(Third Person P.O.V)

Sensei Wu was meditating in his room when he was disturbed by the Ninjas making noise.

Sensei Wu thought it was them playing video games. Put his old flute back in its place in the casket. He then walked over to where the Ninja played their games, but no one was there. The tv wasn't even on.

This time Sensei Wu walked to where the Ninjas should be training. Which they were actually doing today.

Jay was training with his nunchucks. Cole was trying to beat the course, Kai was practising spinjitzu and Zane was meditating.

All of sudden Zane sprang up and began to jump everywhere. Landing in front of Jay causing him to lose focus, then Zane took Cole's scythe and slicing bits off of the course, which confused Cole.

Then Zane proceeded to do Spinjitzu. Spinning around, freezing where he just had been causing Kai fall on Zane's ice.

"This roof isn't big enough for the four of us!" Kai said pissed off. "Correction, this roof isn't big enough for him." Cole corrected Kai.

"It's like his in his own world. I bet he can even HEAR us!" Jay said saying the last part higher so that Zane should hear him.

Zane did not. He just threw his shuriken and kicked the air. Sensei Wu came to the three others.

"Sensei. Zane's... Weird!" Kai struggled to admit.

Sensei Wu raises an eyebrow. "What is weird? Someone who is different or someone who's different from you?" Sensei Wu asked.

"No Sensei! He's weird, weird." Cole explained then started telling everyone about the time walked in on him sitting on the toilet.

Jay told them about when he and Nya watching a sad movie while crying and Zane just laughed through the entire thing.

Kai then told them about the time he opened the fridge, and in the fridge was Zane just about to eat a sandwich.

Sensei Wu looked at Zane. Who was bowing to a training dummy and hit his head on it.

"We like the guy, he is really smart, he's just... a little off.. sometimes." Kai admitted sadly.

"Zane is your brother and brothers are often different. I should know..." Their Sensei said just as the doorbell sounded.

"Mail!" Cole, Kai and Jay shouted when they heard it.

The mailman delivered the mail he had to the red, blue and black ninja. Cole ran away with his package to the dragon pens as the mailman sighed and made his way down the mountain. Again.

Zane was looking a bit sad. Jay saw that and said. "Hey Zane, how come you never hear anything from your parents?"

"I don't remember my parents. I have been an orphan all my life..." Zane said. "You mean you never had a home?" Kai asked. Zane shook head looking sad. 

"The monastery is your home now." Sensei Wu said Zane just sadly walked away without saying anything.

(Third Person P.O.V)

(Y/N) had constructed a tent out of white sheets to serve as a makeshift outside dining area slash first aid tent for the Hypnobrai.

"Hey! If we plan to rule Ninjago from here, this tree house will need more trapdoors! I want more traps!" (Y/N) could hear Lloyd shout.

"As you wish, young Garmadon!" The general said and pointed at Scales for him to do it.

"As "you"  wish... General..." Scales said you could hear the ice in his voice.

(Y/N) rang the dinner bell for all the Hypnobrai to hear and shouted out. "Food's ready come and get it."

The Hypnobrai cheered and started to lick their lips. Even Scales mood improved hearing this.

The Hypnobrai quickly lined up taking a bowl of stew from (Y/N) as she scooped it out of a large cauldron they had used to cook food.

Once this was done (Y/N) sat next to Lloyd to enjoy her own bowl. Before she could take a mouthful Lloyd asked: "What's your name?"

"I go by (Y/N)." She said preparing to take a bite.

"Do you know who I am?" Lloyd questioned. Sensing where this was going (Y/N) put down her bowl and proceded to answer the boy's inquisitive questions.

"Not a clue." (Y/N) answered Lloyd looked at her for a while then he said: "I'm the son of darkness! Lloyd Garmadon!"

"Garmadon?  I've meet something by that name before it led me to my weapon the Meteor Hammer."

"You've met my dad!?" Lloyd shouted in surprise. "It  was some kind of living shadow but it called itself Lord Gamadon." (Y/N) informed the little boy.

"That's him! That's my dad." Lloyd shouted excitedly.

"I always thought he was a hallucination. Guess not."  (Y/N) said shrugging final being able to eat her meal.

(Ninjas P.O.V)

The ninjas, Nya and Sensei Wu were gathered around the table.

"I love when it's Zane's night to cook!" Jay said with joy in his voice.

"Hey, I didn't hear any complaints about my duck last night." Cole said with a smile.

"That's because it glued our mouths shut. You really  thought Jay was speechless all through the dinner?" Kai questioned him.

"Yeah, please don't make that again." Jay said crossing his arms.

Zane came into the room with dinner. He wore a pink apron with flowers on. Everyone laughed at that. Zane didn't understand what they were laughing at.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"Zane. You're wearing a... Even I wouldn't wear that." Nya said chocking down some laughter.

"You laugh because I take steps to make sure I'm clean after cooking?" Zane asked confused.

