(Third Person P.O.V)

"Whoo-hoo!" Jay screamed in delight as the spider mech rocketed back up the mountain. "It's like your possession has given his mech boosters."

"Boo-sters? Is that some sorta Ghost joke?" Kai chuckled. "You know, this Ghost thing isn't that bad after all." Cole said with a slight smirk.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Sensei Wu was fanning Nya with his straw hat while the girl still lay on the ground from her shock.

"How are they going that fast?" Misako asked watching them from a distance.

"Well, they're cutting it close. The Blind Man's Eye will be touching down shortly." Ronin commented.

(Third Person P.O.V)

"The Hanging Temple. The summit isn't far." Morro shouted to the others while pointing out a structure on a cliff.

"Impossible." Bansha shrieks as she looks down the mountain only to see the Ninja.

"You said you got rid of them." Morro growls at her.

"I wiped them off the face of the mountain." Bansha hissed absolutely lived that the Ninja's had survived.

"Clearly you didn't wipe hard enough!" Morro growls at her. "Calm down Morro. We will deal with these cursed Ninja." Soul Archer declared.

"It's not just that this incessant boy keeps trying to break free of my possession!" Morro growled. "And If the Ninja's get the sword of Sanctuary before we do they'll have the upper hand."

"I've never known you to worry." Soul Archer said with a worried tone for the boy.

Morro turned to Bansha. "Contact our friend on the inside I have a plan." Bansha nodded and began her chanting.

Morro jumped out of the Mech-enstein. "But Morro, the wind." Soul Archer said nodding his head towards the mind controlled (Y/N) about to follow him out, while the wind didn't affect the ghosts it could affect her.

"(Y/N) stay with Ghoultar. The rest of you just make sure they make it to the top but don't go easy on them." Morro said with a wicked smile.

"Ghoultar fight!" Ghoultar shouted happily now piloting Mech-enstein with (Y/N) and Soul Archer aimed an arrow ready to strike out at the Ninja's as they came closer.

Kai then spotted the hanging temple and shouted out to his brothers. "The hanging temple we're not far!"

Soul Archer smirked as he shot an arrow and it struck Kai in the chest. "Kai!" His brothers screamed in fear.

"Wow! The armour really works! I didn't turn into a ghost!" Kai said as the arrow disappeared and his brothers sighed in relief.

Cole spotted Morro running off he wasn't far.

"Morro's getting away!" Cole shouted. "And you're not!" Bansha declared as she screeches causing icicles to fall, the Ninja barely dodged the icicles in time.

"Who's ready for some exercise? 'Cause we're about to do some exorcism." Kai said with a cocky smile.

"Seriously Kai?" Cole said facepalming.

"Ghoultar chop!" Ghoultar yelled as the Mech-enstein grabbed Zane's Mech using grappling hooks and dragged Zane's upward and threw it on the ground.

Kai was duelling with Bansha while Jay and Cole avoided Soul Archer's arrows.

"Where's the archer!?" Jay shouted to Cole. "On the rooftop!" Cole shouted back dogging an arrow.

Jay throws his Aeroblade at Soul Archer but he dodges the blade.

Bansha pushes Kai back the ground under him about to collapse. Cole throws his Aeroblade above Kai for him to hold on to.

Kai jumps grabbing ahold of the Aeroblade's handle before Bansha can attack him.

Ghoultar continues to grappling with Zane's Mech. "Hahaha, Ghoultar never let you leave!" Ghoultar declared.

Zane tied both their mechs together with cable. "Then it's off the plank for you! Ghoultar!" Zane said as he activated the boosters and jumps out sending both their mechs off the mountain unaware that (Y/N) was also inside the Mech-enstein with Ghoultar.

"Come on, we have to get outta here!" Kai shouted and lead his brothers across the Hanging Temple bridge.

Soul Archer shoots one of his arrows at the bridge it hits the bridge causing the bridge to slowly turned to a ghost bridge underneath them. The Ninja's scream as they run barely reaching the other side in time.

"Come on. There's no time to lose. We're almost there!" Kai stated still leading the charge.

Jay spots Morro climbing up icicles as they continue their trek up the mountain. "There he is! We're still in this."

Morro kicks off an icicle sending it at the Ninja. The Ninja to use their Aeroblades as a shield.

Jay falls off but Cole catches him. "I got you! We've got this!" Cole announces proudly pulling Jay back up.

