"Most peculiar." Sensei Wu stated and looked out onto the horizon. "Yesterday there was ocean, now there's an Island."

The Bounty had landed in the middle of nowhere but at least there were some houses where those saved the ninja could seek shelter for now.

Nya and Jay were currently working on fixing the Bounty's booster rockets broken by the stone warriors.

Sensei Wu and Zane were standing on a big rock looking over at the dark island. Zane's falcon flew off towards the dark island.

Nya was talking to Jay, then turned to the rest of the team. "Sorry guys! She's not getting airborne any time soon." 

"Ugh, useless pile of junk!" Jay complained as he wiped a good amount of oil from his forehead.

Cole gulped. "So if the Stone Army attacks again- we're sitting ducks!"

"Ducks can fly Cole, weren't you listening?" Jay asked as he panicking a little.

"We just got our tails handed to us and we couldn't even stop one of them!" Kai sighed." Ugh, I hate feeling helpless!"

Sensei Wu approached them closely followed by Zane. "We mustn't give up hope Kai."

Lloyd stepped forwards. He still had an oily wrench in his hand and his wavy blond hair was now stained with oil and dirt.

(Y/N) looked at Lloyd she'd been sitting on a large rock flicking through her book rather frantically.

"But the Stone Army is indestructible!" Lloyd said. "You saw it, at best, all my powers can do is slow them down-"

"That's not entirely true." Misako interrupted her frustrated son. "There is a way to defeat them and it's told within the scrolls."

Misako lead everyone including a reluctant Lloyd and (Y/N) inside the malfunctioning ship and into the bridge where she rolled out an ancient scroll on the table.

"The prophecy reveals that the power to defeat the Stone Army lies within The Green Ninja-"Misako was cut off by Lloyd. "I tried! I-I gave them everything I had!"

She motioned for us to take a look at the scroll and we were all met by the same picture that caused everyone to believe they were The Green Ninja.

"-The true power of The Green Ninja can only be unlocked when his protectors find their own pure elemental powers." Mrs Garmadon continued.

"If we are the protectors, then we're doomed." Zane stated. " Our Elemental Golden Weapons no longer exists. We cannot tap into our elemental powers without them."

"But the powers do exist within each of you!!" Misako exclaimed as she unrolled yet another scroll. " And there is a way to unlock your powers on your own: we must go to The Temple of Light."

"The gold in The Golden Weapons were found in The Golden Peaks but they were forged in The Temple of Light, a powerful place I thought existed only in legend."

"It's on The Dark Island?" Sensei asked. Misako shrugged, slightly unsure. "Our only choice is to find out."

"So we get our powers back?" Cole jumped up from his chair and threw his hands in the air. "Alright!"

Nya smiled. "But there's still one big problem: the Bounty can't fly!"

"Is the boat part of this ship still seaworthy?" (Y/N) asked not looking up from her book.

"Of course it can sail!" Jay shouted happily hugging (Y/N) who was too engrossed in her book to notice the happy boy.

"Good. We'll take off tomorrow after you've bid your families goodbye." Sensei Wu ordered.

Everyone managed to get the bounty into the water, then everyone gathered before the Ninja's left.

Jay was saying goodbye to his tearful parents, Cole's dad sang him a song, Kai and Nya made sure so Dareth knew what he had to do and Lloyd had told the Ultra Dragon that he had to protect the people.

Zane didn't have any family to take farewell of. So he was saying on the bounty. Zane let out a large sigh and (Y/N) looked up from her book at him and gently patted his head.

Zane wasn't like (Y/N) family was just an F word to her but Zane he had one once that loved him very much.

Zane closed his eyes and allowed himself to enjoy a rare moment of public compassion from (Y/N).

"Zane, is there anyone you'd like to say farewell to?" Sensei Wu asked.

"My only family is my falcon. And my only memory of my father was nearly erased. I'll miss Ninjago for it's all I know. But I am excited to see what the future has in store." Zane said still enjoying (Y/N) comforting touch.

"What about you, (Y/N). Wouldn't your family say goodbye?" Sensei Wu asked. (Y/N) didn't want to ruin Jay's time with Mr and Mrs Walker so she stayed on the ship.

"Don't know them, Don't need them, I've got my book and my job that all I need." (Y/N) thought to herself still not looking up from her book.

"Well, my nindroid friend. There are a few people who'd like to say goodbye to you." Sensei Wu says and pointed at a bunch of fangirls who had a paper banner with his name on it, shouting and yelling after him. Zane looked happier once again.