"No! We laugh because you came wearing that ridicules outfit!" Kai laughed.

"I guess we don't share the same sense of humour." Zane said. "Sigh, well how about this?" Cole said and through a plate with food in Kai's face.

Everyone but Zane laughed. Sensei-Wu came from behind and poured a bowl of something over Cole's head, making everyone laugh again. "Now you are brothers." Sensei Wu said with a smile.

This exploded into everyone throwing food at each other and laughing. Everyone except Zane.

___Later That Night____

Zane was throwing away the rests from the dinner and the pink apron. Suddenly he heard a falcon's call. He looked at a tree nearby and saw a falcon sitting on a branch.

He tilted his head at the side and so did the falcon. Zane shook his head lightly and so did the falcon.

Zane did a little dance with his arms and legs and once again the falcon copied him. Zane smiled at his newfound friend. The bird then jumped away from the branch and flew away. Zane smiled and followed.

The bird flew deep into the woods; Zane still following. It landed on a branch and looked behind to see if Zane was still with him. Zane saw the tree house and snakes working on it.

____The next day____

The Ninjas were running through the forest. Zane had told them that he had followed the bird and found Lloyd's base. 

"How do you think Zane knows where he's going?" Kai asked under his breath.

Zane stopped and waited for his friends. "Tell us again how you stumbled over Lloyd's secret headquarters." Kai said to Zane.

"I followed the bird." Zane said simply. "Why did you follow a bird?" Jay questioned Zane.

"Because it danced." Zane pointed out. "Oh, okay... Was it a cuckoo bird?" Jay joked while Cole and Kai laughed.

"Of course not. Everyone knows cuckoo birds doesn't live in this forests." Zane said and continued running.

The other ninjas looked at each other, shook their heads and ran after Zane.

They stopped after they heard Lloyd's voice.

"Holy cannoli! Frosty was right!" Cole exclaimed. "We can't let out those snakes get a foothold in Ninjago. We gotta destroy that thing before it becomes operational." Kai stated.

"Whoow! Are you sure, it looks like a pretty cool tree house. There's a ropes course, oh, a tree swing--" Jay said until Cole cut him off.

"Hey! Remember whose team you're on! All right guys, what do we do?" Cole ordered taking charge.

"It looks like the entire place is being supported by those three trees." Kai said and pointed out the three trees. "Once those ties are severed the whole place will fall like a house of cards."

"But why would one make a house of cards? Such construction would be careless." Zane asked.

"Oh brother!" Kai sighed. "Traveling shadows boys!" Cole ordered and jumped away with a flip.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The four Ninjas were hiding in the shadows. The Ninja's spotted (Y/N) in the white tent helping some injured Hypnobrai.

She was carefully wrapping a bandage around the unfortunate Hypnobrai hand. "There now, All better." She said in a motherly tone. "Here you can even have a treat for being such a good patient." Handing the injured Hypnobrai a lollypop.

"Thanksssss." The Hypnobrai said taking the treat off the kind girl.

(Ninjas P.O.V)

The four Ninjas gawked at this from their hiding place in the shadows.

"Look it's Mystery Girl..." Cole whispered to his friends. "I noticed her too..." Jay whispered back.

"She appears to be treating the snake's injuries." Zane stated."I don't know why she trusts the snakes and the kid." Kai responded.

"He said that she was with them... but I could see that she was as surprised as we were when they declared that..." Zane pointed out.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Kai snuck forward and cut a rope. The place didn't move much. "You! hold up that sign for me!" Lloyd shouted to a snake.

The Hypnobrai held up a sign with No Ninjas!!! written on it. Lloyd tried chuckled darkly but failed as he pulled a lever. A trap opened and the unfortunate Hypnobrai fell down.

"Hehehe... Trapdoor!" Lloyd shouted.

(Y/N) spotted some colours that shouldn't be in this treehouse. It was the ninjas. They saw that she was looking at them her eyes narrowed.

"Cowards!" (Y/N) shouted and charged up the tree after them "Ninja Go!" Jay shouted and made a light blue tornado which was sparkling with thunder. 

The tornado cut down the rope. And when it did, the whole thing tilted to the side. The Hypnobrai started raining from the sky.

"Ninja Go!" Zane shouted doing the same thing as Jay. Now the treehouse had only one rope to hang into. Lloyd shouted. "I said! "No ninjas! Attack!"

"Everyone, retreat!" Scales shouted. The snakes listened to Scales and fled.

Scales saw Cole and shouted: "You! Do as I command..." Scales demanded. "I will obey your every command..." Cole murmured and bowed at Scales.

"Where is Cole? This whole place is coming down!" Kai asked Jay and Zane.

Cole jumps down from where he was standing and landed in front of the other ninjas, with his weapon drawn.

"No one goes anywhere until you deal with me!" He growled his eyes red from being hypnotised.

Cole walked angrily towards his friends. They didn't wanna hurt him so they backed away from him.