The wind starts to wail again all around them. "We'll never make it in time!" Zane says in despair. "We will if we do one thing. Cyclon-do!" Kai told his brothers.

"But I never practised. What if I don't make it? What if I just blow off the mountain? What if I fall and die!?" Cole said starting to panic.

"Don't worry. You're a Ghost and Ghosts can't die." Kai stated and he successfully does Airjitzu.

Jay and Zane also successfully use Airjitzu to reach him. "We'll catch you. Just trust us. Just jump." Jay said as all three hold out their arms ready to catch him.

"Ghosts can't die. Ghosts can't die." Cole repeated to himself and launches himself into the air and lands on the other three Ninja.

The Ninja groans as they sit up. "Look! The Blind Man's Eye!" Kai said as the storm started to touch down on the mountain.

"We've got one shot." Zane affirmed. they and nodded in agreement before shouting "Cyclon-do!" As they went into the storm eye.

Morro, Soul Archer and Bansha gathered on the mountain before Morro reached her Bansha said. "We will not have to wait much longer everything is going according to plan."

"But How? The Gateway won't past for hours." Soul Archer questioned her.

"Let's just say I'm in contact with someone willing to leave the back door open..." Bansha smirked but soon lost her smirk. "Wait? Where's Ghoultar?" Bansha asked looking around. "And where's (Y/N)!" Morro growled.

At the Bounty, Misako watches the computer screen. "Their beacons are gone. What happened? Where did they go? Misako questioned.

"They've made it. They crossed over to the Cloud Kingdom." Sensei Wu said with relief as he continued to fan an unconscious Nya.

Ronin spots something falling out of the sky. "What was that? Is that..."

Ghoultar screams as he and (Y/N) plummet into the bounty and are caught in a Deepstone cage.

"Fresh catch of the day." Ronin laughed at his own joke. "Bring them inside. I want answers." Sensei Wu instructed. Ghoultar growled menacingly at them while holding onto (Y/N).

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Ninja wake up groaning as they stand up realising that they were standing in front of a gate. It opened a man came walking down the steps to greet them.

"Welcome to the Cloud Kingdom, We've been expecting you. I'm Fenwick I've been asked to show you around..." The man said.

Jay was studying the ground. "How are we..." Jay said interrupting Fenwick. "Standing on a Cloud? Easy in other realms, there are other rules." Fenwick answered with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you I'm-" Kai began to say. "Kai. Yes, we all know you're all quite popular with the other Monks up here we see everything that goes on in Ninjago." Fenwick interrupted him.

"Then you know-" Cole started only to also be cut off mid-sentence.

"You've travelled far for the sword of Sanctuary, a powerful weapon that can foresee your opponent's next attack it's also the second clue to finding the tomb of the first Spinjitzu Master." Fenwick finished for him.

"Blimy! But How are you-" Zane said. "Finishing your sentences? I know it's rather annoying." Fenwick said with a smile at the boy's frustration and confusion.

"But up here, we know let's just say we know what's going to come next come I know Morro isn't far behind follow me and I'll explain." Fenwick said leading them inside.

"Then you must know about our two friends... Are Lloyd and (Y/N) okay?" Kai asked.

"I didn't see (Y/N) in battle did either of you?" Jay asked with a worried look on his face and both Zane and Cole shook their heads no sharing the same worry as their brother.

"Lloyd is still a prisoner to Morro but (Y/N) was taken prisoner by your crew but, they have not harmed her in any way... Yet." Fenwick said answering the question.

"What do you mean yet?" Jay asked stoping Fenwick to get his answer. "You'll see..." Fenwick said shaking his head and taking back his arm.

(Third Person P.O.V)

"Deepstone bars. You're never getting out of here. Now tell us, what's in the tomb that's so important?" Ronin hissed as he interrogated Ghoultar.

Ghoultar kept his protective embrace around (Y/N). Right now she was his only protection from the humans and Morro would destroy him if anything happened to the girl.

Sensei Wu glared at Ghoultar while Misako left to take care of poor Nya.

"What does Morro want?" Sensei Wu demanded pointing his staff at the ghost.

"Ghoultar never talk. Oops, Ghoultar talked. Uh, Ghoultar no talk from now on." Ghoultar said turning his head away from the pair.

"Oh, I'll get him talking." Ronin growled and raised his Aeroblade Ghoultar held (Y/N) in front of him like a shield.

