(Y/N) was sitting outside on the deck reading her book. It was currently her favourite thing to do.

(Y/N) had taken to ignoring the Ninja and the Ninja did the same. Which was working out just fine for both sides. It was actually quite peaceful, But unfortunately, Sensei Wu had other ideas.

(Y/N) sensed another presence with her, but I didn't bother to look up from her book. Sensei Wu continued to stand there, his gaze burning a figurative hole into (Y/N)'s head.

(Y/N) remained calm and continued to ignore the old man. She was well aware what he was trying to do. He was trying to get a rise out of her in hopes of finding a vulnerable spot to exploit.

Two could play that game; now was the time to conceal her strengths while in this enemy camp.

(Y/N) suppressed a smile this book filled with strategy's and schemes to defeat one enemies.

(Y/N) wondered how she'd even allowed herself to forget such helpful advice but it also raised questions why she had this advice in the first place.

(Y/N) had won this small victory with Sensei Wu walking away convinced she had not sensed his presence. But the war of wills was still to come.

Lloyd came bolting up to (Y/N) with a huge smile on his face and whispered into her ear what his uncle had asked him to do.

"Sounds like fun." (Y/N) said putting away her book and followed Lloyd inside. As they were walking inside (Y/N) noticed something sticking out of Lloyd's pocket.

It was the old man's lesson book.

(Y/N) grabbing the lesson book from Lloyd's back pocket and replaced it with a Starfarer comic that had been sitting on the counter they passed, and dumped the lesson book it the trash.

Their first target was Kai. They found him in the Ninja's gaming room, picking up a game console.

"Hey, Kai. Saw Cole beat your high score. You should have seen it. It was pretty spectacular!" Lloyd said as he looked through the door. (Y/N) was standing behind the door hidden from Kai's view.

"You must be talking about Sitar Legend. This is fist to face two! No one beats me on my game." Kai says proudly.

"Eh! Could be wrong. See ya!" Lloyd says and whistles as he walks away.

Kai checks the high score on his game and finds the Black Ninja's profile on the scores: 9370, 7277, 5759, 4209, and 3224

A few seconds later (Y/N) and Lloyd heard Kai shout: "COLE!!". (Y/N) and Lloyd both share a chuckle and walk to their next victim.

Cole was busy preparing dinner and hadn't noticed Lloyd open the door to the kitchen. Cole ducked out of the room for a minute and (Y/N) helped herself to some of Cole's cooking.

"Tastes pretty good." (Y/N) said taking another mouthful. "Don't know what those boys are whining about."

Lloyd went to spice up the dish but (Y/N) stopped him and scooped some of the Violet-berry soup into a plastic bowl for later.

Then nodded and Lloyd set to work. (Y/N)and Lloyd just barely managed to sneak back out as Cole walked back in.

"Mm-mm! Violet-berry soup, my culinary achievement. If the recipe is not followed exactly--" Cole says as he takes a bite of the meal he had made, but screams from the taste of the tainted meal.

"Oh hey Cole, where'd Jay go?" Lloyd asked innocently as he walked into the room. Cole gives him a look unable to speak.

"Cole, Don't mess with Jay's cooking it's not nice; plus Jay said that it needs more spice so I don't think it ready anyway. Bye, Cole!" Lloyd said grabbing a glass of water and leaving.

"Jay!" Cole hoarsely screams. His mouth still burning from the spice.

Lloyd and (Y/N) high fived each other and went in search of another to torment.

On the upper deck, Jay had on his kendo gear preparing for a routine with his sparring bot.

Jay pulled out his nunchucks saying "Let's ease our way into this. How about level 2, shall we?"

"Hi, Jay." Lloyd shouts down to Jay waving at him. Jay waves back at him as he swiches the sparring bot on, but it soon malfunctions and turns to level 9.

"Are you sure that's safe? Zane was repairing that earlier and said not to touch it." Lloyd shouted out to him.

"Wait! what?" Jay shouted back in a panic. The sparring bot starts hitting him. "No! No! Zane!" Jay cries out in pain and anger.

That left Zane. Who was in his pyjamas is about to hang his laundry as Lloyd and (Y/N) came up to him.

"Hello, Lloyd and (Y/N). What brings you up here this fine morning?"

