For the past two months, the Ninja, Nya, Dareth and Sensei Wu had been working as teachers at Sensei Wu's new academy which had replaced Darkly's School for Bad Boys. To be honest, the job was worse than it seemed.

A kid suddenly burst through the door, interrupting Cole's class. "Come quick! Mr Zane's on the fritz!"

Cole quickly followed the students into the nearest classroom and was met by an unfortunate sight. "What's going on here?" Cole asked as he entered the classroom.

"Brad's got an ultra-remote from New Ninjago City and its controlling Mr Zane!" a red-haired student giggled as she watched Zane dance on the teacher's desk.

"Up. No, down-" Zane stuttered as he tried to fight the control.

Cole grabbed the remote from Brad's hand in an attempt to help his friend. "How do you turn this thing off?!"

Cole desperately tried to turn the remote off but didn't succeed until he smashed it against a table.

"Aw, Mr Cole's the worst!" Brad complained.

"I heard that!" Cole's voice was drowned out by the bell and the sudden stream of students, running to play.

Cole sat down with a big sigh and tiredly leaned himself against the teacher's table. "Recess. My favourite time."

The remaining Ninja's arrived in the teacher's office, they were immediately met by the sound of Jay's complaints.

"Alright! Who took my pudding cup?" Jay asked as he closed the fridge. " My name was clearly written on it!"

Cole smirked as he threw a plastic cup in the trash bin. His face was clearly covered in pudding. Jay looked as if he was about to explode. "I'm telling Sensei!"

"No, you're not. Leave me out of it." Sensei's voice could be heard from the room adjoining to the office." I'm on break too."

Kai sighed and threw a dessert from his own bag towards the Blue Ninja. "Relax, Jay. You can have mine."

Jay caught the pudding with a disappointed expression. "But this isn't cold..."

Zane sat beside him on the bench and used his elemental powers to chill the dessert down.

Jay sent him a thankfully smile and immediately dug in. As he ate, he looked around with a sigh.

"I wish Lloyd was here suffering with the rest of us... Being stuck here being teachers with no powers? and... I miss (Y/N)..."

Cole glanced up from his newspaper. "Jay... We all miss her, that's what Lloyd's doing right now. If she did make it out alive he'll find her."

"What if she didn't?" Kai asked sadly.

Kai was interrupted when Nya entered the room and quickly shut the door behind her. "Why is that when I teach, I get the feeling that no one is listening?"

Jay waved to Nya. "Hi, Miss Nya." Jay teased. Nya placed her hands on her hips with a growl at him. "Boundaries."

Nya had become a lot more controlling and bossy with Jay. "Hey, did you guys hear the news? We got clearance for a field trip!" Nya continued ignoring her boyfriend.

The ninja all groaned disappointedly as Nya continued. "But not just any field trip. A field trip to tour Borg Industries!"

Jay gasped. "Not the Borg Industries! As in the home of super genius recluse Cyrus Borg? Inventor of the hover-car and everything else cool in this world?"

"Who cares about Cyrus Borg?" Kai asked as he went to get some coffee. When he turned around, he discovered that his colleagues were already gone. 

____Timeskip_____

The students and teachers of the academy take their bus to New Ninjago city, which had been rebuilt and upgraded in the aftermath of the battle with the Overlord through the efforts of Borg Industries, headed by inventor Cyrus Borg.

Distracted by the unbelievable new technology, Nya accidentally crashes the bus straight into the Postman's hover-truck. Cole exits the bus to deal with the crash, but a Borg Industries Security Mech arrives and asks him to move aside as it deals with the problem.

Sensei Wu decided that since they were a short distance away, the pupils and teachers should take the walk to the building on foot. There was a large crowd outside the build preventing them from entering the tower.

The crowd were fans of something called 'Treble Makers' People in the crowd were holding up signs and cheering.

"How are we suppose to get past that?" Jay complained. Brad was excited though.

"Cool, the Treble Makers are here! I'm a huge fan I haven't missed a single ticketed performance since I've been at this stupid academy." Brad gloated to his fellow students.

"Oh, I love their lead singer she just so cool." Sally the red-headed student shouted. "My new favourites are Virus and Delete me."

"Really mine's Bad Luck Charm." Brad announced and started humming the song quietly.

They were all soon tracked down by a female android created to act as Borg's assistant P.I.X.A.L (Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Lifeform)

"Everything in New Ninjago City is fully automated and interconnected. Your antiquated bus should be ready shortly. You are Zane, a droid. What does Zane stand for?" P.I.X.A.L demanded.

"I stand for peace, freedom, and courage in the face of all who threaten Ninjago." Zane informs her.

