(Third Person P.O.V)

(Y/N) grabbed Dareth and lept out of the way as a spiked rattle-tail came careening toward the pair in the tunnels.

The spiked tail belonged to a large purple Anacondrai Serpent.

"There's something you don't see every day." Dareth said bemused. "It another Great Devourer only smaller."

The Anacondrai Serpent bright neon pink eyes locked onto Dareth opened its large fangs and let out a mighty hiss knocking (Y/N) and Dareth backwards from the sheer force of its breath.

"RUN!" Dareth screamed still being held under (Y/N)'s arm as though he was a helpless child.

At Dareth behest (Y/N) quickly retreated further back into the winding labyrinth of tunnels with the large Anacondrai Serpent literally nipping at her heels.

"Go faster, must go faster!" Dareth screamed as (Y/N) lept over fallen parts of the celling.

"Not helping!" (Y/N) shouted at him coming up on an obstacle. (Y/N) had no choice but to through Dareth over the debris and slid underneath it in one fluid motion Dareth screaming the whole time till (Y/N) caught him in her arms on the other side.

The Anacondrai Serpent smashed its spiked tail through the walls from an opposing tunnel.

Dareth hysterically screamed and flailed accidentally clocking (Y/N) in the face causing her to drop him.

"Sorry." Dareth squeaked before (Y/N) could say anything the Anacondrai Serpent smashed its head through the tunnel

The Anacondrai Serpent was so close to (Y/N) she could see the blue and lavender scales on the Anacondrai Serpent forehead.

(Y/N) took a deep breath and said in a sombre voice "I'd rather not hurt you being as you are Serpentine but you leave me with no choice." and prepared to strike in defence when Dareth stepped forward.

"Dareth, what are you doing!" (Y/N) demanded. "I'm going to use Zoojitzu... If this doesn't work feel free to jump in and save me." Dareth said his bravado failing him with every word.

Dareth began to hiss and snap at the Anacondrai Serpent and the Anacondrai Serpent hissed and snapped back.

(Y/N) watched in morbid fascination as the brown ninja spoke to the Anacondrai Serpent and the Anacondrai Serpent spoke back they seemed to be having a rather pleasant conversation.

"(Y/N) you live with the Serpentine, right?" Dearth questioned her. (Y/N) was so stunned by Dareth's Zoojitzu that she almost couldn't answer him.

"Y-yeah." (Y/N) replied and Dearth brought her over to the Anacondrai Serpent for the Anacondrai Serpent to sniff her with its tongue to verify the brown ninja's claims.

Anacondrai Serpent was suddenly thrilled after smelling (Y/N) delighted to meet a member of the tribes once more and started to nuzzle her.

"Aww. She's happy to meet you." Dareth informed (Y/N) who was eyeing the large serpent with suspicion.

The Anacondrai Serpent began telling (Y/N) its story with Dareth translating for her.

"Humans had always shunned her kind viewing them only as devious creatures. To them, the Serpentine were the embodiment of evil, to be feared, loathed and avoided at all costs."

"The Serpentine lived in fear of the human's baseless attacks every day. Until her master had told her that they could stop the humans."

"But it didn't work. Now she was nothing more then obedient minion made simply to carry out his master's wishes."

"She had no company in this place; a chamber designed specifically for keeping her inside accordance to her master's wishes. Being a cold-blooded creature, she craved the sunlight that so very rarely shone into the tunnels."

"Shut inside his lightless prison, she had an endless amount of time and not much to amuse herself with."

"Therefore, she spent many hours of the day, lonely and often resorted to amusing herself with the echoes her hisses she made in the darkness to keep herself amused."

"Sure master feed her. But he didn't even both to know that she was a she and not a boy. He didn't even know her name he always called her 'Pet'. It was Jormungand for hissing out loud."

"All she desired now was another of her kind; She also wondered could she come home with (Y/N) to reunite with the other Serpentine?" Dareth finished translating.

Much to Jormungand delight (Y/N) agreed to her request as a show of happiness Jormungand licked the pair.

"Ewww." Dareth said wiping himself off. "Dareth when this is all over do yo think you can teach me Zoojitzu?" (Y/N) asked climbing up on Jormungand's back.

"(Y/N) I would be honoured to have you as a student." Dearth said joining her on Jormungand back.

Author Notes:

1) Why Jormungand: In Norse mythology Jormungand was the serpent who grew so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail. It is an example of an ouroboros. Felt it was very fitting.