"No, Ronin." Sensei Wu says stopping him with his staff. "We must find another way to get answers out of him. As for now, keep an eye on them, Ronin."

Ghoultar laughs and pats (Y/N) on the head. "Girl nice, girl best. Girl keep Ghoultar safe, Ghoultar keep girl safe."

"Don't worry, old man. I've got this." Ronin said twirling his blade in his hands.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Ninja and Fenwick walk into the library, where the monks were hard at work writing in their many scrolls.

"Wow, it's the Ninja." A monk said looking up from his work.

"I know you're familiar with a few of the Realms. The Cloud Kingdom is just one more of the Sixteen Realms that exist parallel to Ninjago." Fenwick informed them.

"Sixteen Realms?" Kai questioned as he watched the monks.

"In this realm, we strive for greater understanding and let go of distractions. There is no television, no video games—" Fenwick said only to be interrupted by Jay.

"No video games!? Not impressed." Jay announced his displeasure.

"It appears all any lad does here be writing." Zane pointed out watching the other monks busy at writing.

"That is because here, our words matter. You see, in the Cloud Kingdom, we are the writers of destiny. It was here that it was decided that Lloyd should be the Green Ninja. And just now, that Zane should find his voice again." Fenwick said with a chuckle.

"I sense my vocal pattern has returned without any repairs." Zane said in his normal accent.

"How'd that happen?" Cole questioned. "It was written." Fenwick chuckled at his own joke.

"Hey, guys, he's writing about Dareth!" Jay shouted after grabbing a glance at what the monk was writing accidentally causing the monk to spill ink on the scroll.

Back in Ninjago Dareth whistles as he waits at a set of lights. Then honks the X-1 Prototype's horns to get the attention of a nearby driver.

"Hey, Dan and Kevin what up?" Dareth says waving at the pair in the car. The brothers waved back. "Hey Dareth, Where are you going?" Kevin asked.

"I'm off too Ouroboros to see Jormungand while (Y/N) is away. Someone has to check in on her." Dareth told them proud of himself for doing the responsible thing.

The traffic lights quickly changed and Dareth went to leave but accidentally shifted it into reverse hitting the cement truck behind him, spilling cement onto the X-1 Prototype.

"Oh, poor Dareth." The Monk says giving Jay a dirty look, Jay nervously laughs in response. Fenwick sighed and shook his head.

"We must be careful each scroll here is a person's life, their destiny. Please, I can't stress it enough that you must not interfere with anyone's work." Fenwick said shaking his head at Jay who was blushing in embarrassment.

"Are our scrolls around here too?" Cole asked looking around at all the scrolls.

"Why yes, they are we are the writers of destiny... Well except of course Miss (Y/N) now that she has her Elemental Power." Fenwick chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Her destiny can no longer be written."

"Why is that?" Zane questioned causing Fenwick to merely smile at Zane.

"Are you not the one who's spent the most time over the Prophecy Scroll?" Fenwick answeres with a coy smile.

Zane recited the riddle on the Prophecy Scroll:

"-- Known by many names; known for many uses. Impossible to predict or direct, flowing free from the seal of fate with reckless abandon."

"In the realm of bright white good and pitch black evil, it is every shade of grey. A force for good or ill, but never shall it be controlled."

"A saving grace in your darkest hour or the harbinger of your untimely doom.--"

Fenwick gave them a smug look as it slowly started to sink in for three of them. Jay and Cole smacked themselves in the face.

"The riddle on the Prophecy Scroll is talking about Miss (Y/N)." Zane explained to a frustrated Kai.

"Remember what Sensei said about (Y/N)'s Elemental Power?" Jay said to Kai.

"What? That it's Karma?" Kai questioned. "Each wilder has chosen to call it a different name." Cole pointed out feeling like an idiot.

"Remember Kai, I explained to you that Karma is the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences." Zane explained once more to the Ninja of Fire.

"Oh..." Kai said finally catching on. "That is why Morro kidnapped her power can tip the scales of fate, changing it for good or ill." Fenwick said plainly.

"So wait. What is the part about the 'flowing free from the seal of fate' and 'never shall it be controlled' and the 'every shade of grey' stuff?" Jay questioned the snobbish Fenwick.

"Ah, that is simple Karma is a neutral balancing force. So if good is white and evil is black, Karma is grey." Fenwick explained to him with a smug look on his face.