"She means your name." Jay corrected his friend. As P.I.X.A.L lead them inside P.I.X.A.L then notified the Ninja that Cyrus Borg is waiting for them on the 100th floor in his office.

Then scanned Zane, inner-workings without the Nindroid's consent. "Hey, what did you just do to my friend!?" Cold demanded as the others pulled Zane behind them to protect him.

P.I.X.A.L began to taunt Zane. "Your hardware is outdated, your processor is slow and incompatible with all Borg-droids."

"Peculiar. All droids must recharge our batteries, yet curiously. I'm unable to locate your energy source."

"Hey! No one insults my friend." Kai spat at P.I.X.A.L. Zane looked hurt be P.I.X.A.L's comments.

"Mr Borg would like to see the Ninja on the 100th floor. If the others would follow me for the rest of the tour." P.I.X.A.L declared ignoring Kai and starts to lead the students, Sensei Wu, and Nya for a tour of the tower and its technology.

As the ninja left to meet Mr Borg, Nya noticed some of the students gathered around The Perfect Match Console and joined in.

(Ninja P.O.V)

As the Ninja arrive in the office of Cyrus Borg, the Ninja were shocked to see someone that made them all very happy.

(Y/N) she was talking to Cyrus Borg along with a steampunk looking Zane. The three hadn't noticed the Ninja yet.

"I'm such a huge fan! I have every piece of memorabilia ever made about the Treble Makers." Cyrus Borg fan-shrieked shacking (Y/N)'s arm.

"T-that's nice. Sorry, the rest of the band couldn't be here to meet you but Echo needed help." (Y/N) told Cyrus Borg trying to get her hand back.

"My deepest condolences, Echo. I heard about your father. Oh, he was a brilliant mind. He would have fit right in." Cyrus Borg said sympathetically to Echo Zane.

"I do not wish to talk about it, while it pains me about my father's loss, he did abandon me. I am conflicted." Echo Zane said and (Y/N) hugged him.

The Ninja were silent. Jay, Cole and Kai's eyes were on Zane, waiting for his reaction. Though, he seemed to only be able to stare at the younger android.

An awkward silence hung over the ninja Zane was filled with his own confusing thoughts. "I have a brother?"

"How is that possible? Father never discussed him, even when we were at the lighthouse. Did he just overlook him? Was it because I was there? Did he feel that my brother was no longer significant?"

"I'm sorry we didn't get to him in time for you to get your answers, Echo." (Y/N) said still hugging Echo Zane.

"It is alright, (Y/N). I have you that is all I need." Echo Zane told her.

"(Y/N)!" The Ninja all shouted finally getting their collective scenes back.

(Y/N) froze thinking that some rabid fans had broken in. Once she saw it was only the Ninja she relaxed. "Oh, it's only you four I thought you were more rabid fans."

"Are the 'fangirls' gone?" Echo asked as he uncovered his ears Cyrus Borg laughed at how scared Echo looked at that thought of increased fans.

"It ok Echo. False alarm no Fangirls. We're safe." (Y/N) said giving him a hug.

"I do not like Fangirls. They are terrifying beings that will stop screaming." Echo Zane told (Y/N) how was patting his head. "I know I don't like it either." She told him.

Jay and Cole ran forward and hugged (Y/N) in a crushing embrace. "(Y/N)! Where have you been!" Jay cried burying his face into (Y/N)'s shoulder.

"Why didn't you find us!?" Kai demanded get mad at (Y/N). "You lot never found me! I sent letters!" (Y/N) spat getting mad at the four ninjas. "Once I figured out how to send them." (Y/N) mumbled that part.

Zane stepped forward to greet his long-lost brother before Kai ruined his chance. "Um... Echo I think someone would like to talk to you. Would you like me to stay or wait outside?" (Y/N) asked pushing the Ninja off of herself.

"Wait? (Y/N) you know the Ninja?" Cyrus Borg questioned. "I do not wish to talk about this right now, Mr Cyrus Borg but our interests aligned in an unusual way, while I was protecting a small child." (Y/N) told him.

"(Y/N), you are my Girl-Friend. I would like you by my side right now." Echo Zane said misunderstanding what girlfriend meant.

Cyrus Borg chuckled noticing the droids mistake, but the Ninja's did not they looked like they were about to explode from the news.

(Kai P.O.V)

Kai was absolutely burning with jealousy. "This Zane wannabe is (Y/N)'s boyfriend?" Kai thought venomously.

The burning desire he had for (Y/N) had been locked away under sorrow and pain for so long, but now it was trying to break out and just take what he wanted.