(Y/N) ignores him and starts searching the laundry. Zane looked at Lloyd for an explanation.

Lloyd let out a sigh and said. "Kai was a jerk and now she's getting back at him by stealing his ninja suit, he threw it in with your ones earlier."

(Y/N) pulled it out and walked off with it. "Thanks," Lloyd said waving goodbye to Zane.

Zane confused, pulls out one of his ninja suits and discovers it is now pink and gets angry. "Kai!"

Without looking at each other Lloyd and (Y/N) bro-fist each other as they walked away.

____Timeskip___

The four ninjas were arguing with each other over who did what. Sensei Wu walked into their bedroom and pushed the door to the bathroom at the side.

There was (Y/N) and Lloyd enjoying the chaos and snacking on some chips, Lloyd laughed, almost sounding evil and just smirked and patted Lloyd on the head.

"HUH!? You two did this!?" The ninjas said at once. Now realising who was behind their misery.

"Boys! I get first dibs--" Cole declared before (Y/N) cut him off.

"You try and I break bones this time." (Y/N) hissed and got into fighting position ready to protect Lloyd. Cole made an angry sound towards (Y/N) and Lloyd and went to make a move, but Sensei Wu stopped him.

"No dibs! I put them up to this for today's lesson." Sensei Wu admitted.

"I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumours, and then jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble. Did you ever think about to find out if the accusations are true?" Sensei Wu questions the Ninjas.

"Uh... No offence Sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion. Today's lesson is lame." Cole says crossing his arms.

"Yeah! Why can't you teach us to paralyze an enemy with one finger? Or find out if he's lying with a twitch of his nose?" Jay agreed.

"Because not all lessons are about fighting! And I, misplaced my lesson book..." Sensei Wu admitted.

Kai spotted something sticking out of Lloyd's back-pocket. "You mean this lesson..." Kai lunged forward to grab it only for his arm to be sized by (Y/N).

"What did I just say." (Y/N) growled darkly and twisted Kai's arm painfully. Kai let out a yelp of pain.

"(Y/N) enough." Sensei Wu ordered but you just ignored him. "(Y/N) please stop, here he can have it." Lloyd pleaded handing over the book in his back pocket to the red Ninja.

(Y/N) let go of Kai's arm and tossed him to the floor. His brothers picked him up.

"Wait a minute! That's not the lesson book!" Kai said looking at the comic he'd been handed. No one noticed Lloyd's questioning face. "Hey! Isn't that the lesson book!" Jay said pointing to the garbage.

Nya's voice comes over the speakers. "If you're done fooling around. I could use you guys on the bridge. We do still have a snake problem to attend to. Over and out!" Nya says.

Kai gives (Y/N) a dark look and (Y/N) sizes him up. Cole grabs Kai arm and shakes his head.

"It's one thing to let the son of your nemesis and his babysitter live with you. But having my sister here? I mean, come on! I thought this was a Ninja headquarters." Kai hissed at (Y/N) trying to hurt her feelings.

(Y/N) just smirked at the red ninja for once again putting his foot in his mouth by accident.

Nya's voice comes over the speakers again "You do know I can hear you, Right? . . . Over and out!"

Kai pulls a face and storms out. The ninjas dash out after him. "How did you do that?" Lloyd whispers to (Y/N).

(Y/N) just smiles and hugs him saying. "Don't worry Lloyd I'll watch over you till you don't need me to anymore."

"Promise?" Lloyd asked looking up at (Y/N) with puppy eyes.

"Promise." (Y/N) agrees giving him another hug, unaware that Sensei Wu was watching them.

____Timeskip____

"There's little time. Kai and Jay. You head to the Venomary tomb. Cole and Zane you take the Constrictai tomb and take this. You might need it." Sensei Wu says, then hands the flute to Cole. "Good luck ninjas!"

"What am I gonna do?" Nya asked hopefully.

"Yeah! What are we gonna do!" Lloyd asked and pulled (Y/N) by the arm.

"Nya, I need you here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into any more trouble... And (Y/N), I need to talk to you." Sensei Wu says.

"Yes, Sensei." Nya says disappointed. (Y/N) gives the old man a filthy look.

"Let's go boys! We got some snakes to club." Cole says and they all rush out of the room.

"What did you want to talk about?" (Y/N) asked calmly hiding the harshness in her voice.

