" Lloyd exclaimed. "He's not dead is he?" (Y/N) asked worried wondering if she should have jumped in to save him by now.

They hear a small splash and see Zane coming up to the surface. (Y/N) lets out a sigh of relief.

"We're not worthy!" Lloyd declares as he jokingly bows down to Zane, who is still in the water.

"I broke the record?" Zane asks. "You destroyed it!" Cole replies helping him out of the water.

"Okay, okay, is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?" Cole starts. "We've been training for so long, I don't think we can get any better! Just think about all we've accomplished."

Kai could run over glowing stones without burning his feet.

Jay had balanced on top of a lightning conductor while in a storm.

Cole had lifted 6 time his usual plus Jay with a turkey, and Lloyd just sitting there.

And now Zane beating his underwater record.

"The question should be raced. Perhaps we have reached our full potential." Zane says.

Jay had just now woken up. He slept much longer than he normally would. When he walked out of the ninjas sleeping room he saw that they were heading for Sensei Wu's room and decided to follow them.

"Sensei, what does true potential look like if-" Cole stops talking as he notices Sensei putting a katana away. Zane and Cole bow their heads. While Jay yarns.

"Our apologies Sensei," Zane says. "We've interrupted you."

Sensei Wu sighed. "I'm sorry if I've been distant lately. My mind has been elsewhere since Nya has gone missing. What can I help you with?"

"Sensei, what if we've done enough training?" Cole asks. "What if we've reached our true potential?"

Sensei Wu chuckles. "You might have reached peak physical condition, but you've yet to reach your inner potential,"

"In each and every one of us, there are obstacles that hold us back. Only when you conquer that fear, will your heart be free. Only then will you reach your true potential. Only then will we have a fighting chance to stop the Serpentine from releasing the Great Devourer."

"Is there more to the Great Devourer than you've led on, Old man?" (Y/N) asked sensing that there was more to the story.

Sensei Wu sighed keeping his back to them. "I too have obstacles within my own heart. There's a story I've never told you. Long ago, when I was a young boy, Garmadon and I were more than brothers. We were the best of friends."

"Wait a minute!" Jay interrupts. "I know you two were brothers, but really? The King of Cruelty, the Doer of Destruction, the Captain of Chaos, and you two were... friends?" (Y/N) hit Jay over the back of the head and Lloyd kicks him in the shin.

"He did not always have a wicked heart. One day, I lost this very katana," Sensei Wu continued taping lightly on the weapon in front of him.

"Knowing our father would be mad, my brother told me to go retrieve it, but I refused. He told me 'not to put off what can be done today,' and went to get it himself. When my father found him, he was very ill. For he was bitten by a legendary snake that would grow forever as long as it consumes."

"A great evil had found its way into my brother's heart, for the snake's venom could turn the purest of things wicked."

"The snake is the same one the Serpentine want to awaken today. It is the very same snake that took my brother away from me."

"So the Great Devourer turned dad into the Dark Lord?" Lloyd quietly asks. "It was all my fault," Sensei Wu says as he closes the katana case and carries it by the handle.

"You four have finished your training. You must now focus on stopping the Serpentine from collecting the four fangblades. But never lose focus on the obstacles that lie within each of your hearts! That holds you back from true greatness. Unlock your true potential."

"But how are we supposed to do that, Sensei?" Zane asks.

"It is up to each of you to discover. Now I must go on a personal journey of my own." Sensei Wu tells them as he walks to the door.

"Where are you going?" Jay asks.

"To a place, you cannot follow." Sensei Wu says solemnly. "If you're going for Nya," Cole starts. "The City of Ouroboros is filled with hundreds of Serpentine! Not even (Y/N) could do it alone!"

(Y/N) nodded her head in agreement. "That is a very bad Idea."

"I'm going to find someone who can be of aid. The Serpentine have united and grown stronger and we will need all the help we can get." Sensei Wu informs us.

They all follow Sensei Wu to the upper deck. Eventually, the Bounty makes it to a high mountain top and lands there.

After saying their collective goodbyes, Sensei Wu walks off onto the mountain and down to the ground. As soon as he is out of sight, they all go back inside.

"This is definitely going to be really difficult..." (Y/N) says going to her and Lloyd's room to think.

"(Y/N)" someone demands as they open the door. "This is what I'm talking about!" (Y/N) says under her breath. She looks up and it's Kai.

"What do you want?" (Y/N) replied harshly pulling out her meteor hammer ready for a fight. "We need to talk." Kai hisses back his body blocking the doorway.

"Drop dead." (Y/N) growls. "That's not likely." Kai declares in response.