So far he had been able to contain himself right now and remain calm but the desire was now on a rampage. Thanks to the copper-tin can.

(Zane P.O.V)

Zane didn't like this feeling. It was like anger, hurt, and more anger, all rolled up into a pit in his stomach. Zane was having trouble comprehending what was happening before him.

"I feel conflicted. Was this my punishment." Zane thought looking back and forth between (Y/N) and his brother.

"Was it because Zane took their father with him from that lighthouse, away from his brother. His brother took (Y/N) away from Zane?"

"Is it... did you do it because you hate me for that, Brother?" Zane thought to himself.

(Cole P.O.V)

"It should be me... Not that-that metal bastard!" Cole told himself. Cole gritted his teeth and tried his best to hold it together. The raging envy coerced through his veins.

"What does (Y/N) see in him? He's just a machine..." I thought bitterly. Cole had so many questions. But he couldn't find an answer.

(Y/N) made his heart flutter and stomach twisted in ways he didn't know was possible and his mind clouded by her.

The feeling just got worse. He was flushed and had a sudden desire to go to her and steal her away for this tin head copy.

(Jay P.O.V)

"I don't know what to say." I was trying to make sense of all of this.

(Y/N) was alive but she had a boyfriend? Just knowing that (Y/N) was alive was like a volt of electricity running throughout his body making him shiver in delight and happiness.

But I felt something crawling into my heart...I felt numb I couldn't even hear what Cyrus Borg was saying to us. My legs felt numb, and I felt this stinging pain filling my entire body.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Cyrus Borg was showing them to a gift he wanted to give them: an automated statue of himself.

Cyrus Borg then handed (Y/N) a guitar case telling her he'd upgraded it specially, just for her. "Don't open it here. Wouldn't want some unsavoury element harassing someone as lovely as you for it."

But Cyrus Borg quickly warns Kai that they should protect "them" with their lives and to not let anyone know they had them.

Then tells them all that they must leave since he has things to do.

Walking into the elevator with their gifts, The Ninja and (Y/N) begin to get suspicious about Cyrus Borg.

The Ninja being distracted by Echo Zane, accidentally dropped the statue, breaking it discovering that it was hollow and is filled with new suits as well as the Techno Blades.

Suddenly, a robotic security voice in the elevator says "Techno Blades located. Apprehend. The assailants will stand down and drop the Techno Blades!"

"First you call us pedestrians, and now we're assailants?" Jay screamed at the computer.

"Nothing works. Perhaps a malfunction?" Zane questioned tapping the buttons.

"Guys, these must be the Techno Blades. We have to protect them with our lives." Kai shouted grabbing them.

"Have it your way. Goodbye." The Computer announced and the elevator drops toward the ground at high speed.

"Let the elevator have the Techno Blades. Kai! I think it made its point!" Jay screamed at the top of his lungs.

____Timeskip_____

P.I.X.A.L was leading Wu, Nya, and their students to the factory area, just as the system was being hacked so she also gets under control of it.

"And this factory line where—This is will be the end of your tour." P.I.X.A.L said her eyes turning red.

The factory machines and P.I.X.A.L starts terrorising the students but they find the exit to the outside.

"Get to the academy as fast as you can, sis," Kai told Nya as she boarded the school bus filled with the scared students. "We need the Golden Ninja."

"But what about you guys?" She asked, clearly worried about their safety. "Wait? (Y/N)?" Nya asked spotting (Y/N) and Echo Zane.

"Echo, stay with the children and protect them." (Y/N) ordered shoving him onto the bus.

"Cool, It's Echo and (Y/N) from 'Treble Makers'." Brad shouted out.

"We must protect the people." Sensei Wu stated as the virus spread to the rest of the machines of New Ninjago City, causing them to attack the civilians.

Then abruptly, the bus was ambushed by a Security Mech, but The Ninja were all swift to act.

While Cole, Zane, Jay and Kai kept the bus from falling over, Echo Zane jumped onto the robot and remove the wires from its neck.

The robot fell forwards, unable to move as the class applauded. Just as Nya was able to start the bus and drove them back towards the Academy.

"So these Techno Blades can hack into their systems!" Kai bellowed to his friends as soon as the bus was gone.

Jay nodded with a chuckle.  "So, what do you say we do a little hack-attack?"

"Zane, Kai, you take to the skies." Sensei Wu directed. " I want Cole and Jay on the ground. (Y/N) and I will do what we can for the people."

"You're lucky that the computer tried to kill me or this wouldn't be happening right now." (Y/N) hissed at the old man her eyes briefly glowed an orangeish yellow.