"Do you not want to talk in private?" Sensei Wu questioned studying her face. "You can ask your questions in front of everyone here." (Y/N) answered calmly her poker-face fixed in place.

Nya looked on curiously and, Lloyd was sitting with his back against the wall watching the banter.

"Very well." Sensei Wu said taking a seat at the table. (Y/N) chose to continue standing.

"I was wondering where you learned to fight so well." Sensei Wu questioned pouring himself some tea he offered some too (Y/N) who declined.

"As far as I know, I have never been formally trained." (Y/N) responded with a shrug.

"What! you're self-trained?" Nya asked in disbelief. "The same could be said of you, I've seen you using the training equipment here. You've all readily broken the red one's speed record." (Y/N) replied to Nya's question.

Nya chuckled nervously.

"Was that all you need?" (Y/N) asked getting ready to leave. "Actually I have one or two more questions." Sensei Wu said taking a sip of his tea.

"I would like to ask a few things about you myself." Nya added politely. "Can I ask a question too since everyone is." Lloyd asked raising his hand.

"Of course." (Y/N) says to Lloyd with a smile.

"I... um... Can I ask mine later?" Lloyd asked not being able to think of anything. Nya giggled at this and Sensei Wu chuckled to himself. (Y/N) merely smiled and nodded. "That will be just fine."

Nya raises her hand and says that it's her turn now.

"So what going on between you and my brother?" Nya teased trying to find some juicy dirt.

"He attacked me, and beat up Lloyd and continues to threaten Lloyd; I may one day have to kill your brother if he continues to do so." (Y/N) stated in a calm voice.

"Um... That isn't what I meant but I will talk to Kai." Nya gawked nervously.

"See that you do." (Y/N) warned with a straight face. "Though I dought that you will make much headway he is quite stupid and I have given him plenty of warnings."

"I believe that maybe this has been enough for one day. Oh, before I forget (Y/N) do you know who my brother is?" Sensei Wu asked watching her for any tells.

"Lloyd's dad and a living shadow." (Y/N) answered honestly.

"That is also not what I meant... I meant what he does; what he is known for?" Sensei Wu explained siping his tea again.

"Being Lloyd's dad and a living shadow." (Y/N) repeated honestly.

Lloyd laughed and Nya facepalmed. "I'll take that as a no." Sensei Wu said dismissing them all.

____Timeskip____

Sensei Wu was meditating in his room and Lloyd was playing video games.

(Y/N) had decided to seek out Nya to ask her a question.

"Nya, I would like to ask a question." (Y/N) said referencing the earlier discussion startling Nya half to death.

Nya yelped and looked at her. "A-and that would be." She asked steadying her breathing.

"Why are you not fighting alongside your brother and his allies?" (Y/N) asked her.

"What!?" She says a little confused.

"You have that armour you have been working on why do you not use it?" (Y/N) says. Nya's eyes widen. There is NO WAY someone could know about it.

"How do you know about that?" she asks panicked.

(Y/N) pauses for a moment. "You mean the others do not know?"

Nya shock her head no. "I will keep this a secret." (Y/N) said much to Nya's relief.

(Y/N) paused as she walked out the door. "I promised Lloyd that I would watch over him till he no longer needed me to. That is my secret." (Y/N) hinted to Nya.

Nya smiled at this ran into her room. Understanding what (Y/N) was hinting at.

Only a few seconds after Nya left, Lloyd came in. "Where did you go?" He asked he was holding Zane's pink suit.

"Just checking on something; what are you planning on doing with that?" (Y/N) said pointing at the pink suit.

"I was going to fix it." Lloyd admitted. (Y/N) let out a sigh. "If that is what you wish."

Lloyd and (Y/N) were standing next to the washing machine to get Zane's pink suit white again. They had washed it, at least eleven times, but it still was a pink. Lloyd let out a bored whine.

Nya came around the corner shouting for everyone to follow her. "What's going on!" (Y/N) shouted to Nya.

"We don't have time!" Nya shouted and rushed to the helm. "Search for the Ninjas with the light."

"What's happening!?" Sensei Wu asked. "I don't know!" Lloyd answered manning the lights.

"There!" Nya shouted, pointing at the ninjas lying, passed out on the ground.