Sensei Wu sighed (Y/N) still remained quiet, Not answering his question. But that would have to wait as the last of his students began to come on board.

"People! It's time we set sail!" Sensei Wu called out and the anchor was pulled up.

The Ninja pulled up the sails, while Dareth pretended to blow them away with his new element. Hot air.

"Jay! Did you make sure bring a clean underwear!?" Edna shouted out to him.

"Yes! Ugh!" Jay replied, before facepalming from embarrassment. Kai and the others laughed at him. (Y/N) didn't understand the joke.

When it became evening, the sun shone in a deep orange colour, making the water the same colour. It was beautiful.

"We still have a long journey ahead of us." Sensei Wu said his students joined him in standing in the front of the boat. Zane walked over, looking worried.

"Still no words from your falcon?" Cole asked.

"Not yet..." Zane answered sadly. He came and stood between (Y/N) and Lloyd. (Y/N) once again giving Zane some comfort without looking up from her book.

"I wonder what's on the island..." Kai wondered out loud. "An entirely new ecosystem." Zane proposes.

"Never before seen creatures." Cole suggested. "Oh! Vegetables that taste like dessert!" Jay shouted out happily.

"I wonder if this is the end of our destiny..." Lloyd grumbled, turning everything dark.

"If it is, I don't mind fighting alongside you I'd rather die in battle then cowering somewhere in fear." (Y/N) said giving him a pat on the head too.

Zane was about to say something, but he got a message from the falcon. His eyes began to glow light blue. 

"My falcon has arrived at the dark island!" He says and went to connect himself to the bridge so everyone could see what he did.

"There. Now we can all see." Zane says proudly.

On the screen, there were trees in blue. Zane looked down to see a stone warrior that throws a shuriken at the screen. The screen is shut down and Zane flies a meter away from the screen. Everyone let out a collective gasp.

"He's... He's gone..." Zane struggled to say. "We don't know that..." Sensei Wu says to him.

"Oh, Zane... I'm so sorry..." Nya says, while she and (Y/N) help Zane up.

"Well, he was our friend too... SO we're not gonna let him go in vain. If the stone army wants a fight, they got one." Kai says triumphantly slapping Zane on the back.

"We're sailing right for a storm." Misako shouted, pointing out the window to show a big grey cloud. "All hands on deck!"

"Why couldn't she have stayed with the others." Lloyd grumbled. "Ask your Uncle he wanted to bring her not me." (Y/N) answered.

The ninjas and (Y/N) battled with the wind to keep the sail from flying away. And Misako was helping Nya, Sensei Wu in the bridge.

"Hold the line!" Cole shouted. "I'am!" (Y/N) shouted back doing better than both Cole and Jay.

 "The wind's too strong!" Lloyd stated. "We need everyone's help, Kai!" Zane called. Kai was standing under cover not wanting to be wet.

"But I don't wanna get wet! I-I only have one pair of underwear!" Kai replied. 

"Shut up Kai! This stupid boat can only take so much!" (Y/N) yelled at him which could be heard over the sound of the thunder. Her eyes glowing for a moment.

"Now's not the time to try and be funny!?" Jay screamed as he held on as tight as he could. Then some noise sounding like laughter was heard.

"Okay, laugh all you want, we'll see who laughs when I have to go commando!" Kai spat. "I don't care what rank you call yourself!" (Y/N) screamed misunderstanding what he was talking about.

"Sounds like somebody's getting a kick outta this!" Nya complains about the sound.

"Uhm, guys?" Jay asked. "Why's the sea laughing at us?"

"And why do I have a feeling we're not gonna get the joke?" Kai gulped, still in hiding beneath the staircase.

Cole suddenly let go of the rope when he eyed something land on the deck. "Hey, what's that?"

Due to the lack of Cole's immense strength, Jay, Zane and Lloyd were pulled forwards by the rope.

"I'm coming!" Kai hurried over to them and grabbed the rope. "About time!" Jay commented.

Suddenly a small wave found it's way onto the ship and just happened hit Kai, causing him to get drenched in seawater.

Kai sighed. "Really? Come on!"

"It probably wouldn't have happened if you'd helped in the first place." (Y/N) hissed.

Cole approached the thing that made him let go of the rope. "It looks like a-" He picked the small orange creature up in his hands. "Starfish?"

"Wait! We must not let the Starteeth onboard! They devourer ships and they won't stop until we sink!" Mrs Garmadon screamed suddenly appeared at the top of the staircase.

