Cyrus Borg did as he said he would and sent them two Video files one was from a phone the other Borg tower surveillance systems. The Ninja gathered back in the briefing room to watch them.

"The email said to watch the Security footage first then the phone one." Jay said and Zane loaded them for them all to see Kai had brought in some popcorn while Nya grabbed the drinks.

Sensei Wu took his cup of fresh tea and politely thanked Nya as she handed Misako hers.

Once everyone was settled and the lights were off Zane started the footage.

(Viewing the footage)

*The footage started off with Jormungand arriving at Borg Tower and all the residence of Ninjago city ran away screaming in terror.*

*Jormungand not caring, just letting out a yawn and curled herself around Borg tower to collect some warmth.*

"Um, do we know where that is now?" Kai asked his brothers only to be shushed.

*"Well, that takes care of informing the Serpentine that we have returned and don't worry Jormungand I'll protect you if anyone tries to hurt you, you have nothing to fear." (Y/N) affirmed patting Jormungand on her head.*

"Awww, Cute." Jay said out loud Cole went to smack him but passed right through him.

*Echo and Cyrus Borg coming out of the tower to see (Y/N), Dareth and Jormungand.*

*"Her name is Jormungand, she was being detained against her will on Chen's island. You'll have to forgive her she is very weak from her trip." (Y/N) informed Cyrus.*

*"Ah, Welcome Jormungand." Cyrus replied and Jormungand lifted her armoured tail and brought it back down in an attempt to say hello.*

"No but seriously, do we know where that is now?" Kai asked his brothers only to be shushed again.

*Echo asking about Zane and Echo rush forward to hug (Y/N) when she told him she'd found the Nindroid.*

Zane and Sensei Wu got teary-eyed at the brotherly love Echo had for Zane while everyone else glared daggers at Ronin who was sweating bullets.

*Min-Droid came walking out the front doors of Borg tower caring a tray of cookies and drinks for the group outside.*

"Hey! I thought they were all gone!" Kai demanded, Cole nodded in agreement and Nya had to put her hand over her brother's mouth to keep him from ranting on.

*"I see the White Nindroid Force is up and operational." (Y/N) said taking a drink from Min-Droid who saluted her while Dareth began to stuff his face with the tray of cookies causing Min-Droid to cring.*

*Cyrus Borg brags about the new Nindroid to (Y/N) but sees the worrisome look in (Y/N)'s eyes and starts questioning her on what happened on that Island.*

All the Ninja and Nya tensed up as they watched Dareth with a mouthful of cookies reported what he saw.

*"Those jerks attacked her and accused her of being a spy for that creepy Chen guy who kept hitting on her, not to mention he has a daughter the same age as (Y/N) and did nothing to stop the guy."*

Nya untensed and Ronin burst out laughing at the four Ninja. Jay and Cole hid their faces as Zane gave them both a harsh look of disapproval while Kai started to threaten Ronin and Sensei Wu had to keep them apart.

*(Y/N) shook her head refusing to speak. Cyrus understood and their conversation turned to Chen's army of creepy Anacondrai worshippers and Clouse's Book could lead (Y/N) to her home.*

Everyone but Ronin murmured in discomfort at the mention of the book.

*Skales and the Serpentine Generals arrived at Borg tower and Jormungand greeted them.*

*"When I heard the humans screaming about a second Great Devourer I thought they had lost their minds." Skalidor said still staring at Jormungand.*

"Seriously, a second Great Devourer shouldn't we be to look for that thing!" Kai hissed at the lot of them and Sensei Wu tapped him on the back of the head to get him to be quiet.

*"(Y/N), your band-mates informed us about what happened while they were on the island what do you have to report." Skales asked using his King of the Serpentine voice.*

*"Chen is a creepy fanboy for the Anacondrai and has some plot to destroy the Elemental Masters, his second in command has a book that could be my ticket home and they were holding Jormungand against her will." (Y/N) summed up.*

*"Don't forget that Nya tried to have you killed and the Elemental Masters attacked you." Dareth butted in causing (Y/N) to smack herself in the forehead.*

They all directed their attention to Nya who smack herself in the forehead. "Thanks, Dareth." Nya grumbled at the recording of the brown ninja.

*"You're welcome." The recording of Dareth answered.* Causing everyone to look back to the recording.

*(Y/N) was being grilled by Acidicus and begrudgingly explained to the King and Generals what had transpired between herself, Wu's ninja team and the Elemental Masters.*

Nya, Kai, Cole and Jay shrunk from the collective gaze of a disapproving Sensei Wu and a disapproving Zane all while Ronin laughed on. "Wow. And here I thought I was in trouble but you lot are toast."

*The recording continued showing very angry Serpentine taking the transgressions as a sign of war and (Y/N) putting a stop to a second war between the Elemental Masters and the Serpentine before it started.*

*"No! It doesn't! This is solely between the Elemental Masters and myself. The tribe is not involved in this."*

*"This is a personal matter, not a matter for the tribe this generation of Elemental Masters made themselves my enemy. Not yours."*

Sensei Wu let out a sigh of relief and Misako comforted him. Sensei Wu wasn't sure if his heart could take another war while the Ninja looked heartbroken at this.