"Woohoo! Anyone else feeling all tingly inside? Ninjago!" Cole shouted happily.

Kai jumped onto Zane's chopper and managed to hack an enemy plane, making it his own.

In an attempt to make the plane fly faster, Kai pushed a few buttons, which only made a blue hologram of Cyrus Borg appear on the control board.

"So you've figured out how the Techno Blades work." The blue hologram said. "You must know, they are far, far more important than you think."

"Would you mind explaining-" Kai tried again only to be interrupted once again.

"This is a pre-recorded message, but I can tell you that a few weeks ago, we discovered a virus, dormant in our system. The Overlord."

"You have to get the Techno Blades out of the city. Because once he knows you have them, he'll never let you leave. I've also given you new outfits to help block the facial recognition software."

"Had I known this would happen, I would never have built where the Overlord was destroyed." The hologram finished off. "Goodbye Ninja and good luck."

Just as the message ended, Kai narrowly avoided being shot to death by the hacked jets. 

"We have to get the Techno Blades out of the city!" Kai announced his friends as we each doing there best, trying to repel the robots and protect the people of Ninjago city.

"But what about Sensei and (Y/N)?" Zane asked over the radio." We can't leave without them!"

"There!" Jay shouted pointed towards the ground, where Sensei Wu and (Y/N) were helping the civilians to safety underground. "I'll pick them up and meet you guys at the intersection of Wilbert and Flemming."

Jay successfully managed to pick Sensei Wu up. But (Y/N) lingered holding off some virus-infected Security Mechs by herself.

The Ninja made it to the intersection as promised, but were surrounded by the virus-infected Security Mechs within the blink of an eye.

"There's too many!" Cole frantically tried to keep the crowd away, but it got closer with every second. "We'll never get out!"

"Keep fighting! They have to run out of batteries at some point." Jay shouted.

"Well, I'm not so sure about that." Zane gulped as Mechs completely surrounded them with nowhere to escape.

But then, a bright beam of light struck down the virus-infected Security Mechs, defeating them all at once. The Ninja cheered at the familiar sight of Lloyd. "All right!" Cole yelled as the Ninja ran to greet their friend.

"Robots versus Ninja?" Lloyd stated and landed on the ground with a chuckle. "Dare I ask?"

Lloyd smiled thankfully at his team but he was looking around searching for someone.

"You're looking for (Y/N), aren't you?" Cole asked him Lloyd nodded, his eyes full with concern. "Where is she? Nya said she was here! Did something happen to her? Did I-"

Lloyd was interrupted by a deep, rumbling sound and immediately knew what it was.

"So you couldn't help yourself." The Overlord's obscured face appeared on the screens surrounding the Ninja. "The Golden Ninja, we meet again."

"Overlord. I defeated you once, I'll defeat you again." Lloyd spat.

"Oh, I don't want to fight. I just want your power!" The Overlord cackled as his troops recovered one by one.

Lloyd was extremely outraged and took a step forward, but was quickly pulled back by Sensei Wu. "No Lloyd! Your power is only making them stronger!"

"But how do we fight?" Lloyd asked confused.

"We don't." Kai stated. "We just need to get you and the Techno Blades out of the city."

Cole nodded, but gulped when more and more Mechs started to recover from Lloyd's blast. "Uh, I don't think he'll let us leave."

The Ninja desperately looked to one and other, praying that someone would come up with a plan until Sensei Wu finally spoke. "I have an idea, but I don't have much time to explain. Listen close."

The Ninja leaned in and nodded once Sensei was done explaining his plan.

The Ninja hurried back to their vehicles and looked at each other as we waited for the sign to take action. Nervously glancing at the Security Mechs around them. 

"We have 4.2 percent chance of success, I'd say our hope is slim." Zane stated. "That's why it's called hope, Zane." Jay sighed.

"Searching for Techno Blades." A robotic voice sounded and thus, we knew that the time to take action was now.

The Ninja hastily raced to leave the city and the Overlord spotted Sensei Wu.

The Overlord was quick to send two choppers after the old man and managed to capture him on a building's rooftop.

But Sensei Wu's plan worked and the Ninja got out of the city safely with the Techno Blades.

"We have to go back for him!" Lloyd objected as they fled across the desert. "We will, but only when you're safe." Kai comforted him over the radio.

"He wants these weapons, and for some reason, he also wants you. Remember, this was Sensei's plan. They can't break him." Cole also reassured him.

"We will come back to New Ninjago City. " Zane continued. "And when we do, we'll be ready."

"But for now, we need to find someplace safe to hide. They'll be looking for us." Kai pointed out.