Cole inspected the Startooth in his hand, just in time for it to bite him.  Cole yelled and threw the starfish-like creature overboard and clutched his hand. "It bit me!"

"Is that poisonous?" (Y/N) questioned concerned for Cole. But did not receive a reply.

About ten more Starteeth crawled onboard and some of them decided to head for the line in the hands of the Ninja and (Y/N). It didn't even take them five seconds to chew it to pieces.

The Bounty tilted to the side once again and everyone was thrown into the side of the ship.

"Get these things off the ship!" Kai ordered, only to get one straight in the face. "Ah! I'm starstruck!"

(Y/N) grabbed a broom and started to swat at the starteeth on the deck and knocking them off board.

"Agh!" Kai yelled from the other side of the deck as multiple starteeth stuck to his back." Get them off, get them off!"

"Kai! Don't use Spinjitzu!" (Y/N) shouted but it was too late. "Ninja, Go!" Kai shouted out

The starteeth embedded in Kai's back let go as he spun around but instead stuck themselves to the sail and mast.

(Y/N) facepalmed. "Ok, bad idea." Kai chuckled.

Jay gasped beside (Y/N), signalling that they didn't get rid of them all. He pointed at a metal chain on the deck that some starteeth were eating through.

Cole leant over the side of the railing so he could look at the side of the ship. "We have a bigger problem!"

A group of about thirty starteeth had attached themselves to the side of the ship and was in the middle of chewing it wide open.

"Aww, Brick!" (Y/N) hissed.

___Timeskip___

"This is hopeless!" Jay sighed as he passed (Y/N) a bucket filled with water. The last two hours had been spent trying to get all the water off the ship and needless to say: they weren't really making any progress.

"Now that we have no rotter, we've been drifting aimlessly and will never get to The Dark island!" Jay continued to cry.

"We only know what is foretold will happen, not when it will happen." Mrs Garmadon said gesturing to the scrolls in her arms. "Lloyd will face his fath-"

(Y/N) took one look at Lloyd's face about to burst into helpless tears. "STOP MAKING THIS WORSE!" (Y/N) screamed at Misako.

Mrs Garmadons eyes went wide and began screaming back at (Y/N) who did the same her eyes glowing from rage.

Zane suddenly dropped the bucket with water he was carrying. "I-" He walked toward the hole in the ship and looked outside. "Sense something."

"Is it the falcon? Is he alright?" Jay asked hopefully.

Zane shook his head. "No... It's- " He looked out of the hole and gasped when he saw something in front of the barely sailing ship. "-Something else! Brace yourselves!"

The ship crashed into real ground, which caused everybody to fall on top of each other.

(Y/N) stood up, but accidentally bumped her head into someone else's on on the way up, making the person fall backwards once again.

"Ouch!" The person, who turned out to be Kai. "You've got ahead of steel Kai! No wonder you're the fire Ninja." (Y/N) hissed getting up.

(Y/N) snorted when she saw Mrs Garmadon who now had her head stuck in a bucket and couldn't get it off. 

"Who builds a lighthouse way out here?" Lloyd asked as he left the bounty and saw the lighthouse.

"It's not a lighthouse... It's a prison..." Zane said as he began to go up the stairs. The others followed after.

Sensei Wu had to help his sister-in-law up the stairs the bucket just didn't want to come off.

But not (Y/N) she was staring out at the ocean there was a strange sound from the sea. Like someone was groaning.

It reminded her of something but she just couldn't remember.

(Y/N) jumped when someone placed there had on her shoulder. It was Jay. "Are you ok?" Jay asked. "J-Jay I'm having the weirdest sense of deja vu." (Y/N) warned.

"It'll be ok." Jay promised, leading her up the stairs. "Jay if something bad happens... Look after Lloyd, take him to stay with your parents ok?" (Y/N) asked him. Jay gave her hand a tight squees. "Nothing bad will happen but if it does you have my word." Jay promised again.

When they reached the top, there was a camera just above the door. "Uh... Should we smile!?" Jay asked nervously and gave a little smile.

Then the door opened to reveal an old man with glasses, white hair and a white coat.

"Zane!" He exclaimed. Zane gaped. "Is it really you!? You found me!" He exclaimed and hugged Zane.

"Uh... do you know him?" Lloyd asked awkwardly. 

"Of course I know him! I build him for heaven's sake! I'm Dr Julien."The elder man said and straightened his glasses.

"But my memory tells me you've passed!" Zane says confused.