"The 'flowing free from the seal of fate' refuse to the ability to defy the scrolls and 'never shall it be controlled' is that it must flow naturally and never forced into use or terrible things can happen." Fenwick continued showing off his knowledge on the subject.

"This great and all but if you know what's going to happen next, then you know how important it is for us to get the Sword of Sanctuary before Morro." Kai said stressing the importance of the mission.

"Yes, and I know you made a promise to save your friends but sadly, we cannot ensure that promise because we aren't allowed to choose sides." Fenwick said with a sigh before leaning over to whisper to them.

"And no one else will tell you this, but we had intended for Morro to stay in the Cursed Realm."

"What do you mean intended?" Cole asked raising an eyebrow. "He was never supposed to escape and now we're playing catch up." Fenwick continued to whisper to the Ninjas.

"Do you think we wanted you to become a Ghost?" Fenwick said to Cole. "That's preposterous."

"Ever since Morro broke free, things have been happening outside of our control. To be honest, we don't know how this will end." Fenwick admitted sadly.

"Then quit talking and give us the sword. We'll find the tomb and stop Morro." Kai insisted.

Fenwick let out a heavy sigh. "It is not that simple we aren't allowed to choose sides. If we were (Y/N) and her power would have never fallen into Ninjago's clutches."

"Wait. What was that about Miss (Y/N)?" Zane asked the monk. Fenwick did his best to word this as carefully as he could as not to upset the Ninja to much.

"I don't mean to sound rude but to be honest we were hoping that when (Y/N) defeated the great evil from her realm that she would end up here but instead she somehow ended up in Ninjago,"

"Miss (Y/N) would have been much happier here in Cloud Kingdom. We would have been able to help her with the great pain and burden that power places onto her,"

"Not to mention help her find peace with the nightmare she lived through all these years." Fenwick said with a bitter sigh.

"Wait, what great evil?" Cole asked as he folded his arms. "Has Miss (Y/N) not told you?" Fenwick questioned with a faux smirk. "I don't see why she wouldn't have told any of you."

"Look, this isn't important right now." Kai stated harshly not liking where this conversation was going. "We need you to give us the Sword of Sanctuary. How do we make that happen?"

"You would first have to speak with the Master Writer." Fenwick told them. "Fine, then show us to this Master Writer." Kai demanded starting to lose his temper.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Back on the bounty, Nya had finally regained consciousness. "What happened!?" Nya questioned as she sat up Sensei Wu and Misako hovered over her.

"You had a bit of a fight dear but it is alright now." Misako said helping Nya to her feet with a motherly smile on her face for Wu to see.

"I'm sorry to rush you Nya, but time is not on our side we must continue your training." Sensei Wu said. "Misako can you keep an eye out for the boys while Ronin continues to watch our guests."

"Guests?" Nya questioned looking to Misako for answers. "One of Morro's friends Ghoultar and (Y/N)." Misako informed her gently placing her hand on Nya's shoulder.

"(Y/N)'s back?" Nya questioned again this time turning to Sensei Wu. "Yes and No. She is physically here her mind is still under Morro's control." Sensei Wu admitted to her.

"But don't worry dear. (Y/N) seems to only respond to Morro's commands, Ghoultar can't have her to hurt us." Misako reassured a very pale Nya.

"Can I see her?" Nya asked her Sensei. "Not right now Nya you must train, (Y/N) is contained for now we will try to undo this mind control later but we must use our time wisely." Sensei Wu decreased and lead Nya off to train.

While with Ronin to pass the time Ghoultar dances to some music that Ronin is playing through the radio. Ghoultar was rather enjoying himself and having a blast.

(Y/N) was sitting down on the ground with a blanket that Ghoultar draped over her courtesy of Ronin.

"Ghoultar, did good?" Ghoultar laughed in enjoyment. "Ha! With basic vocabulary? Not so much. But being big and nasty? You deserve a medal." Ronin snorted at Ghoultar.

Ghoultar didn't appreciate Ronin's nasty words and growled back. "Convincing you were back in Samurai Cave."

"Quiet, you nasty ball of gas." Ronin shushed him Ghoultar just laughed.

"Remember deal you made with Soul Archer? Maybe time to make good." Ghoultar continued to mock Ronin.

"I'll make good, but not now. Don't worry, I'll keep my end of the bargain just as long as Soul Archer keeps his." Ronin hissed bitterly.

"It will be our little secret." Ghoultar laughs.