"Zane!!" Lloyd shouts out for the white ninja as soon as he rounded the corner to see Kai and (Y/N) preparing to square off against one and other.

____Timeskip____

The Ninjas had the stupidest plan ever. To set up flyers around, saying if someone found a fangblade that they should call a ninja.

They were in Jamanakai Village. carrying a stack of papers that Lloyd had designed. It just has a picture of a Fangblade with the caption "Fangblade" and the Ninja's number.

"This is silly," Zane remarks after Kai puts another one up. "You have any better ideas?" Cole scoffed rhetorically.

"Hey! Maybe Sensei's going to get the samurai for help." Jay says having trouble with some tape.

(Y/N) makes a face that just says. 'Yeah right.'

"Ah.. Is everything alright?" Cole asks her trying to start up a conversation.

"Yeah, yeah!" (Y/N) grunts walking away from him. Cole sighs and gets back to work.

"Hey! Weirdo! You're making a mess of my storefront! Yo! You gotta problem?! Do I have to teach you a lesson on manners!?" A man shouts at Zane. Kai runs over to him and the others follow.

"I'm sorry sir! Sometimes our friend is in another world." Kai excused.

"He's littering all over the place." The man says. "We'll pick it up, so sorry." Cole tells him.

The red, black and blue ninja's bow down to pretend to pick the papers up. Lloyd makes faces at the man.

"Zane. What is the matter?" (Y/N) questions walking over to Zane and sees the falcon.

"Huh! It's the falcon! Oh my gosh! Every time we follow it, it leads us to good fortune!" Jay shouts and they began to chase after it. (Y/N) grabbed Lloyd and carries him on her back and follows after them.

The ninjas run through the village. They ran through the desert. Then they ran through a winter landscape.

"I guess good fortune is really far away." Kai complained. Jay sat down. "Y...You go on! I'll... catch up later." He says laying down to catch his breath.

The rest of them continue running until we came to a ravine with a fallen tree to the other side. Zane and Cole run over while Kai looked scared as he looked at all the water beneath the fallen tree.

"J...Just taking a... breather!... I'll meet up with you shortly." He says. And the four of them continue.

After a while, Cole stops for a time.

"Good thing... We're in... peak... physical... condition... How ...about...you...two..." He says between the breaths to (Y/N) and Lloyd. (Y/N) just ignores him; Lloyd, on the other hand, was asleep on her back as she continues runs after Zane.

The falcon keeps flying and flying. After a while, Zane stops and looks at the bird. Cole and (Y/N) stop and try to catch their breath.

"That bird just keeps going... Hey, what would you make of this?" Cole says and points at a sign that says 'Beware of Treehorns'.

"I am not familiar with a Treehorn." Zane tells him. (Y/N) just shakes her head to tired to talk.

"Probably just some wild squirrels..." Lloyd guesses. The falcon makes a sound and flies off. (Y/N) makes a face at the sound. "Well, don't lose it! I'll wait for the other guys to catch up." Cole offers; (Y/N) and Zane run off after it.

____Timeskip____

Cole waited for the other ninjas to come. When they did, they followed Zane's and (Y/N)'s footprints in the snow. It leads them to a tree with a door a tree with a door. We walk in the door and see a room that's much bigger inside than outside.

"Zane?" Kai called out. "Wow!  Would you look at this place! " Jay said in amassment as they walk down the stairs.

Zane, Lloyd and (Y/N) were sitting on the floor. (Y/N) was hugging Zane.

"You're still You! Zane and that will never change!" (Y/N) tells him holding him closer. "I know, but..." Zane started to say. "Except now your even cooler!" Lloyd's shouted to the heavens.

"Zane, what's wrong?" Kai asked when he finally made it to the bottom of the stairs.

"But what!?" Jay ask confused.

Zane stood up and looked at the design one time more, then opened the area over his stomach and chest.

"AAAHH!" The three other ninjas scream. (Y/N) just hugged Zane tighter.

"You're... a... robot!?" Kai exclaimed. "All this time, and I never knew..." Zane cries.

"Heh... G-guess this explains why you're always acting so weird, right?" Jay says unsure and laughs awkwardly.

"The reason I never had a sense of humour was because my funny switch wasn't on." Zane says and turned it on.

He immediately began to dance and sing a silly song.

~Hello mah baby, hello mah honey!~Hello my ragtime girl. Send me a kiss by a wire.~

Zane switched the humour switch off Jay was laughing loud with his hand on his stomach. "That was the scariest thing I have ever seen you do; please never do that again." (Y/N) pleaded.