____Timeskip___

Now it was dark outside. We were sitting together for dinner. (Y/N) and Lloyd sat next to Nya and Kai was on the other side of her, and Jay, Zane and Cole on the other side with Sensei Wu sitting at the head of the table.

Jay was just going on and, on about how a mysterious warrior came and saved them.

"--and just when we were about to bite it, this huge metallic robot--" He says until Zane cut him off.

"Samurai. It was a Samurai." Zane corrected him.

"A samu-what?" Lloyd asked confused.

"Samurai. The highest level of the warrior class. They would protect nobility and serve on the battlefield." Sensei says, more detailed.

"He was a hundred meter high with weapons coming out of every part of him..." Kai says waving his arms in the air.

"Look at Sensei's beard. It's moving like snakes!" Kai suddenly yelled spilling some of his dinner.

(Y/N) turn her head to Nya just in time to see her hit the back of her brothers head for his dumbness. This brought a smile to her face.

"When is this Venomari spit supposed to wear off? It's starting to get annoying." Nya says glaring at Kai who was staring at (Y/N) blankly as if he was trying to figure out who she was.

Kai then proceded to try and feed (Y/N) a dumpling, waving it in front of her face in hopes of getting her to take a bite.

"No!" (Y/N) says annoyed and pushes his hand back towards him. Kai pouts and tries again. "Come on cutie; eat something you're far too skinny." Kai insisted bringing the dumpling back up to (Y/N)'s mouth.

Cole and Jay burst into laughter. Zane just looks at Kai confused. "Nya! Control him or I hurt him." (Y/N) declared grabbing a fork.

Nya quickly grabbed Kai's arm and took the dumpling off of him.

"Okay, let focus on what's really important. All the Serpentine are out and trying to unite. The legends say that some Great Devourer is going to consume the land and..." Cole says.

"Great devourer?" Nya asked struggling to keep Kai seated.

"Whatever it is, it's a can of worms I don't wanna see open." Cole declares.

"At least we have the sacred flute in our possession, so--" Sensei Wu begins but was cut off by Jay.

"Yeah, about that..." Jay says and spills his water.

"A big purple one... sort of... stole it..." Zane says and rubs the back of his head.

"The last sacred flute... Gone!? You four are Ninjago's last hope." Sensei Wu sighed.

Just as an alarm began to ring.

"Cold vision must have got something, so that means the Serpentine are near!" Nya says reading the alarm warning.

"Oh no! Ninjago city!" Cole says as they all rush over to the bridge.

"How many are there?" Cole asked standing in front of the map.

"Looks like all of them." Jay replied. "They must be trying to unite." Zane says.

"Go! We mustn't let the five clans unite!" Sensei Wu ordered. The Ninja use spinjitzu to change their clothes. Zane's is still pink, and Kai couldn't spin properly.

"Ninjago's doomed." (Y/N) says as Kai screams fill the air as the Ninja's leap into action.

____Timeskip___

"You know, I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it wasn't for Zane." Jay said proudly.

"Don't thank me, thank Lloyd." Zane said. "If it hadn't been for his 'laundry skills,' we all would've been found." Everyone started laughing at that.

"Well, it took me 20 loads, but your suit's no longer pink. And to show that I have no hard feelings, Cole, I got you a can of nuts." Lloyd said pulling out a can of nuts.

"Don't think I don't see what this is. When I open this, a bunch of snakes are going to pop out, right? No thank you." Cole said walking over to the fridge.

When he opens the fridge, a bunch of rubber snakes pop out.

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" Cole screamed and fell on his butt.

Everyone but Cole laughed and (Y/N) high fived Lloyd. Once everyone had had their laugh and gone there separate ways.

(Y/N) pulled Cole aside and handed him the Violet-berry soup that she had saved for later.

Cole looked a little confused. "It tasted pretty good seemed a shame to waste it on the old man's lesson." (Y/N) admitted and walked off. Leaving a stunned Cole behind.

(Y/N) rejoined Lloyd who was getting ready for bed. "Hey, where did you go?" Lloyd asked.

"I also fixed something today." (Y/N) answered slipping into bed. Lloyd decided he would also share that bed and wriggled in beside (Y/N) and immediately fell asleep.

(Y/N) smiled softly and wrapped her arm around him. Feeling like a big sister. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