"Ah! You found your memory switch." Then another groan came from the sea. "Hurry! It can't know that you're here! Or else there'll be trouble to pay!"

"IT?" Jay gulped with shaking voice.

"I-I will explain everything inside... Including why you thought I was dead." Dr Julien says.

We all went inside. Then Dr Julien locked the door while telling himself what he was doing.

"Locking, barricading, aaaaand, checking. I think we're safe! This way." Dr Julien said and led everyone up the stairs. He showed them to a single room. "Please, please! Have a seat! You must be thirsty!" He said, but there was nowhere to sit.

"Sit? Where?" Zane asked and scratched his head. Dr Julien pulls a lever behind Zane and the light ball for ships to see the lighthouse, is replaced with a table.

"Here of course!" Dr Julien says "Wow! That's pretty smart!" Nya compliment.

Everyone all sit down Sensei Wu had to help Misako, Dr Julien clicked a button and a little robot came out and jumped up onto the table. It began to place out cups to everyone. Then jumped down before getting a teapot from Dr Julien. It began to pour tea to everyone.

Kai was annoying it, and moved his cup around. The robot tried to pour into the cup, but Kai moved it again. It ended up pouring the hot tea into Kai's lap. Kai screamed everyone laughed at Kai as he jumped around.

Zane went up to a design of himself. "Father... I don't understand... I saw you pass." He says.

"Yes, you did! Believe me when I tell you! I thought I was kaput! But as you know in Ninjago... The past is the past..." Dr Julien says.

"And the future...Is the future..." Sensei Wu and Misako said together.

"Yes! But after I turned your memory switch off, you didn't see, that bonehead Samukai reviving me with a special elixir. He wanted me to create a skeleton war machine for their army... He said if I did it, that I'd be able to see my son again. And to make sure I didn't escape, He chained a sea monster to keep watch." Dr Julien said.

"A sea monster? That's what we heard in the ocean!?" Lloyd exclaim. (Y/N)'s full attention was given at the mention of a sea monster.

"Yes... When Samukai didn't return... I thought I'd never see you again... But with that long time that passed... I started to wonder if you ever wanted to see me again... I was afraid... that if you found out what horrible things I've created... You would think I was a ... a monster..." Dr Julien said sadly.

"We will get you out of here, father. Now that we are together... perhaps we can come up with a way to get off this rock." Zane says, placing his hand on his father's shoulder.

"Can you repair the rocket boosters on our ship?!" Jay asked and pointed out the window at the bounty. Dr Julien looked at it.

"That sailing ship has rocket boosters!?" He asked fascinated. "Well, the routers and gears are off..." Nya says.

"Uh! Piss-poss! That's no matter! I'll have the ship ready by dawn!" Dr Julien says. But then was another groan. This time much higher. The while lighthouse was shaking.

"Ugh! An earthquake!" Kai says.

"No... It's much worse! It's here! Everyone hide!" Dr Julien whisper-screamed.

Everyone scattered to hide somewhere. Lloyd and (Y/N) were hiding behind a bunch of boxes. From the window, they could see something tentacle-like with three yellow eyes.

"Nobody make a sound..." Dr Julien says and turns to the eyes. "If it isn't my old chum! Mr Leviathan." Dr Julien says. The eyes looked through the other window. It looked at all the cups on the table. Dr Julian was fast to turn them all over, using chopsticks to make sounds.

"Eheh! Just marching to the beat of my own drum. Doda titachi rachacha! You know! Doing whatever I can to pass the time! Daradatta! Since I'm... you know... hehe heh alone..." He says and the eyes left.

Everyone came out from where they hid.

"If we're gonna make something to get outta here, we're gonna have to hurry. Before 'it' comes back." Kai says and everyone agreed. 

They all worked strenuously to get everything done. Zane made everyone food. Misako even managed to get the bucket off of her head. When they were done, Dr Julien and Zane were the only ones left in the lighthouse.

The rest were finishing the last things in the bounty. But then there was a groan again. This time accompanied by many, many tentacles coming up from the water. Zane and Dr Julien came running.

"Get us outta here, Nya!" Jay said as they all ran into the boat.

"I hope she's ready!" Nya says and Misako pulled a lever, starting the rocket boosters. The Bounty now had a big balloon instead of a mast. But for the moment, just when the Bounty was about to leave, the tentacles got ahold of the Bounty turning it upside down and it wasn't letting go.

"Lloyd! Use your elemental powers!" Sensei Wu ordered.