*Skales and Skalidor began to try and comfort (Y/N). Letting it slip about their theorise about (Y/N)'s heritage and someone named Hela*

Nya and Misako were wearing sly grins on their lips at (Y/N)'s sadness while Misako also made sure to take note of that piece of information.

*Cyrus Borg begins to question them for answers and Skales admits that its a private matter and a great pain for the Serpentine and what started the war."*

This got everyone's attention as the recording ended. "Quick, play the second one!" Misako demanded and Zane played the footage from the phone.

*The footage started off with Acidicus was starting a fire in a trash can and spitting his venom into the fire.*

Jay and Zane shared a knowing look at one and other.

*"Before the war, the Great Anacondrai General Arcturus came across a terrible sight a village of surface dwellers were trying to kill a newborn surface dweller out of fear for the newborn's power."*

*The image of humans with pitchforks appeared in the flames ready to stab a defenceless baby.*

The entire room gasped all at once. "Scurvy Dogs! Make 'em walk the plank!" Zane cried out.

*"The Great Anacondrai General Arcturus refused to permit such an evil take place and charged into rescue the infant."*

*The image in the flames showed an Anacondrai chasing away the humans with pitchforks from the defenceless newborn baby.*

Everyone let out sighs of relief at the baby's rescue from the murderous mob.

*The fire then changed colours, from a bright, orange-yellow to turquoise as Anacondrai picked up the newborn baby.*

*"The Great Anacondrai General Arcturus named her Eris and adopted the hatchling as his own." Acidicus continued.*

"Wait?! What!" Cole and Jay shouted together and caused Zane to pause the footage. "As in the Eris, you said died in the war?" Cole questioned Sensei Wu. "As in the Elemental Master (Y/N) is related too?" Jay added.

Sensei Wu sadly nodded. "They are one in the same." Misako's eyes comically bulged at this information making Ronin snort but also making him wonder if he could sell a few Serpentine relics to (Y/N) like the blade cup.

"Let's continue watchin' th' footage, aye." Zane decreased starting the footage again.

*The image in the flames then changed to a village of the Serpentine underground.*

*"The young hatchling was raised alongside the other Serpentine hatchlings without fear or worry."*

*"Then one day the Serpentine were attacked the child fought alongside her elders to defend her home."*

*The flames changed colours again, from turquoise to violet showing and young lady fighting alongside the Anacondrai to defend her home and tribe.*

*"This was when her powers surfaced and it was revealed she was an Elemental Master." The flames changed colours again, showing the girl surrounded by defeated surface dwellers.*

*"Other Elemental Master's heard of this and tried to force the girl to leave the Serpentine but she repealed their advances every time, nothing the Elemental masters could do to separate her for the tribe that had raised her with love and she would defend them from all who threatened them."*

*The flames showed the Elemental Masters limping away from a battle and the girl standing victorious.*

"How often did that happen." Kai asked Sensei Wu and Misako. Misako looked to Wu who let out a sigh."Once word came to the Elemental Masters quite a few tried to strong arm the Serpentine to take the girl from them. It never ended well."

"Did you and Garmadon do that too?" Kai questioned his Sensei.

"Tensions were continuing to rise already before this was discovered so I went to speak with them about taking the girl in myself but they refused to hear me out."

"My brother on the other hand adamantly declared that we should leave it be, that she was the general's daughter and we should stay out of it but the others disagreed."

"Did our parents disagree?" Kai asked holding Nya's hand for support.

Sensei Wu chuckled slightly and nodded. "Your father disagreed more than your mother did he even tried quite a few time to "rescue" her on his own that never ended well. Your father wasn't the only one mind you but he was just as hothead as you Kai."

"Hey!" Kai hissed and Nya gave him a playful nudge on the shoulder as the rest of the group shared a laugh and went back to watching the rest of the footage but the laughter soon turned to cold deafening silence once the rest was discovered.

*"The young girl grew up into a beautiful woman who one day had a child of her own named Hela and a treaty was passed the Elemental Masters and the Serpentine."*

*The flames now turned a dark red shade showing a mother and daughter standing side by side.*

*"The Serpentine believed that there would be peace between the surface dwellers and the Serpentine but it was a trap."*

*"While training her own daughter as her father had trained her the Elemental masters attacked and killed the young woman and the young girl was never found."*

*"The Great Anacondrai General Arcturus grief-stricken by the betrail and murder of his daughter and kidnapping of his granddaughter went into battle to punish those Elemental Masters who broke the treaty."*

*The image then changed to a village of Serpentine underground ready to avenge their fallen loved ones.*

*"But the Elemental Masters had developed a weapon called the sacred flute and without the power of the daughter to protect them from it the Serpentine were sadly defeated."*

*The Serpentine in the shadows of the flames were suddenly hypnotised by two men with flutes that had appeared.*

*"They separated us from our friends and loved one in separate tombs." The Serpentine in the image were divided into separate tombs and a wall appeared behind them as if blocking them from returning to the city.*

*The flames then changed from yellow to red, and finally, returned to their normal colour and that's where the footage ends.*

(Third Person P.O.V)

"Did... Did that actually happen?" Jay said in shock. "Sensei that's a lie right the Elemental Masters didn't kill them right?"