"It Just makes you more special! Like (Y/N) said, you're still same Zane! Just more... uh.. gears.." Cole stated slapping Zane on the back. "No matter what you're made of. You're still our brother." Kai proudly declared.

"Really?" Zane asked and look up at their collective smiling faces. "In fact, I bet it makes you an even better ninja." Lloyd shouts excitedly.

"Yeah! And how cool isn't it that I can honestly say that my brother's a nindroid!" Jay says happily.

"A nindroid?" Zane questioned.

"Oh, come on! The Serpentine are still out there, looking for the first fangblade. And we need you!" Cole says. Zane looks down.

"You'll have to go on without me. I... just don't feel right..." Zane says and turns his back to them.

The others turn to leave. (Y/N) look sadly at his back before running up to him and giving him a hug goodbye making the Nindroid blush before joining the other ninjas.

"--You mean a Nindroid." Jay corrects Kai. "Yeah, whatever." Kai says not really caring.

"How the heck do we get out of this place?" Cole questions looking for a way out. "The same way we came?" Lloyd says making it sound obvious while waving my hands in the air.

A strange noise rang through the frozen air.

"What's that?" Cole asked. "Cute tiny birds?" Jay said nervously. A second strange noise rang out. The ninjas pulled their hoods over their faces and pull out there weapons.

"Lloyd get back inside!" (Y/N) orders and pushed him back inside the tree.

Cole saw something move in the woods. "Did you see that!?" He shouts. "I didn't see anything!" Jay shouted back. "I just saw it too! Treehorns." Kai exclaimed.

Kai saw the robot that Zane had mashed before on the ground. "Oh great! I think that was supposed to protect this place!" Kai points out.

Jay rushed towards one of the horns. He knocked its knees so it fell to the ground. But then another stopped his way.

Kai also rushed towards one. "Ninja! Goooo!" He shouts because he got kicked by its long legs, over and over again.

(Y/N) had one's leg wrapped in her chain, but it just swung her around and around.

Cole was holding one's foot and spinning it around. Then letting go so it flew right into another. But he also landed on his backside

"It's too many of them!" Cole shouted. (Y/N) was thrown some feet away and landed in a tree.

"Leave my friends alone! Ninja Go!" Zane shouted and spun around under the horns, hitting their legs.

"What's gotten into Zane?" Cole questioned. "I don't know... But I like it!" Kai says and they gather again.

"(Y/N)! Come down!" Jay shouts to (Y/N) who shouted something sarcastically back to him as she slides down the tree trunk.

"Ninja! Go!" The ninjas shout and spin around in colourful tornado's.

Now they make the most of the Treehorns fall, and when Cole got kicked, Zane caught him. After a while, the Treehorns walked off to the sides.

"Are they regrouping?" Jay asked. As a bigger Treehorn with more eyes come.

"The Queen." Zane says. She gave a roar and then hissed at Zane. "You will NOT hurt my friends! There's nothing that can hold me back! I know who I am!" Zane declares as his eyes began to glow.

"What's happening to him?" Kai bellowed "Is he programmed to do that?"

"I've never seen a robot do that." Cole says. "You mean a nindroid!" Jay corrects him for the second time.

"Yeah, whatever." Cole replies. "Is that the true potential thing my uncle was talking about." Lloyd shouts as (Y/N) shields him.

Zane continues glowing, turn into a tornado and spin around the queen. Then he's back to his position in front of the queen. From his chest there came a beam of light freezing the queen into the core, and the other Treehorns retreated.

Zane fell to the ground with a thud. "What happened?" He asks confused.

"That was awesome!!! You should have seen yourself!" Jay and Lloyd cheered.

"I've never seen anything like it!" Cole also cheered.

"This must have been what Sensei Wu meant by unlocking our hearts. I remember now. I-I remember everything! I remember my father and how he cared for me. I remember where I came from and I feel stronger for knowing." Zane exhilarated.

"I'm so jealous! His powers are so cool!" Cole exclaimed.

"We have our very own nindroid!" Jay says happily. The ninjas high five each other. Zane turns around and pulls his mask over his face again.

"See your still the same, Zane." (Y/N) said giving him a hug Zane blushed again.

"Watch out! Enemies of Ninjago, we're coming to get you!" Lloyd screams at the top of his lungs.

1) I realised that I had accidentally cut off the last part of the last chapter so I've worked it into the beginning of this one. Sorry.

2) The lullaby's Lyrics are from davy jones song pirates of the Caribbean. Writing a song is hard and finding one that foreshadowed was impossible.