"Roger!" Lloyd sent a small blast of green energy, making the tentacles let go.

"Release us you monster!" Lloyd called out. The Bounty was caught again. "It won't let us leave!" Lloyd shouted trying again.

(Y/N) spotted something will she was dangling in the air by her arms as she looked at this sea monsters body to see a huge chain.

(Y/N) looked around at everyone on board and made her decision. "I've got a plain!" (Y/N) shouted and took off her cloak letting the sea breeze take it. "What are you waiting for an invitation!?" Kai screamed at her.

"Lloyd's not going to like it, but I'm going to do my job." (Y/N) shouted out and let go with one of her hands and pulled out her weapon from her satchel. "What do you mean I'm not going to like it?" Lloyd shouted.

"Jay! Keep your promise! Misako! When it lets go! Max power and don't stop!" (Y/N) shouted wrapping her weapon around her.

"Lloyd be good and I'll see you all in Ninjago." (Y/N) shouted as she let go plummeting down into the water.

"(Y/N)!!!!" Lloyd screamed and tried to go after her Zane and Dr Julien grabbed hold of him to stop him.

"What does she think she's doing? This ocean is filled with Starteeth!" Dr Julien shouted.

"I believe that is her idea." Zane tells his father.

The water was a lot warmer than (Y/N) was expecting, which was a little disappointing to her as she continued to dive further and further down towards the bottom of the ocean. (Y/N) squinted her eyes together, looking around for what she was searching for.

A large, very thick, chain was tied to the bottom of the ocean and connected to the sea monster. Just seeing this creature filled her with a sense of nostalgia and melancholy.

(Y/N) smiled at her they came the Starteeth (Y/N)'s meteor hammer had attracted the hungry Starteeth.

(Y/N) led them to the thick, chain was tied to the bottom of the ocean.

The Starteeth began to chew through it with ease, releasing the sea creature. Now that it was free the creature let go of the ship. Misako started the boasters and off the Bounty went towards the Dark Island.

A small, somewhat pleased, growl was heard throughout the sea the Leviathan waved goodbye with its tentacles.

"Farewell, creature of the sea. Enjoy your freedom." (Y/N) thought as the coldness of the sea finally overtook her.

"It let us go!" Kai exclaimed. "I can't believe it!"

"What happened?" Dr Julien asked from the floor. "(Y/N) released the Leviathan and now it's letting is go!" Zane explained which caused Dr Julien to nod.

"Where's (Y/N)!" Lloyd demanded looking around at the ocean in hopes of seeing her but she didn't resurface.

"We've got to go back!" Jay yelled and Nya nodded in agreement. "We don't have the time." Masako announced refusing to change course.

"What?! (Y/N) still back there!" Cole shouted at her. "We can't leave that poor girl behind she saved us." Dr Julien told Misako.

"We don't have enough fuel." Misako told them all. Misako turned to Wu with big sad eyes fake tears about to fall. "Wu..." Misako said her lips wobbling as she started sniffling.

"W-we can't go back." Misako said with fake sniffles of sadness.

"And the future...Is the future..." Sensei Wu sighed in agreement.

The lighthouse was already far, far from view all Sensei Wu could do is hope (Y/N) had made it back there.

(Y/N) felt calm as the darkness of the sea overtook her. "This feels familiar too..." (Y/N) thought thinking back to the sensation she had at the volcano.

(Y/N) had once overheard someone say all of life's questions are answered in death, maybe she would have her answered too.

Something disturbed the stillness of the ocean around her (Y/N) tried to open her eyes and saw a glint of something copper in the water reaching out to her.

(Y/N) gently reached out to it her arm just floating in the water it touched her hand it felt rusty like some of the metal at Ed and Edna's junkyard.

(Y/N) smiled at this it was a nice familiar and safe feeling that reminded her of a happy place and warm kind people.

(Y/N) closed her eyes enjoying the feeling one list time before darkness finally overtook her.

The next time (Y/N) opened her eyes she was looking at the ocean and the sand rocking back and forth.

(Y/N) felt a little sick and began coughing up some salty water. "Whoa. I'm really high up." (Y/N) thought to herself. As the sea and sand stopped swaying (Y/N) felt someone pat her back gently to help her coughing up more water.

(Y/N) realised she wasn't high up someone was carrying her and her head was on their shoulder.

"It is ok, I am Zane I was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves." A voice said.

"It did sound like Zane's voice only a little higher and cuter." (Y/N) thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep.