Sensei Wu struggled to find his words as his students looked to him for an explanation. "Oh, Wu." Misako said hugging the man.

"Wait! Is that why (Y/N) is pissed at all of you!? Because you killed her grandmother? Because if that it I think its time it took my leave." Ronin said rather panicked that he may have accidentally painted a bigger target on his back by associating with the ninja.

"We didn't kill anyone this happened in the past but do feel free to leave." Nya hissed at Ronin.

"Sensei, you and Garmadon didn't do that did you?" Cole said asking the question on everyone's mind right now.

"No, My brother and I had no part in it." Sensei Wu answered truthfully and Misako breathed a sigh of relief. "T-then who did?" Misako questioned Sensei Wu.

"We never found out who committed the crime or even if they were an Elemental Master and not some inraged villager or if it was one of Chen's plots to profit off the war." Sensei Wu admitted to his students.

"It's late students I think it is time for bed." Sensei Wu spoke with a sad tone as he walked out of the room. Misako went after him in hopes of comforting him.

As the ninja and Ronin left Nya grabbed Jay by the arm which made Jay raise an eyebrow, Nya had his arm in a death grip with one hand and was stroking it with the other as she whispered.

"Jay, come by later. We need to talk." Nya said using her flirting tone as she sauntered off swaying her hips with a sly grin on her lips as she did.

Leaving Jay confused as to what Nya wanted to talk to him about.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Sensei Wu held his nice warm calming tea in his hands and took a deep breath.

He didn't want to admit it to his students but he was rattled by the fact that they had barely avoided another war with the Serpentine by the grace of a child was not a comforting thought.

Especially when considering that said child had been slighted by the Elemental Masters and the Ninja in multiple ways.

Sensei Wu took a deep drink from his cup to calm his nerves. All the worst case scenarios ran through his mind.

"What if the Serpentine hadn't listened? What if (Y/N) had agreed with the Serpentine and encouraged them to go to war?"

"The only way they defeated the Serpentine in the past war was with sacred flutes and even if they still had them they would have been useless against (Y/N) who would have joined them in battle just like her grandmother did."

Sensei Wu shuttered at the thought of facing those scenarios; Now wasn't the time to think about that. He had to face Morro to save his nephew and that is what he had to focus on at this point in time.

(Third Person P.O.V)

After parting ways after dinner Jay walked into his room all he wanted to do was lay down on his bed and try to process everything he had learnt today.

As Jay fumbling around for the light switch he was met with shock and uneasy once the light was on.

Nya was laying on his bed waiting for him. "Jay, remember our chat from earlier." Nya said pouring on her charm and Jay gulped.

"You said we needed to talk." Jay answered quietly unsure of what to do.

"This will be easy." Nya thought to herself.

"Honestly, she would be happy with either Cole or Jay but the Ninja of Earth was stubborn and would take more time to crack.

Jay, on the other hand, was weaker and constantly looked for assurance anywhere he'd find it."

"All it would take is a few nice words and Jay would forget all about (Y/N) and come crawling back to her and once again Nya would have someone to do her bidding again. It was a win-win."

"Yes, Jay. I may have made a mistake... And I miss you." Nya said pouting sadly at him.

Jay carefully selecting his words:

"It will never happen." And the instant Jay said those words to her. Nya dropped the act falling into cool anger directed solely at Jay.

"It won't happen because I don't love you anymore Nya. It's been nearly a year since you decided to cheat on me and now you decide to walk in here and do this thinking I'll just take you back."

"What does it matter?" Nya demanded angerly at Jay. "This wasn't going as she'd planned. Where was the weakling she'd left?"

Jay just stared at her in disgust his stomach turning. "What in the hell? Was Nya even a human being? Did Nya really think it would be that simple to manipulate him into getting back together with her? It sickened him."

Contrary to Nya's belief, Jay could see through her ploy. She just wanted someone to make her feel special again, she clearly didn't care about what he felt and thought she could just come in his room with his and try this crap!"

Jay's jaw was clenched when he spoke next.

"You hurt me Nya and you never even acknowledged it. You aren't even sorry for how you hurt me. You never apologized for your crimes Nya and that is why I will never take you back!"

To say Nya was stunned was an understatement, she had no idea what to say to that.

"Jay was angry with her and she didn't get why. Jay was supposed to be malleable, easy. She'd miscalculated." Nya though bitterly.

"You need to leave, Nya." Jay ordered and she did but not before say one final thing.

"You all can't have her, Jay. Someone's going to have to miss out." Nya hissed and with that Nya left Jay's room and went straight to her own, plotting all the way.

Leaving Jay to think about Nya's cruel words. Both unaware that someone else had been listening in.
