Nya an (Y/N) watched in silence as Echo and Cyrus Borg loosened the ninja's headrests one by one.

Echo sent (Y/N) and Nya a hopeful smile as Cyrus Borg pressed the main switch, awakening the ninja's from the digital realm.

They had managed to reboot the system, which meant that the robots of New Ninjago City had returned to normal, leading the Nindroids to flee the city.

The citizens of Ninjago were currently celebrating outside.

Echo let out a sigh of relief as Zane slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a few times and glanced at his hands as if to make sure he was back in the real world.

Echo ran over to Zane and greeted him with a hug. "You're back!" Zane smiled and give Echo a hug as well.

Then Sensei Garmadon was looking out of the window down at his brother hanging from a narrow flagpole sticking out of the tower wall a few stories down to the left.

"You all did it." Sensei Wu said a proud sparkle in his no longer red eyes. Rebooting the system had also turned him back to his old self.

"Just stay still brother, well find a way to get down safely." Sensei Garmadon said to his trapped brother on the flagpole.

"Sensei! You're back!" Jay shouted down at him with a grin. "I knew you'd be back." Kai said happily. Cole waved down at him.

Sensei Wu just smiled up at them.

"So the system is completely clear?" Zane asked Cyrus Borg as he typed away on the controls and keyboard.

"There is no evidence of the digital Overlord." Cyrus Borg said as he turned around and faced them with a smile. "He is erased."

Everyone cheered. Only Sensei Garmadon and (Y/N) stayed silent.

"But what about Lloyd?" Sensei Garmadon asked you could almost feel the anxiety and fear coming from him, as he anxiously clutched onto his gi as Cyrus Borg turned on the communication system.

"Lloyd?" Cyrus Borg asked. "Can you hear me?"

They all nervously stared at the blank screen as Cyrus Borg tried again. "Lloyd, do you read me?"

Nobody even dared to move an inch as they waited for a response. What felt like hours went by in silence until the screen finally turned on.

"I'm here." A familiar voice sounded off and the heart monitor line on the screen in front of them jumping up and down. "I'm alright!"

The ninja cheered as Sensei Garmadon took a step forward. "Son? Where are you!?"

"Dad? You're alive!" Lloyd's voice was just as full of joy as his fathers. "Um, I'm in a remote village."

"Stay where you are." Sensei Garmadon told his son the relieved smile not leaving his face even for a second. "We're coming to pick you up."

"Good, cause " Lloyd's dry chuckle echoed through the computer. "My golden power's a little spent."

(Y/N) stumbling forward. Cyrus Borg spun his chair around and caught her as she fell forward.

Part of Cyrus Borg was exhilarated. The other was concerned. (Y/N) pupils were unevenly dilated. "She has a concussion!" Cyrus Borg reported and like that Jay and Zane whisked her out of Cyrus Borg arms and to the first aid bay.

_____(Y/N) P.O.V _____ The present _____

It should have ended there the ninja's all reunited and me going back to my life. But It didn't... All because... All Because...

It was my fault. That was all I could think looking up at Zane's titanium ninja statue as the funeral continued.

"All because I tried to control it... I tried to control my powers, forcibly use it in the fight... I was trying to influence the fight along... To get this over and done with so I could get back to my life... My ninja free life... I... Zane... This was my punishment... Zane is dead and it's my fault..."

I hold onto Echo as he wept in my arms the best he could. Cyrus Borg was on stage giving a speech but I wasn't listening...

"I had done this... Echo was suffering the loss of his brother... The only family he had... All because I was too feeble-minded... "

The ninja and the Sensei's were doing there best not to start screaming at each other again. Blame and threats were thrown around ever hour now at each other.

Sensei Wu blamed me for the team falling apart and that leading to Zane demise.

According to Sensei Wu "I was the worst person in the realm." Though I think he was parroting Misako Garmadon his not so secret crush.

While I disagree with him on the first half, I 'am responsible for Zane's death just not in the way he thinks.

If anyone was to blame for the team falling apart it was Nya, she was the one that went and used that stupid machine and cheated on Jay with Cole.

After Zane parting from this mortal realm, Nya had asked Cyrus Borg in front of Cole, Jay, Kai and myself about the true love machine.

It turned out that it didn't even work and was in that room because it was faulty and they were still working on it to see where it had gone wrong.

I couldn't even find joy in Nya's horrified and embarrassed face when the truth came out. I'd much rather have Zane back then be right.

Kai was mad at everyone but mostly took it out on Jay, Jay was living with Echo and I now; as far away from the rest of the Ninja as he could get.

Nya had tried to talk to him before the funeral which turned into Nya screaming and crying after Jay announced. "I don't want to talk to you, This is about Zane, not you!" and stormed off to give his speech.

I looked up when I realised Jay was standing in front of me with tears flowing down his face. I pulled him into the hug with Echo and they both sobbed harder.

Cole was standing off to the side he lowered his hand Jay must have pushed past him and come straight to Echo and me for a hug. Jay had been ignoring Cole all day they were no longer friends in Jay's eyes

I don't know who Jay blamed in all this and I hadn't even heard a peep out of Cole since Zane's death.

I looked back up at the statue tears running down my face, I didn't even try to hide them.

Tears were a weakness and weakness was punished, and right now I deserved all the punishment in the world...

This deleted itself on my computer. It's so frustrating and Season 3 is my most hated season and the plot is a little too convoluted for my liking but this is my story so I'm going to write it my way so...