"What has gone into him?" Kai panicky questioned. "He's under their control." Zane answered Kai's question.

"Yeah, Well, he better snap out of it because this whole place looks like it is about to go down!" Jay shouted to the others.

Scales pulled a lever so that Lloyd fell down through it. Lloyd screamed when he fell. Some other snakes that also saw this and clapped their hands some even saluted him.

(Y/N) ran around the corner just in time to see Lloyd fall. "Oh Brick! Hang on kid!" (Y/N) shouted completely forgetting about the Ninja and going to rescue the small child.

"Interesting girl." Scales said. "Now, to get the staff!"

The ninjas were still backing away from Cole, who was swinging his scythe against them.

"Oh come on, friends don't hit friends." Jay pleaded to the hypnotised Cole.

Cole didn't care and kicked Jay in the face. "Oh, okay, I'm gonna ignore that." Jay said while rubbing his cheek.

Cole began to hit and kick against the other ninjas. He swung his scythe at Kai who dodged it.

"What are we supposed to do? If I use my sword this thing will go up in flames faster than a tender box." Kai pointed out as he and the others dodged the scythe.

"The anti-venom in the staff!" Zane shouted out the solution. "But the staff is back at the monastery." Jay cried out.

Cole spin-kicked Kai in the stomach sending Kai flying through the air. "Jay! Use your lightning to shock him out of his trance!" Kai shouted to Jay.

"Sorry Cole, this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it's gonna hurt me!" Jay said and began to swing his nunchucks.

Jay let lightning escape the nunchucks hitting Cole in the stomach. Cole flew backwards and landed on his back. Jay looked proud with his arms crossed over his chest.

___Timeskip___

(Ninja P.O.V)

After Zane left, he still hadn't come back. The Ninjas were sitting under something they made up my some wood and a bit of cloth. In the middle, there was a fire to keep them warm. Sensei Wu, Nya, Kai, Jay and Cole were grilling a worm-like thing.

"What are we eating again?" Kai asked not liking the thing they were eating.

"...Mudnoor... Not that bad for something that lives underground." Cole said.

"What?! Eww!" Jay said spitting out what he had in his mouth. It landed perfectly into an empty tin. "Hey! New high score!"

"Remember, we must be thankful for what we still have" Sensei Wu said like the Sensei he is.

"What DO we have? Our home is gone." Cole said and sounded really depressed.

"You know, I don't miss our home... What I really miss is Zane." Kai said also sounding depressed. "Yeah, Zane." Jay agreed with Kai.

"Zane?" Nya said and looked somewhere else.

"Yeah! Zane! You know. White ninja! The strange one." Jay said to Nya thinking she forgot him.

"No! Zane!" Nya shouted and pointed at Zane.

"Zane!" Everyone shouted at the same time.

Zane walked over to his friends and they walked over to him.

"Zane! We're so sorry for everything we said! We're a team and that means we're all responsible!" Jay apologised.

"You don't need to apologize to me." Zane said with a smile.

"But what about all of those awful things we said? Isn't that why you left?" Kai asked.

"Of course not! I saw the falcon again and I followed him." Zane said calmly.

"That's our Zane!" Cole said happily and hugged him. So did the others.

"We're happy to have you back." Nya says. "Why? Is it my turn to make dinner?" Zane questioned. Everyone laughed. "Yes, Zane! We would love for you to make dinner!" Sensei Wu said.

"But I already made it! Come I want to show what I found. I think you all will be pleased." Zane sais leading them down the hill. The others following right behind. When he stopped, he turned around at his friends.

"I... can't explain it but I feel a strange connection with the falcon. I think he is trying to help, showing us the path we need to take." Zane said then they walked around a corner and found a boat.

"Our new home!" Zane said proudly. With some gasps from the others Jay was the first one to speak. "Do I smell pie?!" He asked.

"Cobbler and I made berry and apple and--" Zane said but then Cole's chuckle cut him off.

Kai, Cole, Jay and Nya began to run towards the boat.

"I'm proud of you Zane! One day I promise we will find your family!" Sensei Wu said put his hand on Zane's shoulder.

"But I've already found them!" Zane said looking at the others. "I feel there's something special about you Zane." Sensei Wu said smiling at his student.

"Sensei... Will I become the green ninja?" Zane asked.

"If it's in your path you will know... Come now! It would be a shame to let them eat all that pie!" Sensei Wu said and they began to walk towards the boat.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Lloyd and (Y/N) had been sent away from the Serpentine crypt. Lloyd sighed heavily.

Well... Lloyd had been sent away... Skales had offered to let (Y/N) stay but she had declined the offer saying that she was not one that turned her back on a child.

Lloyd continued to walk with a sad look on his face. She smiled weakly and took his little hand in hers. Lloyd snapped his face in her direction. (Y/N) looked at him and smiled. His face lit up.

"Where are we going?" Lloyd questioned. (Y/N) smiled at him and answered. "To the people that gave me my name."
